We drove by this place several times before deciding to stop and check it out. The menu is quite big for a food cart, with lots of options. We wanted to try the sliders, both the fried chicken and the smoked chicken. We each got our own fried chicken and split the smoked chicken. I was debating on getting a small side of mac so we could try it. But we got the smoked chicken with mac on top instead. I'm so glad I didn't get a whole side. It seemed a little bland to me. The smoked chicken was also a little dry, and it had a flavor I didn't particularly love, but hey, I know from the reviews a lot of people like it. I just like my chicken a little more moist and my Mac to have a bit more flavor. The fried chicken was excellent! It had great flavor and perfect crunch. I added siracha mayo to it and kept the bbq. Next time I think I'll ditch the bbq as it was a bit too sweet for me, but I don't like sweet bbq sauce at all. Other than the bbq sauce, the sandwich was perfection. I'd definitely get it again. We also got two side orders of fries. They're pretty large so you could probably order one and share between two people. The fries are supposed to be twice fried, which when I saw that, I thought they'd be like Belgian Frites, but they're not. They're shoestring-style fries. Smoked chicken and flavorful mac for the win! My husband was referred to this spot by a coworker and we finally found ourselves on the west side of PDX and hungry. We ordered the OG mac and smoked wings. It was so tasty! They add seasoning to their mac and cheese and it's real creamy. I even got to try some samples of grilled chicken right off the grill and that tasted great, too. If I hadn't already ordered then I would have gotten some of that, too. There was a line of people (pretty consistently) so the wait was pretty long. If you can order ahead of time then I would suggest that. Otherwise, plan for a wait. We had our grandchildren over last nite. They wanted to try the mac & cheese food truck. We ordered on-line for delivery by Door Dash, the company the food truck uses exclusively. What a f*****g mistake! 20 minutes after the estimated delivery time - 1 hour later - I started getting phone calls (3 total within 2 minutes) from a number listed on my phone as unknown caller from Albuquerque, NM. No messages left. I looked up the delivery status on-line and saw the Door Dash driver's name and phone number - the same # as the unknown caller. I called and spoke with her. She was at the food truck and reported they hadn't even started our order bc one item was no longer in stock. She indicated the food truck people had told her they attempted numerous times to contact me - complete lies and total bullsh*t. No e-mails. No phone calls. No texts. Nothing. These people are as dishonest with their delivery drivers as they are with their customers. I was offered a new delivery time - probably up to an additional hour - for them to replace my order in their cue and wait for another driver, etc. Obviously, we said No Thanks and strongly suggested she inform Door Dash to red-flag this food truck. She was stuck with no pay/tip. We were stuck with no food. All because of the laziness and dishonesty of the food truck workers. Good news: we went out to a restaurant we've been taking the grandkids since they were infants and had a wonderful meal and time. If you're thinking about using The Mac, only do so if you're willing to go to their truck, order and wait. Hopefully, their food is worth it. I'll never know and never order in-person or on-line from them again. The Mac has very cheesy and delicious Mac & cheese! Not the best I've ever tried, but definitely good! The cheese sauce is creamy, smoked and the just perfect amount of saltiness. I love that they use thick spiral pasta because it makes the food even more fun to eat. Don't forget to add toppings! I got the OG Mac with bacon and a fried egg. I don't think I ever want to eat Mac & cheese without a fried egg ever again! Between two people, we got a 2lb-er and could've eaten more. Anything less than that people wouldn't be enough for two. My favorite food cart in Tigard. Hands down. The service was fabulous and the wait was absolutely reasonable and food arrived hot and timely. The lobster and shrimp still have the shell on, and the lobster is very tough to eat. It would be better if it was prepped better or just taken out of the shell completely. So much bigger than a slider. The fried chicken is made to order and it was a busy lunch time so it took some time but boy was it good very crispy and juicy. The smoked chicken was moist and very flavorful and the Mac n cheese was very rich and yummy. When I went to pay they said it was their soft opening and just wanted us to enjoy the food and come back. We will be back for sure!! "King crab" is not the same as snow crab. We ordered $52 surf n' turf special. It was advertised as having 8oz of King Crab and 8oz of grilled Ribeye plus 2lbs of OG mac.. When we got home and opened the bag.. The "King crab" was actually snow crab. Disappointed, we ate it anyways. Luckily it was tasty. But having been let down by the false advertising, our expectations were not met. However, with what happened the last time that I was there we will not be coming to this location ever again. Before I even ordered one of the workers there had opened the back of the truck and started to flag a customer down. The taste and texture, disgusting. Not worth $11 at all. We also ordered 3 ribs for $5, it was the mustard ones. Those were dry af. They were really bland. Not worth it either. This place has really gone downhill. We called an order in and had to pay for it in advance via credit card to get the order started. They told us it would be ready in 15 minutes and we showed up a few minutes early. When we got their they told us our order still wasn't ready and we ended waiting 45min standing in their waiting area only to be told that they gave our food away to someone else because they didn't verify the name on the order. They told us it would be another 45minutes to remake our order and wouldn't even give us any discount if we had waited. It's a bummer because we did really love their dirty Mac and their chicken thighs but no food is worth dealing with this long of a wait and this poor of customer service.
