I've been here a couple of times now, and everything I've had has been memorable, which is not something I say lightly about sandwiches- a category that can betray you! The Ragnar's Club is a stellar concoction of herb roasted chicken breast, bacon, cheese, and apple jalapeño slaw. It's a delicious mess. The kind where things are happening all at once and every single thing is a good idea. Absolutely outstanding. On my most recent visit, I had the Fidel Cashflow, which features some of the most tender, perfectly seasoned pork belly I've had on a sandwich. It's like an Uber Cubano--familiar, comforting, but leveled up with serious execution. Two visits, two excellent sandwiches, which now has me fully convinced that everything on the menu is as good as it looks. I trust them. I would let them choose my sandwich destiny. Service is super friendly. You order at the counter, but you're met with genuine smiles and a helpful, welcoming attitude that makes you feel like you made a very good life choice. Parking isn't the easiest, but you'll figure it out. The space itself is tiny, with just a few tables, so while you can eat there, a lot of people seem to grab it to go--presumably to eat it somewhere quiet and reflect on how good it was. Sandwich shops are a dime a dozen. Really good ones are a special find. This is a really good one. Destination-worthy

First and foremost was the friendliness and efficiency of Jessica. She knows here job well, but she is just nice, something too rare these days. I had Chicken and Waffles for the first time ever, and it far surpassed my expectations. The serving of chicken was a thigh piece that was full of flavor and very moist. My wife loved the Taters as the perfect wake-up dish. The accompanying Bloody Mary also had the perfect zest and flavor. Nice job Skillet. I have already recommended it to our daughter who was there today.

Thankfully our trip thru the TSA lines went quicker than expected so we had some time to get a bite before our flight. Thankfully we came across Skillet near our gate and there was ample space to be seated quickly. The service was okay as they always seemed rushed but it might be a result of the environment being at an airport. However I felt that it didn't detract from the experience because we were seated at a table. If you have time I would recommend getting a table so that you don't get caught up in that rushed feeling at the bar seating. Table seating offered QR code ordering so you can keep at your pace if you don't want to wait for a server to help. The food was absolutely fantastic. I chose "The Scramble" and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The eggs and taters were done right and full of flavor. I only wish they had more hot sauce options for a place that serves eggs and burritos. Sriracha and Tobasco just doesn't cut it to be your only options in my opinion. My partner had the "Bacon Cheddar Breakfast Burrito" with an arugula salad. The burrito was a good but standard breakfast burrito but the salad was actually the star. I know others complain about the price but what you're getting here is more than a simple grab and go that you normally get at the airport. You won't get the standard sit down experience like at a normal restaurant so I feel like it can't be judged the same but I wasn't disappointed. If you're looking for a good meal while still being able to make your flight, I would recommend this place with the right expectations as the pace is quick but the food is still quality.

Initially I was FaceTiming with my daughter in England and the server waited until I off the line to approach and take my order. The Apple Pecan Walnut Salad I ordered came quickly and was just outstanding. I grow most of the vegetables I eat, so I'm usually disappointed in salads I order out. Every ingredient in this salad was perfectly fresh and delicious; I'd say it was probably the best salad I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Back to my server (unfortunately I did not get her name), she discovered that the family who had been at the next table left a backpack behind; she immediately starting trying to find them and was very concerned. When I later checked and found that my gate had been changed to S5 (3 train rides away!), she hustled to get my check, a box (& Fork!) for my salad, and wished me well on my race to the other end of the airport. When I finally got home 7 hours later, I enjoyed the rest of that salad--it was still exceptional!

Obviously, the prices…read moreare higher, but the food quality blows em out of the water and for a quick meal at the airport, this one's a solid option, especially if you're flying Alaska. Shoestring fries are ELITE. Super thin, insane light crunch from the batter, and perfect sodium level. Might be the best I've ever had. Onion rings also have an excellent crust, but the batter isn't quite as secured on the actual onions as I'd like. Burgers are solid, tried the Big Woody and Lil Woody. The beef itself was pretty good with nice char marks as well. Vegetables were fresh, lettuce wasn't bitter. My only complaint is that while the bun is nice and fluffy, wasn't toasted. It's exactly what you want when you picture a burger.

One positive was that the self serve can and bottle beverages even with added tax were slightly less expensive than nearby vending machines. Huge negative was that the kiosk for my single bottle of beverage auto defaulted to add a $3 gratuity, which in my opinion is absurd. I removed the tip, but I can only believe that thousands of guests daily do not notice the greedy additional fees. Saw a person carry a pickup bag onto my flight but I'd double check the receipt details before confirming a payment.
