Excellent in every way. The lost pearl is a refreshing treasure. They could charge alot more. They deserve a thousand stars.

The home was beautifully restored and we stayed in the "pirate room" which had beautiful exposed beams original to the house.

The people who live here are amazing, very sweet and offered excellent advice. The food they made was delicious and very unique. The hot tub does sit about 4 people in it, the night I was there it seemed as if nobody in the house was interested in it so I was practically alone. Close distance to many wineries and restaurants. The rooms are all themed, I chose the city living and it was very pretty. Definitely recommend this place to ANYONE wanting to get away for a night and enjoy some wine out in Geneva. I can't wait to go again.

Really enjoyed all the cookies and tasty and plentiful breakfasts. Our room was upgraded at no cost because there were no other guests staying in the home this weekend, which we appreciated, especially with a pregnant wife. The only 2 critiques that I have- I would suggest to Jeff and Danielle to consider using 2-ply toilet paper. It was a little jarring to have everything else so nice and then have single ply paper. Perhaps if septic system care was an issue, you could install a bidet on the toilet. They are $30 on Amazon and an amazing upgrade to any toilet. Also, the upstairs bathroom faucet is too short- I kept making a mess of that lovely countertop because it doesn't extend far enough. Outside of these things, we loved our experience and hope to return the next time we come back to Geneva!

I have stayed at many of the B&Bs in the Geneva area. Each have their own style and attributes…read more This B&B has plenty of attributes. The location to the wineries is very good, while it is also close to the town of Madison. The setting is beautiful. The home is a country style mansion situated on a vineyard and a horse farm. The host, Kay, is a very nice person. She is friendly and helpful. She prepares a very nice breakfast using locally sourced ingredients. We were served fresh OJ, scrambled eggs with cheese and fresh chopped vegetables, bacon and homemade bread that was toasted perfectly. The decaf coffee was very good as well. Our room was located on the top floor and had a small balcony that overlooked the vineyard and horse corral. It was very peaceful and pleasant. The room had a king bed and a small refrigerator. The bathroom was small, but serviceable. The room temperature is centrally controlled, which makes it a little tricky for the host to find a temperature level that is comfortable for guests on different floors. There is a very active train track less than 2 miles from the B&B. Light sleepers may struggle with this as the trans run 24 hours.

We stopped at Vincent William Winery for a late lunch in January 2025 before driving back home to…read moreChicago. It was our first visit to the winery, and ended up being the best meal of our entire trip. I rave about it to everyone. The inn and restaurant are absolutely gorgeous--thoughtfully designed, warm, and elegant--and the entire property truly stands out in the Grand River Valley. The setting is stunning: a unique lakefront location with peaceful views that feel more like a boutique estate than a typical winery. Even in winter, the atmosphere was serene and inviting. What really impressed us, though, was the pride the staff takes in the place. We were given a full tour of the property, and it was clear how dedicated and invested they are in ensuring Vincent William Winery succeeds. That level of care shows in every detail. As for the food--wow. Every dish we ordered was outstanding, from the warm, crusty bread with baked brie and preserves to the vibrant house meatballs and beautifully prepared entrées. The pasta was rich and comforting, and the pork chop was perfectly cooked with hearty, flavorful sides. Presentation was as thoughtful as the flavors. The cocktails were equally impressive. The Old Fashioned was balanced, smooth, and among the best I've had at a winery. Their wines were excellent as well, and I cannot wait until they launch a wine club--I'd be ready to sign up. The chef's classes also sound fantastic and would be a no-brainer for us if we lived locally. Truly, we have zero criticisms. Prices felt quite fair for the quality and experience. The property is exceptional, and the staff offers the kind of genuine hospitality that's increasingly rare. Vincent William Winery is a unique lakefront gem, and every time we're in Greater Cleveland, we'll make it a point to return.

There is a park right next door too for additional parking. The grounds are still being worked on as it is still springtime and I definitely need to come back during the summer season and when the weather isn't so dreary in northeast Ohio. We asked to sit at a table by the window but were told we couldn't sit there, mind you it was not busy at all and no one sat at that table the entire time we were there so I wasn't very happy with the staff. We ended up eating at the bar since we could still somewhat see the water that way. The food and drinks were absolutely phenomenal so that and the ambiance is the only reason I would consider coming back as the staff really ruined the experience for me. Glad I didn't book an overnight stay for that reason alone. Moscato Cabernet Sauvignon Lavender Margarita Honey Whipped Ricotta Dip Wagyu Burger

We are always so inspired here! We very nearly named our daughter (expecting soon) Harper to honor this wonderful house and its history (we aren't, but maybe our next one). We look forward to the clean rooms, and of course the scrumptious breakfast! The owners/caretakers are fabulous hosts. Sitting in the tower overlooking the vineyards is an experience like no other. The owners were very welcoming and accommodated our early arrival, greeting us kindly and making sure we could get settled in right away. The property has a nostalgic, "grandmother's house" feel. We stayed in the Robert Harper Suite, one of three units, which featured a loft that we especially enjoyed. The separate kitchen area was thoughtfully stocked with essentials like a coffee pot and refrigerator, and storage space. The four-seat dining table was a nice touch. Each room includes a hot tub for two, which had plenty of hot water throughout our stay. Breakfast was plentiful and satisfying--an assortment of fruit, pastries, muffins, fresh-baked bread, homemade granola, an fresh omelet for each guest. Sue is a good cook. It was delivered by 7:30 a.m., and guests served themselves. The dining room fits three couples, but guest rooms feature space to eat privately. During our stay, two couples who traveled together ate together, while we enjoyed breakfast privately in our suite. Housekeeping was attentive as our room was refreshed with clean towels and trash removal daily, even without requesting it. Small details stood out, like many nightlights placed in hallways and stairwells--especially helpful when going up to the loft. Many Grandma's heritage antiques, flowers and crafts of a gone by era are spread throughout the property. Only one downside; temperature control. The house was set on air conditioning, and while the days were pleasant, the evenings turned chilly (dropping below 40°F), and then it rained, bringing even more cool. The in-room fireplace heater wouldn't turn on, and unlike a hotel, the thermostat can't be adjusted per room. While we made do by layering with sweaters and pants, and using all the blanket bedding, it was chilly. It's something to keep in mind when visiting in changing to cooler Fall weather. Overall, the Polly Harper Inn offered a cozy, accommodating stay with lots of thoughtful touches. We especially appreciated the charm of the property, the attentive hosts, and the comfort of our suite. It was also quiet as we didn't hear the other guests very often. We'd stay again and thank you for the nice visit. Recommend checking them out is they are very competitive with a regular hotel room and you get so much more for your money
