Classic Bait-and-Switch - Disappointing Customer Service While the actual service I received was good, the pricing and customer service were extremely disappointing. I specifically booked a Senior Stylist through the website at a listed price of $133. After booking, I received a call requiring a $50 deposit, which I paid. During that call, I was also advised to wait until the next day to see the same Senior Stylist I had originally selected. The morning of my appointment, I received a confirmation link that included a vague statement: "If you booked with a senior stylist, you will be subject to an upcharge at checkout." However, no amount was disclosed, which is misleading and unacceptable. At checkout, I was shocked to be charged $150 instead of $133, along with an automatic 20% gratuity ($30)--bringing my total to $180 for a service I expected to cost $133. When I contacted the salon to dispute the charges, communication stopped, and they have refused to refund the $21 overcharge ($17 price difference + $4 additional gratuity). This experience reflects a lack of transparency and poor customer service. Pricing should be clearly disclosed upfront, not revealed after the service is completed. I am simply requesting a $21 refund to correct this issue. Owner requested proof of website discrepancies and they would happily refund my $21 which I did.. now they are not responding. read more

I really wanted to like The Lash Lounge, but after multiple booking mistakes and ongoing communication issues, I can't recommend this place anymore. I'll keep it brief: During my first visit with Angelle, my lashes came out crooked. I gave it another chance, voiced my concerns directly to her at my second appointment, and the same issue happened again, but even worse. They did offer a complimentary service because of this, and I booked with Macy afterward, who did an AMAZING job. If this review were based solely on Macy, (and not front desk scheduling) it would be five stars. Unfortunately, the booking and communication process here is an absolute mess. Every single time I schedule, there is some kind of error- wrong date, wrong time, wrong tech. This is very frustrating too because I would schedule to have my lashes done before an event, such as my birthday, and would be severely disappointed they screwed up the dates and made it just that much more difficult. I've repeatedly requested not to be booked with Angelle due to prior issues, and even the owner assured me this preference was noted. Yet the same mistake kept happening. Please note I only bought the 3 lash package + an extra comped day so only 4 visits total here... Today (12/10) was the final straw. I left a voicemail to change the time and when they called me back to change the time, I was told Macy wasn't even working today- despite the fact that they had just scheduled me with her. They also told me they still had me down for a completely different day in their system. And once again, they attempted to schedule me with Angelle after I had made it crystal clear (multiple times) that I do not want to be booked with her. I went with another tech this time around who I don't know the name of, but lashes weren't as straight as they could've been. Some lashes were pointing in complete opposite directions, but I just gave up and walked out when it was complete since I had to use the rest of my package anyway. She was super nice and really friendly, but Macy was literally perfect when it came to my lashes. It's extremely disorganized, the communication is inconsistent, and the notes on customer profiles are clearly not being checked or respected. Also, be aware: their packages are non-refundable, no matter what issues occur. Left on Saturday April 19 by the 3rd day on the boat my lashes was shedding so bad when I came home on Saturday 26 1 week later I had no lashes left on my left eye my right eye had a few lashes left.I reached out to them sending the proof of my lashes for the owner to tell me that's normal shedding that I can book a 2 weeks fill in for $69.99 that they would put extra lashes in so when they start shedding it want look like how they did the first time.So I would never give my money to this business again. *I have reached out to the company as they mention, they ignore me. So, don't take this attempt at saving the experience seriously* Terrible service, and this location will unscrupulously charge you once they have saved your CC info way back when required at initial booking. I was treated horribly and left with swollen, irritated PAINFUL RED eyes. I took a photo in the waiting room as I complained but was still charged and despite repeated reaching out to customer service, no one offered any sort of fix or compensation whatsoever. I was randomly charged this month (knowing that I would never ever rebook with them after my last experience) and I was told that I was a no-show to an appointment that I never made! They charged me $300 for a service that I never initiated and refused to refund any of it, and even went as far as hanging up on me immediately when they heard my name before I even mentioned the issue. This place is not to be trusted and service itself is TERRIBLE. Sorry girls, but the truth is that this is the absolute worst set of lashes I've ever had. I had them done the day before leaving for a Europe trip hoping to save time on makeup by not doing mascara in the mornings, and after less than a week since my service appointment I have zero lashes remaining on my left eyes and maybe 2-3 on my right. First of all, after making my appointment I was bombarded with texts requesting a deposit (I don't mind doing that for a great service), but in addition there were at least 3 more texts requesting waivers, a ton of unnecessary info, and then still more health background forms to be completed upon arrival. Ladies, it's lashes, not a liver transplan I did my homework and went in prepared with plenty of photos of the style I wanted, and no one said "oh we can't do that here." Although after showing my lash tech lots of photos she was still (worryingly) asking me questions that seemed to indicate she didn't understand what I wanted, which was pretty simple: a cat eye shape, gradually longer and more volume towards the outer corner. This is NOT what I ended up with. My eyes actually appeared rounder than they do WITHOUT lashes and the lashes themselves were super fine & wispy, not very good quality, and the coverage was very thin. There were literally no lashes whatsoever in the outer corners - those areas were left bare. I was clearly pretty unhappy(but still tipped the tech 15% for the use of her time - I actually felt sorry for her. It seemed like she was inexperienced and had no business performing services on customers at this point), and the salon manager tried to help, and offered me an extra service to add more volume the next day. Not exactly convenient the day before I was leaving for my trip but she was trying to fix the situation so I agreed to an appointment the next day. At that appointment there was very little conversation with the new tech and to be honest, the vibe seemed as though she was a bit put out at having to take the appointment. The result was only marginally better than the first appointment (and I still tipped HER 20% for the use of her time since I suspected she wasn't being compensated since I wasn't originally her client) but by then I was fed up. I knew I wouldn't be returning. I've had lash extensions 5-6x and while there is always a little bit of fall-out in the first few days while the lashes settle, I've had sets that have lasted amazingly long, with approximately 75% of the lashes staying on for nearly a month. The Lash Longe set fell off in chunks every day, until less than a week after my appointment, every single lash was gone. This disaster ended up costing me over $200, and I could have Lashify-d myself for about $20 with far better results. Save your money. read more

I was informed that fullset was not free but upgrade to mink was. The manager told me that would not use the coupon and charge full price full set and only reimburse the mink upgrade. It's really unfortunate that this chain doesn't know the value of customer service and thus rakes in bad reviews. I was a first-time lash lift customer. I was happy with the lift when the procedure was over and the woman at the front desk encouraged me to buy a promotional package for future treatments that cost a total of over 200 dollars. Great idea, my lashes looked nice and I enjoyed the experience. I followed the care instructions to a t. I even waited double the time to wash my face -- 48 hours instead of 24 (gross, I know, but I wanted to be extra careful). When I washed my face for the first time, the effect was destroyed. There is, literally, zero curl. I called, sent pictures, all the things. I asked to be refunded for my future package -- NOT for the original service because OF COURSE I want to pay my aesthetician for her time. But management has been unsympathetic, uncommunicative (just some texts - are you serious?!?), and refuses to refund the package. Just such poor business sense to treat new clientele that way. So now they have yet another 1-star review. TBH I saw these reviews before I booked but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt after a local referred me. But I guess that's what these boards are for. Advice to management: Mistakes happen, it's not a big deal. But treat your customers with respect when they do. I strongly advise against using this chain -- not because of my lovely aesthetician but because of the management. My worst experience in NOLA. Total bummer. read more

Every time I go simply because there's not many other places to go, I end up regretting it. They have the audacity to charge $300 for a level three classic. $300 for lashes you can barely see. I pretty much ripped my eyelashes out trying to get them off and that's been several years ago and I swore I would never get eyelash extensions again. Then I came across The Lash Lounge. I made an appointment solely based on its appearance and a few testimonials. It was phenomenal! I can't say enough about this place. The owner, Jamie, spoke to me afterwards about aftercare and etc. all the employees are professional and pleasant. It took about an hour and a half to do the classic and they are so light like they're not there! A touch up is needed about every 3 weeks. They have a big special right now for $99! Ali is amazing and has done a great job on my brows. It's not her I have a problem with. I was on my way to my appointment this morning and I drove into a pothole that I couldn't avoid (New Orleans streets!) and had to cancel and the salon still charged me half price for my missed appointment and told me they had to compensate the stylist for her time. a) I am a regular customer who has never missed an appointment before, the circumstances were beyond my control, and I believe they should have given me one good faith cancellation in order to keep me on as a customer, and b) we all know that money is not going to the stylist. Good thing they're not the only game in town. Now the salon and Ali won't be getting any future tips or compensation from my business and I also will never refer anyone to this salon. The girl gave me a level 1 lash set which extremely thin. I told her to make it full. She provided more fans and said, "I spent 2 hours on it." By the way she did not spend 2 hours because I was a few minutes late and we talked for a few minutes before starting. We started at 12:15 and ended 1:37. Disappointed to write this review - I really wanted to love this place, all the technicians are so kind. Got a full set on Wednesday night and loved them. I woke up on Thursday and a huge chunk had fallen out. I didn't get them wet and it wasn't even on the side I sleep on. I sent a picture and they offered a complementary redo or removal. I wanted to take them up on it, but my schedule was crazy and honestly, by the time I woke up on Saturday (2 days later....), they had almost all fallen out, I have about 5 lashes left on one eye. I have showered once and that's about it since getting the lashes. I even took care to avoid getting my moisturizer near them. At this point I don't need a removal and I (I think understandably?) don't want a redo - they don't appear to stay on my lashes and it's just way too time consuming to get another set that may just fall off. Texted pictures and asked for a partial refund (not even a full refund!) and the answer was no. Something feels really icky about paying $99 for a service that lasted less than a day. I've gotten my brows threaded several times, always the good old-fashioned way: a piece of threading string and the aesthetician plucks away at my thick brows, tearing away the worn out thread with her teeth before retying the next few inches of thread and continuing the cycle. Well...with covid, I decided I'd try something different - this place touted the use of a Helix tool, which holds the thread in between and has to simply be maneuvered over the appropriate hairs to remove them. It's been 2 years since I've gotten my brows threaded so my brows were in need of some tlc. When I was tended to by Ali, she started off with the Helix tool but she used a tweezer 80% of the time. Mind you, I haven't tweezed any hairs or done anything to my brows in 2 years so very few hairs should be short or difficult to thread away. Not only that, she took about 30 min to simply clean up my brows a bit and the shape is virtually nonexistent. She emphasized that to give it more of a shape, I need to lose thickness. Unfortunately, she did not seem to have much patience or a good attitude so I accepted the result and politely concluded the visit. Every aesthetician I've been to has been able to give a well-defined arch to my brows in half the time, keeping a good amount of thickness and while only threading - no help from a tweezer, wax, nothing. Even my friends couldn't hold back from commenting on how poor a job was done (hence 2 stars for brow quality). I came here because this was closer to me. They do get 4 stars for accommodating me on short notice though. This place be may better suited for what they specialize in - lashes. Since I don't have a need for that service, however, I won't be returning to try it out. read more
