We came here for sea glass picking but there aren't any to pick. So we stopped by this restaurant, really busy here, they mainly do takeouts and there are tons of patio spaces for you to sit. We ordered the whole lobsters, they have 1.25lb, 1.5lb and 2lb to choose from, 2lb all ran out, so we picked 1.5lb. You will see live lobsters in the tank beside the cashier. Lobsters are so fresh, have lots of lots of roes no joke, mostly located in the head and some in the body. Highly recommend this place!

Enjoying some awesome fresh seafood, right by the source.

When I saw this Yelp listing, I immediately discounted it. What a cheesy name. Luckily I stumbled across it along the way and gave it a try. What a pleasant surprise! No service per se, but great fresh seafood for cheap, and an unbeatable setting overlooking Colville Bay and the North Atlantic. Note to self: don't be so quick to judge by name alone.

The BEST place for lobster rolls on the island. Everyone I know who has tried one agrees wholeheartedly. The portion size is great and the lobster is, well, delicious. The lobster roll platter, which costs about $13 (I think), comes with a lobster roll, chips and pickles. I had it for lunch and I was still full when dinner came around... Although the restaurant does not have too many options, what they do offer is delicious. I recommend simply taking a look at the menu beforehand so you know what to expect. In addition, the outdoor seating is accompanied by a breathtaking view of the water, and there is an ice cream shop right next door (because who can say no to ice cream???). If I have one recommendation for those going to PEI, its go to the Lobster Shack as soon as you can and as often as you can :)

Found this place through my google searches and it happened to be near the place we were staying in Fortune Bay. However it was closed that day so we had to stop in the next day. This was the first lobster roll that we had on the east coast as it was the beginning of our trip. Large chunks of lobster and there was no other celery or other stuff that was added-just lobster! It was really good - could have had a bit more flavour as some bits seemed a bit bland but the lobster was fresh! Definitely a must try if you are in the area. If you had your own kitchen or a place to eat, get their steamed lobsters as the prices were very reasonable!

What a gem! We picked up some lobsters that had already been cooked and brought them home to enjoy. The prices were very reasonable and the lobsters were fresh and delicious. They also had excellent local oysters that were also perfect. Highly recommend picking up your lobster and oysters here while you are in the Area.

This is one of the best spots on the island for a casual meal. Your choices are simple: - lobster roll platter ($12.95) which comes with potato chips, and pickles. This was delicious and came with nice big chunks of lobster. One of the best lobster rolls and the best price we saw on our trip. - lobster platter, you choose the weight. I chose the 1lb, $14.95, which comes with butter and a bun. The lobster is cold but still just as tasty. - Oysters from Colville. 6 for $10. They also sell take out for different prices for the lobster. Friendly, fast service and free wifi. Bonus: You've got seating just steps away from the sea.

I stopped in here for dinner and ordered the lobster roll and half dozen oysters. The oysters were shucked practically before I paid for my meal and came with more sauces than I knew what to do with. The lobster roll was really tasty with large chunks of meat that wasn't overly dressed. The potato chips and slices of pickle were a nice accompaniment. There was a great view from the picnic tables and I was able to sit there with my dogs.

Their cooked lobster is very very fresh and oyster is amazing. The steamed clams tasted good but a little sandy.

When we arrived, the line was already 20 people deep. We joined in, and to our surprise, it moved pretty quickly. We ordered four lobster rolls and grabbed a seat outside in the blustery wind. In the back of my mind I was thinking, this better be worth it. Then our buzzer went off. When I picked up our lunch and saw the sheer amount of lobster they give you, my first thought was: hell yes, this is worth it. Even sitting outside in the wind and drizzle couldn't take away from what was about to be one of the best meals I've ever had. I've never seen a sandwich packed with this much lobster before. Most restaurants give you a few chunks mixed with filler, but not at Richard's. These rolls were overflowing with big, juicy pieces and just the right amount of mayo. The bun was buttered and toasted to perfection. Honestly, this was probably one of the best sandwiches I've had in my life. If you're anywhere near PEI, do yourself a favor and go to Richard's--you won't regret it.

I got the lobster roll and it was delicious. Great amount of lobster spilling over a roll and a side of chips also. Would definitely recommend. Plenty of outdoor seating, or even go to the nearby beach by the bridge to enjoy your meal! Although FYI, if you buy any beer, you have to stay on the patio attached to the store.

My wife and I were luckily able to get a spot in Townhouse while in the 'Nish despite our lack of a…read morereservation, thanks to the poor weather and coming in at old people, early bird-esque hours. On the upside, we were there for a good stretch of happy hour! The space is cozy, with a pub-like feel from the bar counter you can sit at, as well as a stunning main bar with lovingly detailed, darkly-stained wood. Dark wainscoting rings the room, but the charm of its previous tenants fades away from there, with a generic tile floor and basic acoustic tile ceiling. We indulged in both the liquid and solid offerings on the happy hour menu, with the salt cod fritters ($9) a couple bucks under the regular menu price. Being in town to try things out and not just go for the cheapest items, we ordered from the whole menu, tacking on the beet salad and burrata toast. We decided we'd re-assess our appetites after those three apps. The beet salad ($10) was a colourful display of Nova Scotia's late harvest season, with beautiful, thin slices of purple, pink and golden beets. The kaleidoscope of root vegetables was topped with dots of whipped ricotta, blue cheese, popcorn and pea shoots. Delicate and lightly tart, with contrasting textures of the salty and smooth whipped ricotta and the airy crunch of the popcorn added dimensionality to the dish. Also, it's impossible to go wrong with pea shoots in my books! As my wife isn't a big seafood fan, I had most of the salt cod fritters to myself, and I wasn't complaining. An herby, crisp exterior encased a pleasantly doughy and lightly fishy interior, which was amped up by the fantastic sun-dried tomato and chili oil. The burrata toast ($14) didn't have a whole, massive blob of Italian cheesy goodness, but I should have guessed that would be the case given the price. A guy can dream, right? Crisp buttery focaccia held up well to its caprese-like toppings - roasted tomatoes, pesto and, of course, a slathering of creamy burrata. Bee pollen was noted on the menu and visible on the toast, but didn't register amongst the other flavours. After three very good starters, we decided that we had room for one main between the two of us, and landed on the ricotta gnocchi ($27). I was pleasantly surprised when the plate was put before us, and I saw that the fluffy bundles of carbs and cheese were pan fried, lending a light crispness and more flavour. Most gnocchi dishes aren't too meaty, but Townhouse had a decent portion of bresaola (dry-cured beef) and guanciale (cured pork cheek), letting the thinly-sliced, but big flavours, of the Italian cured meats punch above their weight. Pesto and pea shoots reappeared to bring some vegetal balance to the dish, and a salty hit of Pecorino-Romano rounded things out nicely. Not to be outdone by the savoury parts of the menu, Townhouse's desserts are far from an afterthought. The sticky toffee ($13) was wildly decadent, with the lightly spiced sponge cake begging to sop up the heavenly caramel cream sauce and French vanilla ice cream. Although they could stand to invest in their interior design, Townhouse's kitchen speaks for itself and the well-deserved accolades it has received. A definite 'must' when in Antigonish!

We thought it'll be an A-pk bar food but we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and the flavors in these dishes! We started with a creative scallops croquettes on a Fuccacia bread, so rich in amazing flavors! The wedge salad was fresh and had a good quality blue cheese on with excellent pieces of bacon. The chicken Karrage with lettuce wraps and couscous salmon were both devine! Had a great chat with the owner and she ensured we ´re enjoying our food and ensured that they do their best to get local products. The Ambiance was great with candles everywhere and service was good too especially the place was completely fully booked. Highly recommend!
