Because of a mix-up at work, we arrived about an hour late. It was clear that almost everyone was done eating or at least finishing. However, the food at the buffet was still hot and fresh. There weren't any apparently available seats at the set tables (it was hard to tell where people were sitting) so we ended up sitting at an unset table right next to the set tables. I was a little surprised that none of the servers seemed to notice that we had sat down and were eating but were missing many of the things from the regular settings. No one asked if we needed water or coffee, and we were completely skipped over when they served cake. In all fairness though, we did arrive an hour late and, with people mingling, it would be hard to know whether we had just arrived or whether we had simply moved from our table to chat with others. That single complaint aside, the food was good, the space was lovely, and the family members who organized the shower had nothing but good things to say about having had it here. (In fact, they had switched from another venue to this one.) I'm a firm believer in reviews that give you the big picture experience. And that I think that experience here is 5 stars. So if you're out in the OP area, consider checking out La Galleria.

She was always there to guide and inform us - certainly trying during the Pandemic when the rules of gathering fluctuated daily! Upon arriving at the site on the big day, I found Jeni pinning up the hem of one of the bridesmaid's dresses! Talk about above and beyond the call of duty! Just amazing and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Jeni and her staff are warm and knowledgeable. Such a great group of people and perfect place for a wedding.

There is a lot of space to have tables set whichever way you want and the tables and chairs are nice looking and comfortable. There are a wide variety of menu options to choose from including some things that aren't on a typical banquet menu (like chicken souvkaki). Service from both the day of servers and the banquet coordinators is fantastic. Very communicative and friendly. One down side is that while there are signs by the various rooms for what the event is, I wish there was someone directing people when you first walk in, especially if there are several events going on. But overall, a great place to host or attend events.

Our Society rented space from this club for the past 3 years. Until now, we had been satisfied…read moreusing this space to hold our Annual Plant Sale. We never needed a contract and squared up with the Manager Nick T. Prior to using the space. We have always rented the space for the same time duration. This year the Italian club decided to stock and man the bar in the room. We usually use it to hold our lunch pizza or sandwiches but we were told "No" because it was a bar. We did not ask for this. Out Sale goes from 10 am to 2 pm. Our customers as well as ourselves don't attend this event to drink. They made NO money. Maybe that's why the next thing happened.... 3 of our women who handled the check out for the sale were the last to leave after we cleaned up the space. They were accosted at the door as they were leaving. The Manager Nick chased after shaking them down for more money for the space stating " we went 2 hours over the agreed time according to the contract and wanted another $150 or he would call the Police. ". These poor ladies felt threatened and intimidated but asked to see the contract since the person in charge of renting from our organization had already left. Well it was a gentlemens agreement with no contract, but nonetheless the Manager went and typed up a contract and demanded they sign it or Police would be involved. Our representative didn't want any trouble, signed and wrote a check out for another $150. We will NEVER go back to this club and from this day forward will always do a contract. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TREATMENT

This venue is deceptive from the outside; it is much more spacious than you would imagine! The large room can hold nearly 300 people and the smaller room about half that number. I was impressed that the cost of rental included all of the set up/take down for tables (round or rectangle, your choice) and chairs; unlike our venue of last year. We were allowed early access and had the entire day to set the room for Trivia, the raffle and dinner. The kitchen is spacious, well appointed and clean! Grace, the manager, was beyond helpful! She loaned us a number of dishes, put flowers on the tables, made the coffee and even helped advertise the event to their regular BINGO people! I could see this Club as a place for weddings, with it's lovely wooden bar, large rooms and parking lot, and grove at the back. The Lake Erie Italian Club is a gem....and so is Grace!

The food, drinks, and dessert were all fresh and delicious. I had the Norwegian Salmon and a glass of Col Taylor (Bourbon). Paired wonderfully. My wife had the prime rib with a glass of Jingle Juice. She loved them. The service was top tier and consistent. I thoroughly enjoyed small talk with the staff in between meals. Overall my wife and I love this restaurant. It has become my favorite place. I had a very disappointing experience with Jay's White Elephant. The owner quoted my family $1,400…read moremultiple times over the phone prior to our event, and several people clearly heard and confirmed that price. However, after my brother's Sweet 16, the total was suddenly increased to $2,200 with no clear explanation. When questioned, the owner denied ever agreeing to the original price, despite multiple witnesses and repeated conversations confirming it. There were also several other inconsistencies leading up to the event. Initially, the owner told my mother that decoration would be handled and specifically instructed her not to bring anything like balloons. Closer to the event, that changed, and we were then told that no decorations would be provided at all. What made the situation even more frustrating was that only about half of our expected guests attended, meaning less work and fewer resources were needed. Despite this, the price was still significantly increased. My mother even attempted to pay in advance to avoid any confusion, but the owner declined at the time, only to later raise the price. The way this situation was handled caused significant stress and ultimately left my mother in tears and my brother very upset on what was supposed to be a special celebration. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this venue and would encourage others to look elsewhere. I would give this zero stars if I could
