There is a loud chick with a backpack on stage yelling at everyone to party and like...nobody is paying any attention to her. Somebody please sit her down. This place looks too nice for all that. A hype person is not required in any good club. You will never see nothing like that at Drinks. All you hear is her screaming over the music. Be far warned, they play nothing but HIP HOP. Period. Don't get me wrong...I do like hip hop... but every successful dance club in Houston has played mixed music. Not just hip hop. So with that.. enter a ton of thugs who refuse to asked ladies to dance but rather just stand around the dance floor. So needless to say...when I left the club, I told the bouncer, this place must be a gay club cause I don't understand why all the men where afraid to ask women to dance. I will not return here because I prefer more variety in my night spots. Sad because the place is very very nice inside, but I'm not feeling the pat me down at the door mess. That tells me right there that something is bound to happen in the club or in the parking lot afterwards.

Attended the Tank concert at KoKo's on Saturday, October 8th. Nothing was as advertised in the…read morepromotional materials. First they didnt acknowledge the advertised drink specials, THEN they had $5 'You call its' for about 20-30 minutes. There was a "raffle ticket" for the Victoria Secret bags, when the flyer said the first ones in would get a bag. I never saw a bag, period. We intentionally ate light because there was supposed to be a seafood buffet; there was none. The drink was good, but could only get one at the first bar because the credit card machine was down. I asked for a tequila sunrise, and got a drink with gin....but, it was remade correctly for me. The music was great, but all of the performers before Tank FINALLY came out for his funky ole 15 minutes - were mediocre, at best. The best part was the DJ & MC...they kept the party vibe going. But, then they kept announcing Tank was there, or in the building or the parking lot, but he didn't come out for at least 45 minutes, if not longer...just to sing three songs. We purchased VIP tixs, which were essentially useless, as the ONLY benefit was skipping a line...which was non-existent when we had arrived. There were no reserved seats for VIP, a parking space, nothing. We paid $35 per VIP ticket - when we could have just gone to the door and paid $20. That was wack. We got got by KoKos and promoters. Then, a friend waited all night to get her bottle for her birthday, being celebrated in a reserved section....She never got the bottle she was owed. Additionally, Koko/Boss - change the f'in signs for the club...I'm not from Houston....How am I sposed to know that BOSS Nightclub is freakin' KoKos!?!? I drove past it three times...which caused me to start off the night in irritation. This experience makes it extremely unlikely I would eva EVA return, and will never recommend anyone to go there.

But I get the impression that they will be expanding soon. They do not have a large kitchen, so the "menu" on that front is limited. However, that whole area is surrounded by food trucks from all over. Drinks are good, and standard, and did not detect low shelf quality that was a huge plus as even downtown clubs\lounges I have had issues with that before. I also had Dominican beer yay! Side note, as I read someone else's review. The waitress makes their money off tips and drinks, so yeah I understand how it may be perceived, and no, it's not one of those places lol.
