Pros: - Location was convenient to the freeway, surrounding areas, and was safe - Hotel and room were very clean and updated - Breakfast had a wide variety of items and everything was hot and well-prepared - Staff was incredibly nice and went out of their way to help Cons: - The property needs some maintenance and upkeep. Surfaces like tables are worn and chipped. The huge lightshade in our room was broken and falling apart. Caulk and grout were cracked and looking poor, etc. - Humidity was really high indoors even though it wasn't horribly high outside. Our door would not close properly because of the humidity level and all my papers felt damp. - The public spaces (hallways, lobby, pool, etc) were very poorly lit with only these tiny wall sconces and no other lights. Overall, I would stay again, but definitely has some things needing improvement.

Apparently there was a concert going on in the area and there were no available hotels Airbnb's or bed-and-breakfast so my father had to sleep in the Denny's parking lot across the way from this hotel the next morning, the 17th Sunday I had booked and room for him here and although check-in time was until 3 PM when I spoke to Missy she understood the circumstances that my father was going through and let him check in early and get a shower and some sleep. my dad is 78. He was traveling alone by himself and it was horrible knowing that he had to sleep at a rest area. I just want to take the time out to thank Missy for her hospitality and her compassion that she conveyed to my dad. I wish there were more people in the world like Missy cause heaven knows we're lacking them right now. Thank you Missy.!!

We are always so inspired here! We very nearly named our daughter (expecting soon) Harper to honor this wonderful house and its history (we aren't, but maybe our next one). We look forward to the clean rooms, and of course the scrumptious breakfast! The owners/caretakers are fabulous hosts. Sitting in the tower overlooking the vineyards is an experience like no other. I have the fondest memories here and we plan to return again and again for special occasions.

The owners were very welcoming and accommodated our early arrival, greeting us kindly and making sure we could get settled in right away. The property has a nostalgic, "grandmother's house" feel. We stayed in the Robert Harper Suite, one of three units, which featured a loft that we especially enjoyed. The separate kitchen area was thoughtfully stocked with essentials like a coffee pot and refrigerator, and storage space. The four-seat dining table was a nice touch. Each room includes a hot tub for two, which had plenty of hot water throughout our stay. Breakfast was plentiful and satisfying--an assortment of fruit, pastries, muffins, fresh-baked bread, homemade granola, an fresh omelet for each guest. Sue is a good cook. It was delivered by 7:30 a.m., and guests served themselves. The dining room fits three couples, but guest rooms feature space to eat privately. During our stay, two couples who traveled together ate together, while we enjoyed breakfast privately in our suite. Housekeeping was attentive as our room was refreshed with clean towels and trash removal daily, even without requesting it. Small details stood out, like many nightlights placed in hallways and stairwells--especially helpful when going up to the loft. Many Grandma's heritage antiques, flowers and crafts of a gone by era are spread throughout the property. Only one downside; temperature control. The house was set on air conditioning, and while the days were pleasant, the evenings turned chilly (dropping below 40°F), and then it rained, bringing even more cool. The in-room fireplace heater wouldn't turn on, and unlike a hotel, the thermostat can't be adjusted per room. While we made do by layering with sweaters and pants, and using all the blanket bedding, it was chilly. It's something to keep in mind when visiting in changing to cooler Fall weather. Overall, the Polly Harper Inn offered a cozy, accommodating stay with lots of thoughtful touches. We especially appreciated the charm of the property, the attentive hosts, and the comfort of our suite. It was also quiet as we didn't hear the other guests very often. We'd stay again and thank you for the nice visit. Recommend checking them out is they are very competitive with a regular hotel room and you get so much more for your money

The terraces were lovely -Loved the on site restaurant being so easy to access -Towels/washcloths were plentiful and comfy Cons: -Room has a definite musty smell from water damage somewhere. All of my stuff smells musty after the visit -Hot water in a room for 4 people ran out after 2, and was luke warm for the first two. Shower head is cheap and atrocious -Breakfast order was wrong every morning despite filing out the google form as clearly as possible. The form needs revamped to be specific for each guest as existing form was clearly confusing for the kitchen / kitchen does not know how to follow instructions. We had a clear allergy that was disregarded and mixed in with the gluten free guest resulting in frustration and allergen exposure -Restaurant was good but over priced for the quality/type of food. For what we spent, a bread appetizer should be complimentary. Server was nice but hard to get her to stop at our table. $100 pre tip is a lot for a bowl of pasta, a steak, a beer, a glass of wine and some fries. -Why is it so hard to get bottled water? Requests with our breakfast were ignored, and I ended up going to get a pitcher of water from the restaurant

There is also a lovely little electric sauna which did the job. Be aware there are not full amenities here such as showers or other bath items, but there is a sauna shower where you can get a spritz. There is wine, champagne and cheese/charcuterie boards for purchase, and complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and orange peel infused water. Taryn the spa manager was welcoming and friendly. Weekday pricing was very reasonable. My only gripe was the peculiar sitting area, with a motley crew of decor. But that's a minor oversight for what was otherwise a perfect day. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Geneva on the lake.

It was our first visit to the winery, and ended up being the best meal of our entire trip. I rave about it to everyone. The inn and restaurant are absolutely gorgeous--thoughtfully designed, warm, and elegant--and the entire property truly stands out in the Grand River Valley. The setting is stunning: a unique lakefront location with peaceful views that feel more like a boutique estate than a typical winery. Even in winter, the atmosphere was serene and inviting. What really impressed us, though, was the pride the staff takes in the place. We were given a full tour of the property, and it was clear how dedicated and invested they are in ensuring Vincent William Winery succeeds. That level of care shows in every detail. As for the food--wow. Every dish we ordered was outstanding, from the warm, crusty bread with baked brie and preserves to the vibrant house meatballs and beautifully prepared entrées. The pasta was rich and comforting, and the pork chop was perfectly cooked with hearty, flavorful sides. Presentation was as thoughtful as the flavors. The cocktails were equally impressive. The Old Fashioned was balanced, smooth, and among the best I've had at a winery. Their wines were excellent as well, and I cannot wait until they launch a wine club--I'd be ready to sign up. The chef's classes also sound fantastic and would be a no-brainer for us if we lived locally. Truly, we have zero criticisms. Prices felt quite fair for the quality and experience. The property is exceptional, and the staff offers the kind of genuine hospitality that's increasingly rare. Vincent William Winery is a unique lakefront gem, and every time we're in Greater Cleveland, we'll make it a point to return.

There is a park right next door too for additional parking. The grounds are still being worked on as it is still springtime and I definitely need to come back during the summer season and when the weather isn't so dreary in northeast Ohio. We asked to sit at a table by the window but were told we couldn't sit there, mind you it was not busy at all and no one sat at that table the entire time we were there so I wasn't very happy with the staff. We ended up eating at the bar since we could still somewhat see the water that way. The food and drinks were absolutely phenomenal so that and the ambiance is the only reason I would consider coming back as the staff really ruined the experience for me. Glad I didn't book an overnight stay for that reason alone. Moscato Cabernet Sauvignon Lavender Margarita Honey Whipped Ricotta Dip Wagyu Burger

As of Sunday, it had not been repaired & Brenda at no point came to check on the situation herself -sheets stained -hair throughout shower on check in -no trash cans on the beach -Overflowing trash cans on the street -Playground equipment removed, leaving hazardous holes in several places where they were not properly filled -My parents bathroom door handle broke, locking her in the bathroom in the middle of the night for quite some time. My brother & father to fixed it, as everyone was on eggshells with Brenda -Slander. My uncle asked Brenda for the owners contact info, she started yelling at him, told him he 30 minutes to get off the premises or she was calling the cops. He opted to wait for the officer, along with no less than 20 friends & family who were witness to Brenda's irrational behavior that day, as well as throughout the week to him & others. However, the officer came & told my uncle it was Brenda's right to have him removed, stating Brenda sited my uncle was aggressive. What a joke. I heard from first time guests that when she didn't answer the number listed on the office door while they were trying to check in, they went to the beach to kill time & she promptly chased them down & approached them with such hostility they barely had a chance to tell her they were guests. Way to make a first impression. The VP was responding & defending the actions of this awful woman & turning the actions around onto the guests that have been loyal returning guests for years on another review site, until suddenly their whole listing "disappeared". I can't help but wonder if Ryan(the VP) has met this woman & if he actually wants to run a profitable business. If they really do plan on building a Bar & Grill on site as she has said, I hope they have a better business plan than running off return customers.
