From the looks of their calendar they travel around quite a bit including a lot of Oakland Athletics baseball games this month. So Oakland VegFest was unusually hot this year compared to last year when it was overcast & a lot cooler. I decided to get the sampler plate for $16. This came w/ Mungo, Adobo, Apritada, & Pansit. They were out of the Apritada which was a popular item so my server suggested I could double up on one of the other three items. Since I didn't know so much about the menu I asked the server for his recommendation. He said I would double up w/ the Mungo & that's what I went with. I went to find a shady spot & enjoyed my food. It was filling, tasty & nourishing. I loved that there was lots of veggies, legumes, & brown rice that seemed like a healthy meal that was flavorful to boot. The Mungo was mung beans boiled in broth then combined w/ sautéed kabocha squash, string beans, & deep fried tofu. The Adobo was soy chicken strips fried to a crisp, combined w/ soft eggplant then cooked in a marinade of soy sauce, vinegar, bay leaves, garlic, salt, & pepper. Pansit was traditional rice noodles cooked in a vegetable broth of soy chicken, cabbage, celery, and carrots, then seasoned with pepper, soy sauce and lemon juice. The Apritada that they sold out of is a stew-like combination of soy chicken, potatoes, red bell peppers, and green peas melted into a tomato based sauce. A friend I was with decided to have a snack of Lumpia spring rolls for $4 for the pair. These were seasoned soy ground beef mixed w/ shredded cabbage, peas, and carrots then rolled in a rice wrapper and deep fried to perfection. Sweet chili sauce was provided for dipping. Our other friend opted to go w/ a Mungo plate for $9. He wasn't keen on the tofu so asked if they could give him extra kabocha squash instead of the tofu. They did & was no worries. All in all No Worries Filipino Vegan Cuisine was quite alright. I look forward to trying them again & especially am curious to try the Apritada that sold out.

Vegan Filipino food is almost an oxymoron…read more Crispy pata (deep fried pork leg), lechon kawali (fried pork belly), sisig (sizzling bits of pig's head), dinuguan (pork blood stew), and kare kare (oxtail and tripe peanut stew)...I can go on and on. Even for breakfast, they have longanisa (sweet pork sausage), tocino (cured pork), and of course, spam....alongside a fried egg and garlic rice. I'm sitting here noshing on some Vanilla Almond Cereal and I'm already getting the meat sweats just thinking about Filipino food. From time-to-time I enjoy eating Filipino food but I end up feeling and looking like Ms. Bibendum (Michelin Man's wifey). Ok, I look that anyways but I think you know where I'm coming from. No worries because No Worries Filipino Vegan Cuisine got your back. This food truck offers all the authentic flavors of Filipino cuisine without the guilt or bloat (no msg). I'm no vegan but this truck got the seal of approval by Yelp Vegan Power Couple (John B. and Rachel C.) so I knew it was legit. We visited their truck yesterday at SoMa StrEat Food Park for Very Vegan Sundays. On the menu was adobo (soy vinegar based stew - $9), apritada (tomato based stew - $9), mungo (mung bean stew - $8), pancit (stir-fried vermicelli noodles - $8), and lumpia (fried egg rolls - $4). With the exception of the pancit and lumpia, orders come with a side of brown rice. Sampler Plate with 1 lumpia was $16. CC's accepted. The mungo is a hearty stew similar to creamy lentil stew with kabocha squash, green beans, and fried tofu. Even better than the rendition I had growing up because I love kabocha. The lumpia was piping hot, crunchy, and meaty (soy ground beef). I would have never known it was vegan if I wasn't told so. Now that's a true testament of solid vegan food. The apritada and adobo (savory and vinegary) tasted like the real deal but personally, I'm not a fan of faux meat that it came with. I just can't get use to the spongy texture. Pancit was a bit bland and could of used more garlic and a sprinkling of scallions for some color. The brown rice was really dry. Filipino food can be intimidating especially since it's really underrepresented outside of Daly City. I think No Worries would be a good introduction for newbie Filipino food eaters...and even for carniwhores like Mr. NSS. The way he was eating the vegan lumpia, it was like he was lustfully devouring a longanisa. Wait that doesn't sound right...

Received a kids patatas bravas (or if it was adult size I'm very disappointed) and a jerk chicken melt. I normally love food trucks but this one missed the mark. The plantain chips were good, although were a little light on seasoning. Edit: upon reflection I'm updating my review and increasing my stars. I do appreciate when an owner takes the time to respond and try to grow and improve. To be clear, my biggest issue was receiving the wrong order that wasn't fixed. My friend at the bar also had poor service from the employee in the truck - her order was also incomplete (missing toppings). The food was good, not great, but again, wasn't what we ordered and should have been fixed.

I've skipped the delicious food trucks on Telegraph for this so figure I will order a quick hot link to tide me over. Quick didn't happen. If M6 had any clue what they were doing, someone would have said "We don't have any hot links ready, it will be 40 minutes, is that okay?" In hindsight, I should have asked for a refund after 10 minutes. So 8:50 I order and I wait. And wait. And still no one is telling me anything. I do see some people get their chicken but no one is talking to me. Oh, someone said it will be another minute but after 20 I see some kids actually bring a tray of uncooked hot links and corn to the grill. Again, should have asked for a refund as I see the rest of our party - tired of waiting - head off. At 9:30 I finally get my link and a halfassed apology. That's it. Not even going to call it a hot link as it wasn't spicy. The flavor was forgettable as I devoured the thing. Ironically before we got to Drake's we talked about people giving bad reviews for service. The tots themselves were cooked perfect, but to be honest I expected the cheese to be melted and the onions to be grilled so they were just ok, and I didn't get any spicy sauce. My friend's jalapeno tots weren't great either, just a scoop of cream cheese on top, not melted at all and just wasn't flavorful at all. When my other friend bit into her burger is was raw in the middle and she just tossed it. No time to go back and complain, so we are just out the money. Just not cool for having waited so long. I would have only given them 1 star except that the guys in the truck were so nice and kept apologizing for the wait and were really trying. We go to the trucks here once a week and were hoping to put them in our rotation, but across the board we all said we won't be back.

Our wedding venue has a list of about a dozen approved caterers, and we went with Sage because it fit our budget--they came in at about half the price of other caterers on the list. So imagine our surprise when we arrived at our tasting a couple of months before the wedding and every dish blew us away with the quality of the ingredients and craft of preparation. Meredith and the Sage team are so thoughtful about producing a menu that takes advantage of the best in-season produce and other high-quality ingredients, and even when cooking for over 180 people everything is prepared to perfection. We really feel like we struck gold working with Sage--many of our foodie-est friends were telling us that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. We also appreciated that Sage was very accommodating for our vegan and gluten free guests, and that their family style options include many dishes that are already vegan/gluten free, ensuring that nobody was short of options for delicious food. Sage also helped us realize our vision for our bar menu, helping provide fresh lime and lemon juice for our signature cocktails and providing skillful bartenders to keep all our guests satisfied. Our day-of catering manager also did a fantastic job making sure we were fed and happy, bringing us appetizers while we were signing our marriage license, checking in with us during dinner to make sure we had everything we needed, and even preparing to-go boxes for us in case we were hungry at the end of the night. The food was excellent, fresh, and creative, and many people have raved to me about the salmon. The experience working with them was also very good - during cocktail hour they made sure my husband and I got appetizers, even bringing us a plate with a couple of each, which was so appreciated. They also did an excellent job with the bar, even figuring out changes on the fly - my dad wanted one of our signature drinks that was grapefruit based, without the grapefruit. They made a lemon version for him in the moment, and then remembered just what to make him each time he came back! We did need to order all the tableware rentals and alcohol ourselves, however Meredith was an excellent partner through the planning process, and guided us really well on what we needed, and how much of everything to get. We picked out the styles we wanted with the rental company and then she worked with our planner and the rental company to handle the order details and quantities of everything, something I wouldn't have known where to start with. They also provided all the fresh juices and garnishes for the bar. Our venue also had tricky drop off and pick up requirements, and she executed all of that seamlessly. The desserts tasted mass-produced and like they'd come out of a freezer. If they ARE made in-house, that would make me sad, because the quality of the ingredients was noticeably low, and choux pastry as that in the cream puffs should never taste that bready and mealy. The servers were mostly polite, although not always very responsive about serving food, but overly aggressive about busing tables. Several women kept bugging us while we were eating to see if we were done with any of our dishes. Honestly, that came across as pushy and a little rude. Let people finish, leave them alone until they're done eating, no one wants their food to get cold(er) while they have to answer to someone who wants to bus the table aggressively every 2-3 minutes! I am posting this review to let others know that this might not be the best catering company for a very large event, since it seems like their more positive reviews are for smaller events, and that might be where they excel!

The bride has celiac disease and they were able to make all gluten free food that was safe from cross contamination. 2. The food was very delicious especially the risotto and braised short ribs. 3. Things primarily ran smoothly on the day. Cons 1. Several months before the event, they were extremely challenging to get a hold of. It took two months of emails and phone calls to get several questions answered. 2. We signed a catering proposal with a certain cost estimate. Three months before the event, they shared that many costs had been left off the original proposal and gave us a new proposal that was thousands of dollars more (this was so close to the wedding we did not have any options regarding finding a different caterer). 3. On the day, they were not ready to serve the drinks at the beginning of the cocktail hour and guests had to wait 10mins before the first guests were able to get their drinks.

Overall, this is a good meal when you're drinking. I would eat here again.
