Poke Nachos

Nice place with a big bar and several TVs. Seating indoors with a second floor and also outdoor dining. Drinks were well made, tasty and reasonably priced. Our server was attentive and friendly. Food was good. The Poke Nachos were very tasty and big enough for 2 people. The JAMBALAYA was tasty and spicy. The shrimp tacos were good and the shrimp were large.

Great service. We were the only patrons in the restaurant for awhile, so we received prompt and efficient service. The ambiance was perfect. We sat at the bar under the trellis styled sky light, which felt bright and airy. We enjoyed our drinks along with the Shrimp Avocado Stack and Oven-roasted garlic parmesan chicken wings.

We had a great experience here at the Library. It had a good ambiance. The food was delicious. The drinks were great as well.

The food was great, the ambiance was nice and the staff was slammed, but still hit every request.

The Library in Collegeville sits on the corner of Main St and First Ave in Collegeville and was the target of our "somewhere different" Lunch today and it had sat on our list of "must try" for far too long. The interior offers a main bar area with some booths and high tops and a separate dining room. All richly decorated in dark hues. The menu has a bit of everything. Sharables, small bites, big bites and handhelds. Our lunch consisted of Poutine, Shnitty (chicken sandwich) and Pork and Provolone sandwich. Both served on fresh ciabatta rolls. House made fries accompanied each and were unique as they weren't quite "chips" but not quite "fries" either. They were well seasoned and tasty. Service was half and half we waited a bit for refills on our waters but the staff was friendly and welcoming. Glad to finially get here and try the place out. Will certainly come back for a cocktail in the "Library" in the future.

Cocktails at The Library

The classic, and only, cocktail bar of Collegeville. I would not recommending ordering off menu, however their listed cocktails are excellent. I'm a huge fan of the lemon drop -esque cocktail (different name on the menu). Drink pictured from original review has sadly been retired, but was my FAVORITE as a student at the local college - The Raspberry Moscow Mule

My friend girl chose this place to fine and it was nice. The service was really good. We had our choice of places to sit and there were plenty. The hotness gave us a tour. We chose the outdoor seating which was nice. The food was good and drinks as well. Loved the ambiance and vibe. I'm sure it would be fantastic for large parties.

Food, drinks and atmosphere were a 10 out of 10. They had great music playing and everyone was very friendly.

Amazing food, really cool and fun vibes. Cute upstairs area with big windows. live music on a Friday night. Really great service and the food was really good! I recommend making reservations because it was a full house so I don't think you'd fare well without them on a weeknight. I would love to come back and try more options.

Absolutely delicious food and adorable atmosphere! Both outside and inside is a great option. On certain nights they have live music.we got various appetizers (crab dip, oysters, pretzels, and fig pizza) which were all delicious!

We came in for an early dinner when the restaurant wasn't super busy so getting seated was a bit confusing as there didn't seem to be a host. There was an array of seating options including high top tables and the bar, a setbof sofas in a library nook type area, and a restaurant separate from thise two areas. Once seated in the restaurant area, we decided on an appetizer (the arancini) and our meals (the shrimp tacos for me and the library chicken for my husband). Presentation on the food was worth noting, especially for it being a more casual restaurant, and the food was overall very good. I definitely recommend the arancini. It was just enough to share between two people and the sauce made me regret not trying their chicken parm. I don't know that I would order the shrimp tacos again as they just weren't super exciting, but the library chicken was very good. All in all I anticipate finding my way back to at least try one or two of their cocktails.

I was not a fan of the menu here. Almost everything has pork in it, so if you're a fan of that, you might like this more than we did. We came because of their online menu, which is nothing at all like what is on the actual menu. In fact, it seems to be the menu of their other restaurant in Chadds Ford, Antica. So we might try that one next time. All of us were disappointed at the menu we found here. The waiter came by about 3 times to take our order, and it did take us a long time to decide. Not because we were excited about the choices and were having trouble choosing, but just the opposite, we were not happy with the choices as we expected what my friend saw on the online menu. None of those were on this menu. I preferred a salad, but none of their salad choices were appealing with several items in them I didn't want. I would've had to ask for too many changes, so I opted for the fish tacos, which were quite bland. The fish had no seasoning and the sauce was just thrown on top. I guess they thought that was enough. It had no flavor and I would not get it again. In fact, personally, I would not come back to this restaurant again. It's just not my kind of menu. My friends liked their dishes a little more than me. One got the short rib dish and cleaned his plate, although the dish needed something like rice or noodles or potatoes, something to use to sop up the sauce. It came with a potato pancake, but the potato pancakes were also unusual. They're more like mashed potatoes with cheese, formed into a patty shape. They were tasty, but had no crisp to them on the outside and were very thick. The other got "Risotto" Primavera with a side dish of the potato pancakes. I personally have a pet peeve when a restaurant calls a rice dish "risotto." It was not risotto, and was a surprise made with tomato sauce. It was not at all creamy, was red and had way too many green beans in it, which she left in a pile on the plate. She also said she would not get that again and found the vegetables used in it an odd choice, with few of any others except the green beans (one piece of artichoke). The area that used to be a dance floor when this place was DaVinci's has been turned into a nice looking library area, which seemed like a cozy place to have some drinks, and they have a small but nice looking deck. But it's overly dark, with a menu that didn't appeal to any of us, and unfortunately, I don't think any of us are going back again.

Large handsome restaurant with several rooms, including a huge bar. The menu covers many bases with salads, sandwiches, mains. The food was decent. The Buffalo chicken wings were tasty, with just the right amount of heat. The salmon on my son's salad was perfectly prepared. Husband's fish was good. Not so great - my salad. It was not chopped as it was supposed to be and looked kind of sad. Although my son's salmon was good, the spinach and pear salad was a minuscule portion. This probably the loudest restaurant I have been to, plus service was spotty. Despite its flaws, the restaurant has potential. The Library is fairly new so I hope the owners can work on some things and improve.

Good food. Nice Ambience. Service was a bit slow. They were ironing out the kinks after opening so gave them 4 stars.

Everything was great from the atmosphere, food, service, and prices. We went for their half off wings. The wings were delicious! Fried perfectly and juicy inside with a great honey Sriracha sauce. A very underrated item is their delicious fries. They have a great selection of house drafts and specials every day for both happy hour and daily specials. I will definitely be returning for more of their specials. I have my eye on their burgers!

However the restaurant is tucked away on the second floor of a shopping center, and the seating is not ideal. The acoustics made it difficult to hear the server and my dinner companions, and this was before the live music began (which was setting up in the dining area as we ate). I was pleasantly surprised by the food, and everyone seemed cheerful and welcoming. But the restaurant was too chaotic to have any semblance of a meaningful conversation. I had to shout across the table to be heard. I may come back to enjoy a beverage and listen to a band, but I would never bring a date to this location if I had any expectation of enjoying each other's company. And that's really a shame: the food and location are excellent.

Eagleville Tap offers high tops and a full bar upon entry with a full separate quieter dining room in the back. Plenty of TVs going to keep up with the March Madness. Our server took great care of us and made sure everything was just as we wanted it. The rib sandwich was definitely something a little different - think of a McRib but real meat and flavor. Would definitely return and encourage others to stop in.

The bar was very busy with lots of game watchers viewing the many large screen TVs. But we still had excellent service by the bartender and our wait person. The bar was cozy and friendly and the music was fantastic! But what surprised me most was the quality of the food! We ordered roast pork sliders and Brussel sprouts. Plus, my husband ordered the ahi tuna bites, which I thought was a risky choice at a local Taphouse. All of the food was super fresh and very high quality. The roast pork was lean and juicy - not at all salty or over seasoned. It was served with crispy home-cooked potato chips. The Brussel sprouts were deliciously charred. Best of all was the ahi tuna which was fresh and delightfully presented on crispy tortillas with tasty red peppers. Our wait person told us that everything on the menu is prepared fresh in-house. And it was all delicious. I hope I get a chance to return soon to try some additional menu items at the Eagleville Taphouse.
