I've been here a handful of times now, and honestly I frequent this place not because its the best…read moreplace ever but because its soo very convenient. Anybody that knows me knows I hate driving. So what am I to do when all the dancing spots are located deep in Houston. I may have the energy to dance the night away but I definitely don't want to waste my time driving. So Amazonia caters to me by being close and right off I-45 and beltway 8. I tend to arrive to clubs relatively early so I've never encountered an unbearable line or anything like that at this location. It may start at slow but by midnight this place is packed. I should add that the majority of the crowd here is hispanic and that men DO get patted down at the entrance. Additionally theres a strip club right next door so it appears as though they share a good amount of the male clientele. This is not the place I would choose for a single-ladies night out, but if you have a dance partner it's not as likely you'll be bothered. This venue is a split club, and it has two dance floors. The main floor is International night on Saturdays and it has two bars, bathrooms and a VIP section, they play salsa, cambia, merengue, bachata, punta etc. The smaller dance floor claims to play hip-hop, electronic and top 40's but honestly its about 80% reggaeton, 10% trap, and 10% rap from the early 2000's. Theres also bathrooms, another bar and two strip poles and a hoop hanging from the ceiling where girls perform on certain nights. They have some bar stools and couches in both dance areas too. Overall the decor isn't luxurious, and the place is somewhere between clean and dingy. I come back to Amazonia because I come here to dance, not lounge or inspect the decor, so I don't really need more than some good music and a dance floor. One thing that did disappoint me this last visit was that the shots went up in price and are ridiculously small now. I will not be purchasing any shots here anymore, but I'll keep frequently this place when I get my dance fever and don't want to invest much gas or driving time.

As a United States Marine, I'm always looking to connect with individuals who show discipline, work ethic, and potential. Especially those already working demanding roles like security and bouncing. While there, I struck up a respectful conversation with one of the bouncers. The goal wasn't to sell anything or pressure him, but simply to open the door to another opportunity. One that could build on the skills he's already using every day: leadership, physical readiness, decision-making under pressure, and long-term career development. Unfortunately, the conversation was immediately met with hostility. Before I could even properly explain, I was told to leave. What followed went beyond unprofessional. it turned physical. I was forcibly removed and assaulted on the way out. That kind of response says a lot about the environment being fostered here. There's a difference between declining a conversation and resorting to aggression. The lack of professionalism, communication, and basic respect shown by the staff was disappointing, especially from individuals in positions meant to maintain order and safety. It's unfortunate, because the opportunity I was offering could have genuinely benefited someone looking to grow, challenge themselves, and build a stronger future. Not everyone is open to that and that's fine but how you handle that moment matters. I hope management takes a serious look at how their staff engages with people. There's potential in places like this--not just for business, but for the people working there. Right now, it's being overshadowed by poor judgment and unnecessary aggression. Don't get me started with the "professionals" the Harris county Sheriff's or whatever they are , did not uphold the standards as well, while also harassing me and making me feel uncomfortable about the situation when I needed help as an assaulted victim. No wonder their crime rate is at an all time high and they did not look the part to even be officers being over weight . Only one female sheriff demonstrated Professionalism, integrity, and respect but was not able to help in this situation. Overall experience piss pore and unsatisfactory. They should uphold the standards as the keepers of the people's rights. What a disappointment.

This is primarily a latin club, I came out to see Deorro but honestly the vibes were pretty alright! Compared to normal edm clubs like stereo or 9pm, ppl will actually dance with you. Love that parking is free on top of things. If there were more edm events, i'll probably come out more often... but it seems on their website their mainstay is strictly latin music. Til next time

The crowd was pretty light, but sometimes that's exactly the mood--you can actually relax, laugh, and enjoy the people you came with instead of shouting over the music all night. We came prepared with games and finally tried the viral magnet game everyone's been talking about. Let me just say--it 100% lives up to the hype. Easy to learn, surprisingly competitive, and absolutely begging to be turned into a drinking game (future plans unlocked). We also played a few rounds of Phase 10, which turned out to be way more entertaining than expected and kept us posted up for a good while. Of course, we had to grab a few cocktails and some food. The drinks were solid and poured just right. She ordered the buffalo wings with fries--simple, classic, and hit the spot. I went with the Rasta Pasta, which is always a win here. Creamy, flavorful, and consistently good--one of those dishes you order with confidence because you already know what it's giving. All in all, it was a chill, fun Christmas Eve outing. Nothing over the top, just good vibes, games, drinks, and food in a laid-back setting. Sometimes that's all you need--and Euphoria delivered exactly that.

She was accommodating and checked on our table frequently. I also liked the large screen to watch a sports game on the patio. Nevertheless, proceed with caution when you arrive at this location. Anyplace that you got to that wants to pat you down before you enter, should tell you right then what you are about to walk into. I knew then, I should have just turned around. And don't let any online ads fool you, there IS a cover charge to get in and if you don't have cash, they will escort you to the bar to pay your 10 bucks cover via card. But I still couldn't shake off the fact that I had to get patted down to enter. And low and behold...this place was thug paradise. So the dress code for guys are NOT enforced. And what really got my attention was there where actually really nice sexy ladies there, BUT...they where all dancing alone. There is a loud chick with a backpack on stage yelling at everyone to party and like...nobody is paying any attention to her. Somebody please sit her down. This place looks too nice for all that. A hype person is not required in any good club. You will never see nothing like that at Drinks. All you hear is her screaming over the music. Be far warned, they play nothing but HIP HOP. Period. Don't get me wrong...I do like hip hop... but every successful dance club in Houston has played mixed music. Not just hip hop. So with that.. enter a ton of thugs who refuse to asked ladies to dance but rather just stand around the dance floor. So needless to say...when I left the club, I told the bouncer, this place must be a gay club cause I don't understand why all the men where afraid to ask women to dance. I will not return here because I prefer more variety in my night spots. Sad because the place is very very nice inside, but I'm not feeling the pat me down at the door mess. That tells me right there that something is bound to happen in the club or in the parking lot afterwards.

The venue itself was pretty crowded as expected, but the dance floor was a lot less crowded than the areas around it. That is, until line dancing songs came on! They played a good mixture of country music, hip hop music and a random variety of line dance songs (Boot Scoot Boogie, Cupid Shuffle, The Wobble, etc). The music mix was seriously SO HOUSTON that it made the night extra fun! Also, we found out that they do FREE two-stepping lessons at 8pm on Friday nights, so we will definitely be returning with our group of friends for that. Tip: if you plan to go out on the dance floor, you're not allowed to bring your drink out there. Be sure to leave it with a friend or finish it because they're pretty serious about not having drinks out there.

Ladies learned the dance first then it was the boys. Then we all come together and danced. It looked like we weren't the only first timers here. We've learned Poka and barn yard dance. Poka was a lot of turning and that just made me dizzy. Barn yard was so much more fun, it was easy to follow. The drinks were good and we had a good time!
