My husband has stayed 5 times, myself with him 3 times. It's pure MAGIC here. The grounds are beautiful! We've spent many hours on the benches discussing our future together. We are always so inspired here! We very nearly named our daughter (expecting soon) Harper to honor this wonderful house and its history (we aren't, but maybe our next one). We look forward to the clean rooms, and of course the scrumptious breakfast! The owners/caretakers are fabulous hosts. Sitting in the tower overlooking the vineyards is an experience like no other. We chose the Polly Harper Inn Bed & Breakfast in Geneva because the charming pink house immediately appealed to us and offered a central location for our plans. The owners were very welcoming and accommodated our early arrival, greeting us kindly and making sure we could get settled in right away. The property has a nostalgic, "grandmother's house" feel. We stayed in the Robert Harper Suite, one of three units, which featured a loft that we especially enjoyed. The separate kitchen area was thoughtfully stocked with essentials like a coffee pot and refrigerator, and storage space. The four-seat dining table was a nice touch. Each room includes a hot tub for two, which had plenty of hot water throughout our stay. Breakfast was plentiful and satisfying--an assortment of fruit, pastries, muffins, fresh-baked bread, homemade granola, an fresh omelet for each guest. Sue is a good cook. It was delivered by 7:30 a.m., and guests served themselves. The dining room fits three couples, but guest rooms feature space to eat privately. During our stay, two couples who traveled together ate together, while we enjoyed breakfast privately in our suite. Housekeeping was attentive as our room was refreshed with clean towels and trash removal daily, even without requesting it. Small details stood out, like many nightlights placed in hallways and stairwells--especially helpful when going up to the loft. Many Grandma's heritage antiques, flowers and crafts of a gone by era are spread throughout the property. Only one downside; temperature control. The house was set on air conditioning, and while the days were pleasant, the evenings turned chilly (dropping below 40°F), and then it rained, bringing even more cool. The in-room fireplace heater wouldn't turn on, and unlike a hotel, the thermostat can't be adjusted per room. While we made do by layering with sweaters and pants, and using all the blanket bedding, it was chilly. It's something to keep in mind when visiting in changing to cooler Fall weather. Overall, the Polly Harper Inn offered a cozy, accommodating stay with lots of thoughtful touches. We especially appreciated the charm of the property, the attentive hosts, and the comfort of our suite. It was also quiet as we didn't hear the other guests very often. We'd stay again and thank you for the nice visit. Recommend checking them out is they are very competitive with a regular hotel room and you get so much more for your money read more

Such a good bed and breakfast!!! Host was easy to communicate with and they live across the street so it makes it easy to get help but you don't see them if you don't want. Best part was the complementary breakfast! The food was fancy and plentiful! We could never finish the entire meal. There were omelette and quiches to list a few! So hard to find home cooked meals with various lodging places now! We were able to East breakfast one day in the patio looking out at vineyards, gorgeous! Would be happy to return. Probably one of the best deals and best locations in the Geneva winery district. read more

My husband and I cannot say enough nice things about the Polly Harper Inn. The room (we stayed in the Robert Harper) and the grounds were gorgeous. After dining at one of the local vineyards Saturday night, we spent the rest of the evening in the front garden finishing our bottle of wine. The ambiance of the inn was only surpassed by the delicious breakfast that was served on Sunday morning. We had a gift certificate we couldn't use last year due to the pandemic and other health issues. Thanks to the hosts and the b&b we were grateful for a very magical and relaxing weekend. My wife and I were gifted a one-night stay in this B&B for hte last weekend in September, which for us was significant, because Geneva's grape festival and parade takes place that weekend annually (read: wine). After a couple of hours of research before our trip, including lots of time on google maps, I found that there were too many wineries nearby to ever visit in a weekend. Being 15 minutes from downtown Geneva and the grape festival, I was thrilled that we would have plenty of wine-related activities! When we arrived to check in to the Inn, we had to pick up the key from the house next door (owners' residence) and they were very welcoming and friendly. I felt very comfortable the moment I walked into their house. We walked back to the Inn where we were parked and went into the house. We were so impressed upon our entry!! It felt as down-home as walking into your relative's country home. Grapevines surrounded the residence and the downstairs kitchen/dining area was very comfortable. Our room was even more impressive! There are three rooms, one on the first floor, two on the second. We stayed in the upstairs room called the Robert Harper room. I loved the unique layout. Again, so comfortable, like we were staying in a relative's house, but with no one else around. It was very quiet (which I suppose could vary depending on the other guests). But they must have the rooms sound-proofed because we didn't hear a thing from the other residents. (I will say that when I went downstairs in the morning, I could hear the guest inside their room talking on the phone very clearly) I would highly recommend this place to visit and to stay. And I would love for my wife and I to stay here again. The rates are reasonable, there are multiple wineries within 1-2 miles (and many many more if you're willing to drive 10-15 miles), plus a whiskey distillery almost next door. There were so many people out at these places late at night, it was clear that a lot of people visit to tour the distillery and wineries. This family operates an excellent business that is very desirable for out-of-towners like ourselves. I have nothing negative to say about this place, everything was so positive! read more

We loved staying at this place! The room and building were decorated beautifully and with so much attention to detail. The loft in the Robert Harper room was a unique touch. Breakfast was convenient and delicious with freshly baked main dishes and breads, cakes, and muffins. You can eat breakfast in your room on your own time. The landscaping is quite charming with lovely views of the neighboring vineyards. Close to wineries as well. I highly recommend and would definitely stay again. read more

To celebrate our anniversary, we stayed at this bed and breakfast in June. The room was very nice with a nice breakfast with huge portions. We had breakfast in the privacy of our room. The house is located away from major highways so not a lot of traffic. Several wineries are a short drive away, and we did a tour of the covered bridges in the area, plus a quilt barn trail tour. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Polly Harper Inn! Everything was immaculate, well maintained, welcoming, and charming. We stayed in the Polly Harper room which was stunning and even larger than expected. It was like stepping into another time period, romantic and warm, the attention to detail was impressive. My husband and I have been to the Polly Harper Bed and Breakfast three times and each stay was wonderful. The accommodations are beautiful and private, and the breakfasts are tasty and filling. We have been there twice due to activities at the Spires Sports Complex, but recently planned a winery tour in the area just to stay there again! You won't be disappointed.... read more
