This is where the locals eat! This was my first stop when visiting some friends in NC and it definitely gave local diner energy. The food is reasonably priced and my friends said this was their go to local spot. Just don't come and expect 5 star service. With the local vibe, comes more of a relaxed service. I saw a few reviews complain about the wait time, but I think it's because those people came in with the wrong expectations. Back to the food, tho! I got a breakfast sandwich and it was satisfying. Coffee was fresh too! Would I return for the food alone? Probably not just because it wasn't spectacular. I have been to better "local" diners where the bagels were actually toasted and portion sizes are for giants... I guess the locals in North Carolina care more about their cholesterol. Overall 3.5 out of 5.

Quaint little greasy spoon spot we stopped at for breakfast, the menu included all of your southern breakfast staples. The biscuit was especially fresh and all of our dishes came out quick enough and warm. No complaints, but nothing stood out as exceptionally well either. Service was prompt and the dining room had a nice, authentic feel. Plenty of space for large parties, probably a good spot for a bus to stop in or to bring the family in for a meal.

We have lived in Goldsboro since 2004 and today was the first and last time we visited this place. The service was not warm or friendly. Well let me rephrase that. It was not friendly or warm towards us. Our server felt she could carry on conversations with other patrons. We arrived and waited several minutes before the server came to get our drinks. I asked for a large orange juice and was told that I can get an extra large cup and be charged for two smalls. I just asked for the small because I couldn't tell what size large she was referring to at the neighboring table. I ordered a waffle with fruit. Before I ordered I asked if it was fresh fruit, to which she responds yes we get our fruit from the grocery store. Then I asked for strawberries and bananas. Then the server explains that the strawberries are in sugar. I just asked for it on the side because I prefer "fresh" strawberries. I also asked for one egg with sausage because they have a combo for it. I asked if they had sausage patties or links and she said they had both that they get their sausage from Nahunta. When my food comes out, I asked for the toast that I thought came with my combo and the server proceeds to tel me you didn't ask for it, would you like white or wheat ? With a confused look, I said white. I never got my toast. The egg was good, but it was just an egg over medium. The sausage was dry. The waffle was good. I just used the sugared not fresh strawberries as my syrup with the bananas. My husband are all his food and said if it wasn't for the service we would have come back. He had corn beef hash with a western omelette, hash browns and a bagel. After the sever brought out our food she never came back until it was time to leave. I thought this would be a nice change from IHOP or Waffle House. But we get better service at those places. The only good thing about this place was that it had A rating. It's not inviting or warming to go and eat there. I didn't even take a pic of our food, just of the menu.

Pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. Seems to be a popular place to go after church. They serve breakfast all day so I decided to have egg whites, bacon, hashbrowns, toast, a pancake and coffee. The eggs, bacon and coffee were good. The hashbrowns were a lil too greasy for me and the pancake was not as fluffy as I had hoped. I preferred the toast over the pancake. Service was good. Kinda noisy. The layout of the restaurant is a little tight. The prices were good.

My family and I stopped into this hidden eatery after discovering IHOP was packed on Black Friday. We were impressed with the quality of food, prices, and dishes offered. Our server was a sweet girl who answered all our questions ("Does this come with that? Can I substitute this?"). I ordered the crepes (banana and strawberry, covered in whipped cream) and turkey sausage (so juicy!)... my husband ordered the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs, and my mother in law got the flounder, fries, mashed potatoes, corn bread, and coleslaw. All this food, plus coffee, juice, and soda only came to about $19. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in town.

This is not the first time that we go to this wonderful mom-n-pop place. Every time we go, our server, no matter who it is, is very nice. Getting to the food; I had breakfast my wife had lunch. They serve breakfast, and lunch all day, except bake potatoes, which are ready later on in the day. The prices are very reasonable. For breakfast if you ask for link sausage, you better be ready to eat 7 or 8 inches and 1 inch thick. The pancakes are as big as a full size plate. It is very good food at a very reasonable price... oh, and they have military discount. Visit this place and help small businesses.

Good atmosphere. Hidden gem feel. Biscuits are unreal. I'd highly recommend it for breakfast. I need to check out the rest of the menu.
