Came here last night with a girlfriend, and we absolutely loved it! The environment is so cute, warm and welcoming! The service was spectacular and experience overall was wonderful. Our server was Rachel and she was extremely attentive during the entirety of the experience. Rachel helped us with our drink and food selections. We ended up getting the Brussel sprout, appetizer and salmon entrée. Both were delicious and so flavorful! The margarita I got was one of the best margaritas I've ever had. Everything was so fresh, as they don't use nasty artificial sweeteners. The manager came over and checked on us during our experience. We will definitely be back! read more

We arrived promptly at 6:00 for our reservation. The food came out at 7:20. We reminded the server several times that we had 8:00 theater tickets. The steaks were brought out cold. My son's vegan stew was inedible.The cauliflower bites were overbreaded and overcooked. The only thing good about the meal was the fish dip spread. We ate as much as we could before we had to leave. A woman came by to ask how things were. My daughter-in-law told her the steaks were brought out cold. Her only comment was that she knew they had come out hot. I have been here twice, both times as a group of 6 and both times everyone at the table enjoyed what they ordered. The menu has lots of great options however is a little on the pricier side. The inside of the restaurant can get a little hot and stuffy with no fans - last night my group was a little uncomfortable. Service was good and I do recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. I have been wanting to try this place and was not disappointed one bit. We went for lunch with a large group of friends and had the best service and delicious food. Every person who ate here ,there were 15 of us gave praises on the food and service..the place is adorable and you feel right at home...presentation on the food was also wonderful as well.. I believe the server was Karissa...she was fabulous and took care of our large group. I ordered my bottled Aqua Panna water and was very happy it was kept cold on the table.. I ordered something I normally would not order, a Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was served with Fries..I have to tell you it was one of the best I ever had, very large piece of meat and served on a quality Bun. This place failed in every way possible. My girlfriend made reservations for my birthday and we arrived early. We were seated and then greeted by the staff. We got the menus, water, and ordered a bottle of wine. We made our orders and that's when "FAILED" kicked in. Our Saganaki was ordered as an appetizer. Braised Ribs as our main course. We weren't told the Saganaki was burnt until we started to notice other dishes being delivered at other tables and we still didn't have anything on ours. The staff (I'm using staff to avoid making reference identification as the person is male or female so when the owner reads this, he/she will know who that person is and deal with handling any punishment to that staff)apologized and said our dish was burned and the kitchen had to do it over again....we were comped for that dish. However, while we were waiting for the Saganaki, a staff person brought out our main course. We informed that person that we didn't have the appetizer yet, and our main course was returned to the kitchen much to my worry that it was going to SIT in the warming bin. Our Saganaki was served but not before the lemon fell out of the hands of the staff and fell on the floor to be replaced by a new lemon slice....hot and tasty. Main course followed shortly and as I suspected, it sat in a warming bin OR it just sat in the kitchen and it was warm but not hot. I didn't send it back to cause more pain to my experience there. While we were eating a staff brought over a foam container and placed it on our table....what's that? I opened it up to find a fresh serving of hot french fries and wondered if that came with our meal but it couldn't because we had mashed potatoes and carrots in our dish. I didn't know about this container of fries and it sure looked tempting because it was hot and our main course was NOT. Moments later a staff person checked on how our dinner was, noticed the fries and said they didn't belong on our table. That staffer closed the container and brought it to the other table where it may have belonged. That couple just paid their bill but didn't take the fries when they left. I wouldn't take the fries either because they were served to another table AND that staffer took that opened container and gave it to the other customer. Health violation? To me, this was truly pitiful. A FAILED dinner experience all around read more

I don't even know where to start, this cute restaurant we stumbled upon exceeded our expectations. The food and service were delightful. We tried every single dish and was so full by the end of the night. We loved the crab cakes and our entrees of pork shoulder and duck the most. Had dinner two nights ago. The place was absolutely filled with small flying insects. My lamb chops ($34) were lukewarm,at best. Over-cooked as well. My wife's steak was half fat. Don't eat here. Highly overrated. Drinks are expensive, and slow to arrive. Wont be back. This place thrives on its rep, but it's seriously gone downhill. There are better options. read more

A gem in Safety Harbor! Stopped in for Sunday Brunch, sat out back on the patio which was really a nice atmosphere. Walked past a nice bar in the interior. Will need to check that out in the future. Brunch menu was a lot of unique choices. I went for the breakfast street tacos. These were not your average taco. They were an explosion of great flavors. The tortillas had a melted cheese on the outside that made them a bit crunchy. I will be back to check out the dinner menu! read more

TLDR: cute ambiance, great fish & great staff. We had a romantic dinner date at the beautiful restaurant. We enjoyed our dining experience at this adorable establishment. We arrived a few minutes early and waited at the bench swing out front which was a great way to start a date night. We then had a couple of drinks, an espresso martini which wasn't my favorite and a sangria which was way more tasty. We each had fish for dinner. Both were delicious though the balsamic drizzle was a little odd tasting with the red fish. Our waitress was an absolute joy and we were able to find street parking very easily. I liked the ginger martini. It was a chilly night during this recent visit, I chose the braised short ribs with root vegetables and mashed potatoes. It was a flavor filled winner, ate everything with gusto. A solo musician was playing during dinner, Matt Zitwer his songs and voice added to the wonderful ambiance of the meal. Impromptu date night led my husband and I to The Kitchen and what an amazing night it turned out to be! Adorned with a true Florida home atmosphere we stepped into what felt like real old time Florida! We didn't have a reservation but we're welcomed like we were family! David, the kindest host we'd ever met not only put intentional thought about where he sat us but also introduced our waitress, Wendy, and went on to explain how the chef was the most amazing chef he had worked with in all his years in the service industry. Wendy was equally as welcoming and attentive. They both clearly love their job. On to the food: the menu has so many options making our choice extremely difficult. Wendy gave us tremendous suggestions and time to ditch our indecision and replace it with trust in David's compliments of the chef. Analysis: The food is AMAZING!!! Best steak I have ever had! Literally, ever! Though 1/2 price Wednesday bottles of wine may have played a part in my bias, I am blown away at the level of detail given to each item we ordered! I felt like I was in a movie with people celebrating friendships and birthdays around us. We could have sat there for hours it was so welcoming! We will be back. The staff is super friendly and helpful and seemed to genuinely care that we had a great experience. We started with a couple of their house cocktails which were very good. For food we began with a cup of their special lobster bisque which we enjoyed and the Brussel sprouts which were great with a lemony/balsamic sauce. For entrees we had the Chicken Marsala and the Pork Chop. Both were delicious and we had plenty to take home for a meal later. Their wine list was pretty good and the prices were quite fair. This restaurant is situated in the small town of Safety Harbor, Fl in a renovated house. The ambience was great- this however is the ONLY good thing about this place. After that, it all goes downhill. We ventured out on a Monday night, the place really wasn't that busy though it still took forever to be seated. Once seated, again it took forever to be greeted by a waitress, and when she finally appeared, our top two choices were on "the other menu." Apparently, they change the menu every so often. Then there were the prices. $38 for ONE pork chop; $48 for an 8oz filet mignon; $20 for the "wedge salad," lest we forget the $4 iced teas. Finally, one would/should expect at these prices the food would be at least decent. Nope. Nothing could be further from the truth. The steak was ordered medium and served well done, the wedge salad was a huge bowl of white lettuce cut from the very bottom accompanied by four measly pieces of overdone pork, and the sweet iced tea was, for lack of a more appropriate description, very bitter. Adding insult to injury is the fact we were seated next to the patio doors, and on a 46 degree night we absolutely froze. The only reason this place gets one star is no stars was not an option. There are many other restaurants in Safety Harbor- stay away from this one unless you desire to break the bank on mediocre food and horrible service. read more

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. I had made reservations on November 2 through Open Door for a party of 4 outdoors in the back. I called The Kitchen the same day to request the outdoor seating . The manager called me on November 7 to tell me they booked a banquet and could only seat me under an umbrella in the front of the restaurant. This is what I call very rude and unacceptable. I definitely don't recommend a restaurant that provides this type of service. There are much better restaurants in Safety Harbor. read more
