So I called a few other roofers to come and bid on the project. Kenny Jr came out and quickly detected the issue and gave me a detailed project plan. I decided to go with KLC mostly because I found Kenny to be very reliable and knowledgeable. Him and his team worked with me through this complicated project that involved some wood repair by them, re-stuccoing by my contractor, and them coming back to finish and seal the roof. I had a lot of anxiety about the project but Kenny's diligence amd collaborative spirit made it all go so smoothly. The office (Elsa) is also great and very flexible, making sure that the project works well with my schedule. After the repair was done, we did some water test, but saw some water inside. Kenny came back to inspect and found that its not the roof leaking, but the chimney wall, which he fixed right then and there. We water tested again and no leak :) I have worked with a lot of contractors, but KLC is definitely top tier in terms of reliability, attention to details, flexibility, and diligence. I wish everyone was like them, but unfortunately thats far from truth. Thank you Kenny and I wish you all the best with your business. I will be sure to give you guys a call if any future repairs are needed.

Highly Recommend Miguez Remodeling!…read more It was such a pleasure working with Leonel and his team at Miguez Remodeling! From the beginning, the whole process was easy and stress-free. Scheduling a time for Leonel to come out and look at the project was simple, and he immediately understood exactly what we wanted done. We had drywall replaced in several bedrooms, the wall texture smoothed out, and insulation added. His team was professional, efficient, and did a great job. I also felt their pricing was very fair and competitive compared to the other quotes I received. Overall, I'm really happy with the experience and the work they did. I would definitely recommend Miguez Remodeling to anyone looking for quality work at a reasonable price. I'm already planning to use them again for a bigger project coming up!

We added some upgrades to the bathroom such as vanity and recess lighting which gave the restroom a whole new modern look. Extremely happy with Quality Construction and would recommended them to anyone needing remodeling since they can do it all.

We just completed a 3 room remodel (kitchen/laundry/bathroom) and are super happy with the results. Permitted with our city. We had 2 walls removed to extend our galley kitchen, giving us more room and allowing the design to be more functional. Stripped down to the studs, insulation, fresh walls, tile flooring, custom cabinets, clean ceiling, electric, plumbing, the works. Sergio and his team helped us overcome a few hurdles and made our journey as smooth as possible. You know how some kids don't play well together? Well, OSH plays very well with others. Other who mess-up, other contractors, other's options. Sergio is always on your side for design, functionality and safety. When we had unique requests they did all the could to accommodate us. The team was always on time, friendly and professional. Actually they were very fun to work with. Thank you to The OSH Family. God bless.

I finally found the best contractor and just had an amazing experience building an 880sqft ADU. From the first day I discussed the project with Sergio the owner, I felt a sense of ease and trust. Segio is a standup guy and a solid business owner. He has excellent knowledge of all types of remodels and new construction. The proposal was clear and straightforward. His estimate was fair and competitive. Also, there were no change-orders for the project. Sergio hates change-orders just as much as we all do. I chose to add a few things throughout the project and his charges were more than fair. He even did some extra things at no charge. As far as the craftsmanship, the team at OSH is excellent from the crew that built the foundation to the plumbing, electrical, drywall, finishes and painting. OSH has a good size team and self performs almost everything, which gives you peace of mind and better control over timing, budget and quality. Now here is the icing on the cake, OSH Construction completed the job ahead of schedule. Sergio provided a schedule that was already very aggressive. I honestly didn't think it is even possible. The entire house was built in less than 5 months. They were often waiting on us to make decisions and select finishes. They are so fast and efficient while providing the best quality craftsmanship. If you hire OSH Construction, have all your ducks in a row and you will have your remodel completed in no time. I highly recommend OSH Construction and Sergio in particular as a contractor. You will rarely find someone like him these days. A man of his word, who cares about his clients, his employees and does the right thing all the time.

Of everyone I spoke to, Chris took the time to thoroughly look at it, explain to me why it was leaking, present options for short and long term repairs, and was super communicative after. So when we finally decided to finish out our garage, we knew who to call. They're the best! We've had various projects done by contractors over the years and I've just always been searching for one that seems to genuinely care about doing it right, like it was their own home. That's Chris and his crew. They clearly explain what they're doing, what options you have, the pros and cons of each, and price differences. Super responsive and communicative and trustworthy. And they do a great job! We're really happy with our garage now. It actually feels like a nice living space now because they were very detailed with every step, ensuring the construction is solid and also looks nice. Can't recommend them enough! We've found our guy and will always work with him and his team moving forward.

From the initial planning phases to the final inspection, the entire team was professional, transparent, and incredibly skilled. Maximizing a smaller footprint (around 320+ sq. ft.) requires smart design, and they nailed it. The craftsmanship is excellent, though the project was delayed (primarily because of additional nuanced city requirements), their communication throughout the construction process kept us at ease. Though not everything went smoothly, they appropriately addressed and rectified any issues that popped up during the construction process. If you are looking to build an ADU in the OC area, save yourself the headache and go with this team. We gladly recommend OC Builders to family and friends. We were incredibly satisfied throughout the build process and of course the results are beautiful, and will definitely go with this team again should another project come up. Right from the get go, it was clear that he is an honest person and gave us a lot of confidence that he will be able to handle the project. We had to wait a few months to get the permit approval from the city, and Micky followed up with the permit officers diligently. He had his team ready to jump in with the demo, and started working on the project immediately after we received the permits. The project took a couple of months longer than expected (in part because we asked for some changes, and in part because Micky had underestimated some of the work). But we did not mind the delay as it was clear that Micky's team was doing the work properly and not cutting corners. One piece of advice: Micky gives you accurate timelines for his material options, but if you want other options then you will have to be on top of it yourself to make sure you get it in time. This is understandable, and once we realized it, we were able to better forecast when certain aspects of the project will be completed. Micky is just an amazing human being - kind, thoughtful, and empathetic. The patience paid off. We now live in one of the best houses on the street (which was previously an eye sore). Our sincere gratitude for Micky and his team. We will seek his company out for future projects.

An Architect's Review…read more As an architect, I work with contractors on a regular basis and needless to say, I was probably more particular than most when it came to choosing someone to work on my own home. Word of mouth and research led me to ARC / Armando... and I'm glad I went with him! From the beginning, communication was clear and straightforward. We went through the scope of work, my requirements and budget. I had some very basic drawings prepared to communicate my ideas. Along the way, Armando made suggestions to work with my requirements and budget. His pricing was reasonable and, most importantly, he completed the work within the budget we originally agreed upon. Anyone who has done a renovation before knows how easily costs can start creeping up once work begins. That was not my experience here. The scope and budget were established upfront and Armando stuck to them. And this was very important to me as I had no way of accommodating an increase in cost. The work was for a garage renovation, it included interior demo, replacement of an exterior window, addition of a new exterior door, vinyl wood flooring, drywall and installation of a new gypsum ceiling. Work progressed efficiently and to my expectations with no unnecessary delays. Communication throughout the project was excellent, and mostly Armando initiating the conversations to keep me updated. He was also very easy to work with on finishes and hardware. Some items I provided myself while others were sourced by him. Again, he made recommendations to work with my budget while not compromising on quality. Speaking of quality, the quality of the work was exceptional. It has now been over a year since the renovation was completed and everything still looks as good as the day it was finished. Absolutely zero complaints! His attention to detail was very much appreciated. He constantly made suggestions when he felt something could be improved. For example, he suggested a more random tile pattern for the vinyl floor instead of the more regular stagger I had proposed. We went with his suggestion and I am very pleased with it. Armando is knowledgeable, reliable and a pleasure to work with. Coming from someone who deals with contractors professionally all the time, I don't make that recommendation lightly. Definitely highly recommended and he will be my first call for future projects!

Where is the 10-star button?!? I cannot recommend Max highly enough. After firing the design…read morebuilder I originally engaged, Max stepped in to complete a full remodel of our little HB cottage. What was once a tired and dated 2-bedroom house is now an adorably modern and expansive 1-bedroom, complete with spa-like bathroom and vaulted ceilings. Unbelievably, the project came in on time and on budget.

Our electric cooktop and hood broke many months ago, and we thought that replacing it with a gas…read morecooktop and new hood would be straightforward. It turns out that was not true. One plumber could install a gas line only, another plumber could install a gas line and the gas cooktop but not the hood, and an appliance installation technician could not install the cooktop because he could not cut into the existing granite top. So I found Max of MRI Construction and Remodeling on Yelp, and he said that he could do the work within that original scope -- cooktop, hood, and gas line -- but that we should anticipate a backup plan in case the granite cracked during installation. Because we plan to live in this house for as long as possible, we decided to go through a full kitchen renovation. We had a prior experience with another general contractor who was impossible to get a hold of and who could not ensure the quality of the subcontractors he hired, and interviewed another general contractor who gave us the impression that we would have to engage with suppliers and subcontractors more than seemed feasible. We are happy to say that we just finished our kitchen renovation last week! And it was finished a week earlier than scheduled. We are thankful to Max and his team of subcontractors! We are really happy with the final kitchen, given how much we cook at home. And surprisingly the process was easy despite its size and time of 6 weeks. Max has the strengths and qualities you want for your construction projects: he's incredibly responsive, honest and communicative, and willing and able to troubleshoot issues that come up, as they invariably do, both small and large. He makes recommendations if you ask and gives you options for decisions for which there are too many options. He works with an amazing group of subcontractors who are experts in their craft. There was an exception with one subcontractor but Max was able to get that course-corrected so that the project finished strong. We appreciate his integrity and his willingness to ensure that the project meets your needs and expectations. We are grateful that we found Max on Yelp and for being able to work with him on a kitchen that we love and also within budget!! Thank you, Max and MRI Construction!!
