I had been to the block before about a few years earlier and remember it being lively and fun filled with a handful of food options and a packed bar. This time, the establishment was almost completely empty with only two food options: the barbecue or the pizza. Both menus were extremely limited in terms of available options. I went with the barbecue platter and my boyfriend went with two slices of pepperoni pizza. While the pizza was decent, but nothing to write home about, I would never order that barbecue platter again. First of all, the mac & cheese that it came with was more like overcooked buttered noodles without seasoning. The pulled pork and the coleslaw tasted old as if it had been sitting out at room temp. I also thought it was weird that they gave me potato chips as another side, but to eat their own. The only thing I actually enjoyed were the side of pickles and who knows if those were even made or from a jar. It was cold outside, so we decided to sit under the enclosed portion of the building and flies swarmed us - they were everywhere and we were continuously swatting our hands around to try to get any relief. It was miserable experience and as soon as we were done eating, we just wanted to leave. I can see why people were not here after the disappointment my boyfriend and I felt.

This is a shared outdoor event space with restaurants, bars, and stage for live music. There was a good amount of people there, probably gets busier during events. I asked the bar about the brewery and was told there was currently only one selection from them on tap which was disappointing. It wasn't the most comfortable place to enjoy a beer either. Even if there had been more to experience, I probably wouldn't have bothered going back. One other note, the restrooms are singles and with so many people there was a long wait to use one. I'd imagine that'd be worse when busy.

Dole Whip is a well-known dessert, but in case you've been living under a rock just know it comes from a place known for Aloha and good vibes as well as from The Happiest Place on Earth. With origins like this how can you resist? For some, having a Dole Whip brings back good times, but for everyone, it is a refreshing and delicious way to cool off. Trader Jim's brings this treat to the Bay Area in what might be the cutest way possible - in a customized mobile trailer! Just take a look at photos and you'll know what I mean. This review is mainly for their catering service, which we had booked for our wedding earlier this summer. While there were a lot of things to be indecisive about in the early stages of wedding planning, this was definitely an easy decision for us and we booked early and right away. Like I said, how can you resist the idea of this at an outdoor summer wedding? It's even cool with the vegan crowd! We worked with Lauren for the booking and details and it was a fantastic experience. She was easy to work with and the communication along the way was good and clear. They were very flexible with our timing and schedule needs, which is an extremely valuable thing when it comes the the logistical nightmare that weddings can become. So come the big day, everything went smoothly in terms of them arriving on time and setting up. It looked amazing, tasted heavenly, and they handled the swarm of eager wedding guests with fast but friendly service! We could not have asked for a better finish to our special evening!

On this particular Saturday my friend used his handy dandy Yelp app to find something in Petaluma for some sort of dessert and Trader Jim's popped up as being at the Farmer's Market at Walnut Park on the west side of Petaluma so we decided to go. We started strolling by all the different stands and offerings and then there it was the Trader Jim's Tiki trailer. We couldn't wait to get a taste of their pineapple whip! I had the pineapple float which was the pineapple whip in a cup with pineapple juice. Talk about delicious!!! And the price was right! Don't forget there is no need to travel to Southern California when you have a hankering for that delicious pineapple whip as you need not look any further than your own backyard and Trader Jim's Tiki Trailer. Head to their website and find out when and where they will be next (hint, hint, they frequent The Barlow in Sebastopol quite a bit!).

I'm a big fan of spice, so I had the Mojarra Frita a la Diabla, and my husband went the safe route and ordered the shrimp tacos. The mojarra was fresh, spicy, and delicious! The sauce was a perfect blend of tang and spice. Very nice touch (cure) for the hangover lol The shrimp taco was also a winner. They do not skimp on shrimp. Ofcourse due to the shenanigans of the previous night, we over ordered and also tried the empanadas and the camarones a la cucaracha and oh boy, they did not disappoint! The roach shrimp lol were crispy and decadent. The green salsa the empanadas go with is heavenly spicy. Downside, there was a bit of a wait, but I can't really complain, it's always a good sign when folks are waiting in line at a joint. The attendant recommended I call ahead for next time. I think I may plan a road trip just to come eat here again! Safe travels and happy Eating fellow yelpers! Cheers!

Can be a little spicy for people that have sensitive taste buds though. We also tried some other things off their menu, including the cubano and brisket tacos and everything we had was tender, perfectly cooked and seasoned, and delicious to eat. Even though we were supposed to only have a choice between 4 pre-selected items off their menu, they ended up allowing our team to order whatever they wanted off their full menu, which has a lot of different options. They arrived on time for our event and were quick to get the meals out to everyone. Overall, 5 stars and I would highly recommend booking this food truck for your next event!

The lemonade was definitely not fresh squeezed, filled with ice, and only about 3/4th filled. I apologetically asked if they could fill it up, and joked that my family would blame me for drinking it all before it got it to them. The guy stared at me, said "uh.. fine" and then took my cup and added more ice to it. Whatever. What really upset me though is that they added a tip onto my credit card that I did not aprove. I left them a cash tip, but got home to find they had put $1 tip on my credit card as well. The card app they use breaks down the item, tax, tip.. so I could see it all. I feel like that is super shady & I wonder how many other people they've done it to with higher bills that probably won't notice a small fee snuck into it. Beware. Check your receipts. Shady.
