I went down to West Marine on South Andrews, a nine mile heavy traffic drive for me and picked up a marine outlet and outlet cover. The next day, my friend, an electrician showed up. Thinking we were all set, had everything we needed and were set to go, I proudly showed him my electrical supply purchases. He immediately gave me a look of disgust and advised me that I had purchased a 50 amp outlet but that what we needed was 30 amp outlet. As a 50 amp had a different plug configuration, it just wouldn't work. Ugh! So I told him I'd run back to West, but he said: "No. Just go to Everglades Electric Supply. They'll have it and at a price half of what it will be at West." As Everglades Electric Supply was much closer I went there and was surprised to find that not only did they what I needed but just about everything else an electrician might need. I was also surprised to find out that they've been here since 1971. For any business to be around that long in ever changing Lauderdale speaks volumes as to how good their operations are. So, to my delight, I not only got exactly what I needed but also at a price I later found to be far less than I would have paid at West.

BUT I had to pay a $150 service fee to have the "free" light installed. Seriously?? The installation would only happen after the review was removed, and not the other way around. What?? And the worst part was their manager Catherine convinced that she was providing the Best Customer Service with an approach like this. Terrible! JUST NOT WORTH IT! Those lights burn out so fast, and they consume major electricity. We live in the Sunshine State, the Solar Lights is the way to go!!! Save your money and the headache of dealing with a company like this. They are great in selling you their expensive products but once the job is completed, don't count on them! Only few months after, the lights were already burned out and of course "those" weren't under any warranty. Their electrical job started to come completely apart from the ground and all the lights stopped working. Left several messages and even sent emails to their website, but couldn't get anyone to assist me. Twice they called me back saying that someone was going to stop by, but it never happened. I had to hire a real electrician and another company to fix their job since they DIDN'T FOLLOW THE LEGAL ELECTRICAL CODES. Extremely disappointing! We are getting a building ready for an inspection and future sale and the AC broke in the middle of a 100 plus degree heat wave. I brought the part in with a bent wheel and they had the part I needed in stock. They were willing to put it on but some of the bolts were rusted on. Instead they worked with me on the price. An hour after arriving back with the part the AC was back up and running. I love supporting family owned businesses like this one. They are knowledgeable, honest, and charge fairly. I purchased four vents for a reasonable price and came back home to install them. I installed the one in the master bedroom and the one in the great room. When I went to install the third one, I realized that one of the flaps was missing it place. I checked the last one I had bought and it was in the same condition. I decided to go back immediately, and when I arrived, the store owner immediately asked me what was wrong. I approached him and showed the problem. At that moment the lady who took care of me when I did the purchased, immediately said that the vent had fallen and that someone had damaged it. I told her that I was the only person in my house and that I hadn't even opened the vent's packaging. The woman started manipulating the vent, trying to bend the sides to fix the problem, to which I replied that I would prefer a new one. The store owner angrily refused. He said he had carefully handed them to me and they were in perfect condition. He said I had taken them out of the box and everything seemed normal. I replied that I had taken one out to check the screws and see if they matched (comparing) the used ones I had brought, which the woman confirmed. The owner started yelling. I told him there was no need for that, and he continued yelling, telling he knew people like me. I replied that he didn't, that he didn't know who I am, and finished by telling him that I am a decent man. At that point, I felt it was appropriate to leave the store to prevent things from escalating. The truth is, I feel I've been scammed. There was no intention of accepting defective parts from the beginning, which violates consumer rights. I definitely cannot recommend them, but this will not go unpunished. I am going to file a complaint with the small business bureau because there is no justification for the kind of treatment I received. It's not about the nearly $70.00 that was stolen, it's about the trust one can have in a business that doesn't provide the support that every consumer is entitled to, not to mention the rudeness with which I was treated.

So the saga continues…read more After posting my review yesterday I received a call from Tiffany. She stated that she didn't understand why I posted a 1 star review because she "did not know we were there yet" which I took as she didn't comprehend why I was dissatisfied with the way she was not taking the initiative to rectify the problem. Keep in mind I had already provided her with pictures of all the missing screws and followed up with an email asking when someone would be out to fix the problem. After explaining to her again I felt she should make an effort to rectify the problem in a more timely manner as opposed to just telling me we're trying to fit you into the schedule, she agreed to send out the installer to finish installing the hardware. She stated he would be on site between 8 and 9 AM today, December 13. I then received a voice message from Allen, the estimator, at 5:02pm saying he wasn't sure the installers would be able to come out in the morning however he would be out to fix the screws sometime between 12 and 2pm. (Apparently if I want to get this done I now have to take the day off of work to be available) I text Allen approximately 8am this morning asking for smaller time frame for his arrival and he stated he would be on-site between 11 and 12. Allen arrived at approximately 11am and needless to say it's safe to say that I should have insisted the installers come to finish putting in the rest of the screws. Not only ate all the swrews on crooked there is still one missing. I'm at a loss for words....
