To start, do not ever go here. Do not think about going here, dont dven think about it.
to give backing to that statement, lemme give you some context.
I came here as part of a meetup of a queer mental health group that i do. That grouo has many people (including myself) who get overwhelmed/overloaded by noise very easily,so the person who organised the meetup requested a quiet table (this was booked at least a month in advance by the way). Also, we were goven a set menu for the festive season to choose from weeks in advance because again, many people in the group (including myself) find it hard to choose from a large menu in a short span of time, and also (this will be relevent later) react negatively to changes in things that jave been planned for weeks.
Two days before the meetup, the restaursnt emailed saying "yoy cant have the festive menu anymore (didnt say why), you have to pick from thr normal menu". Now, considering what ive said wbout the people i the group, this obviously made us react negatively, but thankfully no one decided to not come.
On the day of the meetup, when we got to the restaurant (keeping in mind that weeks before we had asked for a quiet table), we were placed in a small side room, next to a table of roughly 20 "lads" (also known as The Boys [tm], bovmen, The Guys [tm], etc etc) who were all screaming at the very top of their lungs at each other. To try and diatract outselvez from them, we all ordered drinks. I asked for a j2o, one other person asked for an appletiser, and someone else asked for a sprite. The other 5 people all got cokes. All of those drinks see, fairly common, correct? Seems like a large restaurant/pub would have yhem, correct? Guess what. They had no j2os, no appletisers, amd 1 sprite (which someone at a diff table had already ordered). The other people all got their cokes just fine, so me and one other person got cokes aswell, and the third person got a blackcurrant capri sun.
Then, we were mpved to a much quieter (but still loud) table, and we started to wait for our food. Turns out (also, lots of the people in the group dont eat meat, and three of us (including me) ordered tofu burgers two days in advance)
So, turns out they didnt have any tofu burgers. Wanna know what else they didnt have? Vegan meat substitute burgers.
So, after having to pick my food for the THIRD time (i had fish nd chips, because i do eat fish but not other types of meat), we started talking waiting for our food to arrive AGAIN, and the after a while, the people who didnt order tofu burgers food arrived, (i expected their food to arrive first, bc like i know me and the two others had to order after, so its fair that their food arrived a bit before.).
Then, half an hour-45 mins after (i have really bad time perception , i can only narrow it down because of what someone else in the group said), me and the two others food arrived. My fish and chips came.
Wanna guess how the fish was cooked? It was chewy. Not like slightly chewy, like dried fruit chewy. But like gum chewy, that much. Wanna guess about my chips? A quarter of them were so hard they were inedible (a few of then even sounded like rocks when i tapped them against the plate). All of them were either under salted, or way way too over salted.
After that... wonderful main, pud came.
Me and another person ordered biscoff cookie dough, and a third ordered vegan cookie dough. Turns out, they didnt have biscoff cookie dough. Then, about 10 mins later, they said that they do actually have biscoff cookie dough.
When they actually came, they didnt say which one was the vegan cookie dough (which could make the person who ordered it extremely ill bc theyve been vegan for a long time), and they gave us the wrong cookie dough, and the staff who gave it to us lied to try to convince us it was biscoff dough (they said that the biscoff is "under that", whatever "that" meant).
After that, someone wanted to get hot chocolate, and i had an expresso cpffee. My coffee came just fine, but guess what they didnt have? Hot chocolate.
To summarise about why you shouldnt come here: they will ignore sensory needs clearly stated weeks in advancem they will most likely not have what you order, and the staff might even lie to tell you that you actually got what you ordered. read more
