Great outdoor patio on the water. Our server was excellent. We had some shrimp and some bbq wings. The wings were just ok but I'm from Buffalo and it is unfair to compare. It is a nice little spot to enjoy drink in a nice environment. read more

The food here was not good. The deck is really nice though. The muscles were not edible. Margarita was disgusting. Fish tacos fine. Fish and chips fine. Crab pretzel lame. Swishy Pants was great. Service fine. read more

Really like this place! The environment is fantastic, rain or shine. I caught the first thunderstorm at the end of the summer. Very few were around, I imagine this would be very busy if the weather is fair. Had the butter garlic steamed shrimp - was fantastic: they did not over cook and it wasn't salty, because they were fresh so no need to use salt to mask it read more

We visited on a Thursday night with our toddler. The views were incredible, the live music was wonderful, and though it would have been enough we also loved the food. The scallops were incredible, the fish and chips were the highest quality we've found in Dewey with a Dewey Beer Co batter, the salad was very fresh with a blueberry vinaigrette. Everything tasted very fresh and was cooked perfectly, and every ingredient seemed high quality. The service was super friendly, and everyone was so nice to our toddler. Given how busy it was, that felt extra special. read more

Brought my wife a birthday cheesecake with a candle at the bar...very thoughtful. I had the Maryland crab soup which I did not like...it was literally a minestrone type soup with a few pieces of crab. I also had the herb garlic steamed clams, completely flavorless. Wife had a salad with a crab cake on the side, really big salad, crab cake was okay. She also garlic herbed roasted oysters, too much bacon, that's all you could taste. Really nice views, good service. read more

This is the second disappointing experience at this place. We both ordered the crab cakes; they were decent. We sat outside (which was our mistake) since it was extremely windy. A 2 seater opened up inside near the bar when we were halfway thru our meal so I asked if we could be switched. We were told no because of a reservation. We finished our meal and that table was still open; very frustrating! It appears that we could finished our meal (without freezing) at that other table after all. Customer service is definitely lacking here! And the entertainment (cover band) could be better! read more

Our server , Sierra, was amazing. food is great and drinks too! Sierra was friendly and attentive!

Wow, I love this place. The sunset was absolutely beautiful from the restaurant and the atmosphere was so lively. Loved the live band and pier location. The food wasn't bad either. The chicken tenders were super crispy and my friends said the nachos were the best they've ever had (not sure if they're exaggerating but hey it's worth mentioning). If you want a great location, beautiful pictures, fun time and pretty good food-- I would check out the lighthouse if you're in Delaware. It gets pretty packed though so come early. read more

The Lighthouse: Walking in- The atmosphere and the view of the Rehoboth beach bay was unreal. Service- It took a bit longer for the food to get here, but it was worth it and they were very nice and attentive. Meal- The crab cakes were the BEST I've ever had! Eating was like getting a punch of flavor in my mouth, and the corn and potatoes side was also delicious. I would love to come back to the lighthouse and try other dishes which I'm sure are as delicious as the crab cakes. Stop by today if you love crab cakes and a great view! read more

Food was phenomenal. We had perfectly shucked oysters that required no additional mignonette or cocktail sauce. The Street Corn Scallops were delicious. View was perfect. Highly recommend for a sunset dinner. Wine by the bottle was very reasonably priced. Our server Jack was great. I also loved their kids menu. Our daughter loved the sliders. And I appreciate the various side options. Highly recommend. read more

Typical bar on the bay with great views and typical bar fare. Great service for a very crowded atmosphere.

Great food, service was also great, but the staff seemed stretched a little thin in the off season and a wedding was being catered next door. read more

Spent the 4th of July weekend in Dewey Beach and was in need of some good greens. Lighthouse is a new restaurant that just opened on the water, the views are absolutely beautiful and the majority of the restaurant sits outside. Three of us ordered the Cobb salad and all thought it was excellent, the serving size was also massive. Our server was great and gave me a good beer recommendation, definitely will go back to this restaurant on my next trip there! read more

Worst Cobb salad: For $19 I received a plate of cold processed ham, bacon bits, and chicken on top of sparse romaine lettuce. I can get a better salad from Wawa or Royal farms for under $5. Total rip off. read more

Great place to eat. It was beautiful out by the bay at sunset time. The food we got was delicious and served quickly after ordering. We were told the salmon is one of the favorites, and it was definitely one of the best things my boyfriend had to eat while we were on vacation. It was served on top of rice and broccoli, and the seasoning from the salmon went on both making them taste really good. The atmosphere is pretty loud since you're outside and by the bar, so if you are hoping to talk over dinner this may not be the place for you. read more

HUGE shout out to Taylor Knox, he played live music the night we went and he was unreal!! Honestly some of the best live music we've heard in a long time and made the night! Food was great, staff was so sweet and helpful. Accommodated everything we needed. They were very responsive. The crab cake sandwich was delicious - all crab! The tuna wrap was delicious. Ask for a side of sriracha aioli on the side. It gave a nice little spice. read more

This restaurant just recently opened, after a fire destroyed the restaurant previously in its place. I was surprised to see it had never been reviewed, given how wonderful our experience here was! We ate dinner here our last night staying in Dewey. The location is beautiful: behind the Hyatt hotel, on a pier overlooking the bay. At sunset, it's just gorgeous. The place was quite packed when we went, and we had to wait a while, typical for restaurants in Dewey in the summer. Our large group had to split up, which we were fine with. The bar was very lively, and there was live music. The seating was mostly outdoors, although the bar was indoors (but open air). In terms of food, the appetizers we ordered were honestly the highlight: the crab pretzel and the Mexican street scallops! Both were super tasty. For my main, I had the crab cake sandwich: good, but not as memorable as the starters. My family got the cobb salad, the burger, and the chicken sandwich, of which, the chicken sandwich was probably the least favorite, but everything was good. The menu is pretty varied, and has some nice looking, interesting options: it's more elevated than the typical "bar and grille" style restaurant that you find all over Dewey, but it also has those standard, accessible options. Overall, maybe the best food we ate all trip, and certainly the most scenic setting. read more

The food was vey good and the drinks were just as good the wait staff was very friendly

my party of 4 had a 45 minute wait, which wasn't the problem. They only give patrons a 5 minute grace period if you request a table. mind you, the closest thing to do in the town is about 3 blocks away, so you'll be gone about 30 mins regardless. they do not tell you that you only have 5 minutes once they text you. we also were there on time and had to wait 1 minute (literally) before they talked to us, which meant that our table was forfeited. imo, they need to inform patrons of the grace period, especially when the wait is over 30 minutes. read more

Had excellent meals all around. Had the fish and chips which was hot, crispy and very flakey delicious cod. Also had the steamed clams which were great. My friends had crab cakes which they loved. You can't beat the views either. Will be back. read more

Excellent drinks and food with even better service! Our bartender, Chris truly stood out as one of the best bartenders in the area. He was so personable and hilarious. It is evident he is a hard worker and such an asset to the establishment. The margs and queso nachos were delicious as well! The kind of nachos with layered cheese and toppings so it's not only chips on the bottom. Next time we're in town we will go back and hope to have Chris as our bartender. I went to the Lighthouse several times last Summer. This place is disgusting and dirty. You can smell it when you walk in and it's an open air place. If it's remotely busy go ahead and look into the kitchen. If you do you will never eat here again. The food is nothing special anyway... simple Nacho's and some salads. Food service chicken tenders. The table tent for the condiments was even disgusting on the rickety table. Staff was nice. Summer jobs I guess. read more

We were excited to try The Lighthouse last night! However, the views far exceed the food and odd policies. My husband ordered The Cuban sandwich, and requested no mustard on the sandwich. Our server informed us there are absolutely no substitutions or alterations permitted due to everything already being pre-made... WHAT?!? Even THE WORST of the worst fast food restaurants will make special requests to order. After hearing this, I was afraid to order the Cobb Salad because I would request no eggs... so I opted for the Kale Berry Salad instead. I asked for a side of ranch dressing after the salad came out with a completely different dressing than was described on the menu... after a awhile our server said the kitchen lost all their ranch dressing and they are looking for it.... Huh?!?! Our server was very nice and clearly frustrated and embarrassed by the things that were out of his control. There are SO MANY amazing restaurants in Rehoboth and Dewey... if Lighthouse is going to survive, the kitchen is going to need to step up their game. read more

Great views and right on the water. Good beer selection and always cold. Servers are young. The put effort in each of the dozen times we stopped in since August. Cuban with pulled pork is always on target. I love the scallop app (always excellent), but, diver scallops? Really? Don't lie to me, chef. Wings are always great. Fish and chips once had mahi mahi. Not cool. Ask which fish before ordering. Open all year, and that makes us happy! read more

Not bad food, but the servers could not handle the amount of people in the restaurant. We waited about an hour for food, and at that point one of the people in our party did not receive food because they forgot to put in their order. However, the servers and management were very kind and the restaurant is a nice environment. read more

Have to say after loving the setting, seemingly good service and good food...have to rate this place a ZERO! When asking for a drink with their rail vodka, the bartender said "Tito's" and I said ok if that's your rail vodka. The next bartender I ordered from said no, Svedka is our rail vodka. So when we got our check...ONE Tito vodka drink (not a martini) was $12. A rail Svedka was $8....still very expensive even at the beach. But the first bartender blatantly did a bait and switch for the extra $, no doubt thinking we wouldn't notice or call them out. Therefore...highly DO NOT RECOMMEND the Lighthouse. They corrected the bill, but this WAS NOT an honest mistake. read more

Very beautiful restaurant on the water. Interior is very well decorated and the ambiance is nice, bar in the middle, televisions, windows all around showing the water. I ordered the nachos and they were okay 7.5/10. Me and my party were there around 2/3pm and we noticed that every single table was filled- probably 50 people. There was one waiter that was trying his hardest to assist all the tables. The wait for the food was about an hour and with some not getting their food- no fault to the waiter. I would def recc this place if there wasn't so much stress on employees who work here. read more

Giving this restaurant three starts because I have dined here before about two years ago and was satisfied with my experience. However, I was quite upset with my most recent, short-lived visit here. There was a group of 14 of us for my sister's bachelorette party. I had called weeks in advanced and was told that they do not take reservations, but to either come for an early dinner around 5:30, or a late dinner around 8, and to arrive 30 minutes before we'd like to eat. I called again the day of, and they said they would definitely be able to accommodate us. WELL GUESS WHAT HAPPENED. They could accommodate us.....if we waited 2 hours!!!! I almost had to go Karen mode on them! But I didn't. We politely left and went to another restaurant. I was very disappointed because this is a great restaurant with a great view, but they should tell their staff not to be a LIAR and tell people they'll be able to accommodate if they can't actually stand by that. Rating based exclusively on food quality, as our service was great. But after eating freezing cold tuna tacos that seemed to come right out of the fridge, I came on Yelp to see what others are saying. I see someone mentioned that everything is pre-made - my experience confirms that this the case. To be honest it didn't taste bad but at $16 for 2 tacos ($19 with old fries) I think they can afford to cook the tuna fresh. Everything else was mediocre at best. Come for a drink and the view and head over to Woody's to eat some good, freshly cooked food. read more
