It's a blue collar bar for sure, a mix of people my age and older people. The bartenders are exceptionally pleasant and the regulars have all been nice so far. The bar is L-shaped and located immediately inside the door, there is a large seating area to the left of the bar. On a recent visit, my brother and I were mistaken for traveling musicians by an older guy to the left of us. We still have no idea what gave him that impression. :) As decent and friendly as this place turned out to be, it's not for hipsters or the casual drinker. This is the kind of place where alcoholics and alcoholics in training go to spend their evenings getting their daily medication. Trivia fact: Ranch House is the oldest bar in Eastern Jackson County. It has been in continuous operation for about 55-60 years, possibly longer. The building is probably much older than that.
