As a new mom I was sick of never having time to do my hair or having it pulled so I acted out of impulse and purchased a groupon for this salon. I scheduled an appointment with Danielle after seeing the pictures she had posted of her work. First impression, the salon is in a very nice area. The actually location of the salon itself is kind of a bummer because I feel its a hidden gem from people passing by. Honestly, you'd never even know there was a salon there if you weren't specifically looking for it, which is why I give it a 4 out of 5. Anyways, once inside I was greeted by 3 friendly women in the front and offered something to drink right away. The staff all looked very professional and the salon itself was very clean. I waited less than 5 minutes before Danielle came and got me from the front. She was very welcoming and talked to me as if I had been a long time regular of hers. I showed her a picture I had found on the Internet and explained I wanted a drastic change. Took her about 3 minutes to look it over and know exactly what I wanted. I didn't have any color done but as far as a cut and styling I would highly recommend going to Danielle Torrez. Stacie is not only a great stylist, but she's such a kind person. Her calm presence & attentiveness is a bonus. Both my daughter & I get our hair done by her. She genuinely listens to what you want & she goes over it before she starts. Which I truly appreciate, since my 14 year old daughter has had horrible experiences with stylists cutting too much hair. Stacie was very considerate of my daughter's bad haircut experiences, that she gradually cut it and checked with her to make sure it was the length that she wanted. Tina is phenomenal. After looking for a new stylist when I moved from LA and I had already had a stylist screw up my hair in oceanside, ca. I found the loft on Yelp and instagram. The pricing was super reasonable and they offered wine while I was having my hair done. Also, I loved that I could see how each stylist did hair and tina was a great fit for my hair. I am naturally dark brown and my hair always pulls yellow orange. Tina nailed what I was looking for and she was aiming to please, she let me know if there was ever anything that wasn't right or needed to be fixed I could have it fixed right then or make an appointment at my convenience at no charge. I don't know many stylist that take that much pride in their work, but I couldn't be happier I found her. I would give Tina a 4 star times a million! Thank you Tina ! read more

I went here after purchasing a Groupon for highlights and a hair cut. The hair cut was very nice, but the highlights were NOT worth the cost, even with the discount. I even paid extra for an all-over color touchup. I basically walked out looking almost the same as I went in. I really wanted a more dramatic change. My hair looked nice, but for the cost, it wasn't worth it. Also, the Groupon came with a glass of wine, which I had to repeatedly ask for. I was welcomed by the receptionist into the salon. It was huge, gorgeous, and filled with inspirational decor and very clean. She offered the best house coffee and a tiny yummy cupcake. My stylist made me feel comfortable, observed my hair, and also asked the plan of treatment prior to shampoo. Consultations are important prior to receiving treatment for me, and she was able to answer all of my challenging questions and concerns. She made me feel comfortable and ensured we were on the same page. She's very passionate in wanting to help you make the best choice for you. If i don't keep my mane in check, it can start to have what I call the mushroom effect. It starts to burst out at the sides and become a big/puffy in all the wrong ways and so my hair needed help. So I gave her full reign on what to do with my hair! She was so gentle while washing my hair that I could have fell asleep. During the application of my color the owner came around asking the experience and offered a beverage which was very delightful. (Side note: they provide wifi passcode). I have had traumatizing visits to salons due to the fact that no one can seem to know how to cut my hair correctly or even give me that sexy simple style that makes my hair bounce! My experience with Erlinda Jones left me feeling confident, sexy, and more educated about hair in general. I did cry happy tears and I believe I finally found my hairstylist after 32 years !
