I don't even know what to say because words can't describe how happy I am after eating here. I had smoked chicken, fried chicken, and Mac sliders, and the 3 sliders for $15 is worth it... They're like the size of normal sandwiches and I like this value. Next thing is the meat. Wow the fried chicken is just so much better than why you can get around here. It's smoky af but still moist and wow I was really impressed. Prob even better with some bbq sauce. The smoked chicken, also really quite good with the crunchy fried onion on top being a gift from god. The Mac is great on its own but combined with the bread it's possibly the most satisfied I've ever been eating Mac and cheese. I'm thoroughly impressed, tastes authentic and def made from scratch and smoked forever. read more

Ordered 2 fried chicken thighs and a half pound mac and cheese. The Mac is going to be the new spot. Golden crispy fried chicken, greatly cooked. The seasoning is on point. The mac and cheese was just perfect not so light and no heavy, it had just the right amounts of everything. The guy that works there (didn't get his name) is super friendly and knows how to deal with customers. Great place, great food, will definitely come back. read more

My husband works down the street and brings this home to us. When he first said he was going to, I though" Mac n cheese...meh" but this isn't the usual. The Mac and cheese is delicious but, for me, the slider sandwiches are where it's at. They make a smoked chicken, fried chicken and a Mac n cheese, and they're all fantastic. Perfect sized for my kids and the flavors are on point. Of course, I'll take a side of that delicious Mac too. read more

The younger light skinned man wanted a 5 star review.. AND BOY DO YOU GET ONE. Easily the best BBQ spot on the westside of Portland I will never bother with chain BBQ restaurants when I have a BBQ craving. I got the 3 sliders one of them "dirty" with their mac and cheese on it and their fries and a side of fried Oreo's. Well worth the money, the bun is good and the smoked chicken is exactly how you think smoked chicken should taste. Although they promised me an extra fried oreo and I didnt get it, that's okay! Those are great as well. I will be returning without a doubt. read more

went around noon and this place was such a disappointment. the guy that took my order was rude. i've had wayyyy better mac and cheese and lobster for way cheaper. mac and cheese taste like the box one you make at home. the lobster taste like it was sitting in the freezer for a week. i had that bowl that was around 36 (?) dollars. i don't remember but it was disgusting. not a lot of flavors. read more

This place has THE BEST mac and cheese I have ever had in my life. Mac and cheese is my absolute favorite food, so that being said when I go out to eat I order it often, and I'm typically very picky about how Mac and cheese is made. The macs Mac and cheese is creamy, tangy, and just the right amount of cheesy. You will feel like your mouth is in heaven. Their smoked chicken is also phenomenal (and I typically don't even like smoked meat) but I chowed down on my Mac and cheese and smoked chicken wings faster than I've ever ate anything before. I tried this place for the first time Friday. Ordered the fried chicken, chicken skins and dirty fries. The fried chicken and chicken skins were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The dirty fries however were completely tasteless. No seasoning of any kind. Very little cheese and ketchup, no onions or sour cream. When it come to flavors The MAC has some of the best seasoning I've had on a food truck! I've tasted everything on the menu just about and not one has disappointed me. Smoked chicken sliders would have to be my favorite followed by the fried chicken slider! The meat from the birds has always fallen off the bone! This was terrible we ordered the four cheese Mac with hamburger and one with chicken $18.00 both were left out k warm at best not very cheesy the hamburger was purred couldn't even tell it was hamburger we were both so disappointed there pictures of the chicken look great but there macaroni missed the mark by a mile kraft macaroni out of a box would be 10x better read more

I have tried to go here multiple times and they are never open. I Have wasted multiple lunch periods at work to give them a chance. They have made no attempt to list current hours or change or hours (which La Real Taqueria does a very good job of, who is right next to them) even when they do open I will never recommend them. I've had the fried chicken wings, the popcorn chicken, and regular mac. Only potential downside is that the fried food takes a while. If you know that before you go there, you probably won't be disappointed. It's not a fast food joint, I enjoy having my chicken freshly fried. I'll be back often. read more

I love this place! I absolutely crave the mac & cheese and I usually have him add chicken that has just been pulled off of his barbecue it's been smoke to perfection... Oh my goodness my mouth is watering a little bit right now as I'm writing this because it sounds so delicious! He also has a choice of his smoked chicken, and his home baked pies that his mother makes you're not gonna believe how delicious they are!! I didn't go there this week but are usually try to go every week because I just can't stay away And it's close to my work on my way home for lunch. A great addition to Southwest!! I waited for about 10 minutes, I was the only one waiting to order, I was standing right up at the counter for the last five and was not even acknowledged. I had to leave because i am on a time constraint for lunch. There was a rancid smell the whole time. I couldn't tell if it was them or the guy standing next to me. Either way, i did not even get to try to the food, so I cannot speak to the quality of food, but the quality of service (rather lack there of) was terrible. Hopefully it was just a mistake. My 7yr old son and I have been wanting to try "The Mac" since it opened. But, timing was always off. Until today, My son spent the day with my mom and I ran some errands. I noticed that "The Mac" was open and thought about picking something up. But,with how much he was looking forward to it, my son, must be with me! When my mom dropped my son off (they drove past "The Mac" on the way to my place), he was expecting to have "The Mac" there when he arrived. So, shortly after he arrived we jumped into my car and headed up pacific hwy, where the slightly hidden gem of "The Mac" calls home. There was a line and small wait time. But, with the anticipation of waiting for about a year to try this place, we didn't mind. With our mouths watering I had to hold myself back from ordering everything! The employees were lovely and I got a lemonade to quench our thirst while we waited. The lemonade, caused my taste buds to dance and made me feel a little guilty, watching the cooks work their magic in the heat of the food truck. My son suggested, well did more then suggest, that the next time we go we will need to bring them lollypops. In the car we fought with our animal like instincts to tear into the food, which, aroma had filled the car. Getting home we couldn't wait for a formal setting and sat down on the couch, we dug in! Automatically, there was a nostalgic warmth of past childhood summers with my dad catching catfish and my stepmoms peach cobbler. These's were flavor's missed, an explosion of taste that you don't get with KFC's or popeye's,, a family feel, that you don't get while being just another number at other places. The Kids meal is generous and the portions were perfect! With our belly's round and full. And, without trying every thing on the menu, we almost felt incomplete, our taste buds wanted more! But, then the phrase, "there is always tomorrow", popped into my head and things seemed alright again. Thank you, Mac for bringing your little gem of a truck to TIgard!
