Keep Coffee in Convoy is such a cute little spot for a coffee run! The drinks were really good, the space had a chill vibe, and it's the kind of place you can easily stop by whether you're grabbing something to go or want to study / work. The entire team was so kind and helpful with questions. Definitely a fun addition to the Convoy area!
I ordered the truffle cheese bun and a Thai iced tea. Both were good. They only have indoor seating. The music was loud for the time of morning. Staff for friendly. Decor was a little bare and the seats were definitely uncomfortable. Over all it was ok
Keep Cafe on Convoy is such a gem! I love the aesthetic they've built here; it's bright, clean, and just feels really welcoming. The staff is so helpful and kind, which I really appreciated. I treated myself to the Keep Latte and their famous cream cheesy garlic bun, and they did not disappoint. The bun was incredibly yummy, and everything tasted so fresh. It's honestly the perfect little spot for a relaxing afternoon pick-me-up. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for something tasty in a great space.
I stopped in for some matcha and girrrrrrl. It was so good!! The strawberry cold foam is probably the best I've ever had. 10/10, no notes. I'll definitely be back!!
Got the Keep Joy (strawberry matcha) and Keep Dance Matcha (coconut + spirulina matcha)!! Honestly was a little disappointed with Keep Joy. I think there was too much cream to matcha ratio; it honestly tasted like I was drinking milk HOWEVER, Keep Dance Matcha was *chefs kiss* It was so sweet, creamy, coconutty, and matchay!!! There's a Keep Dance Coffee too, I'd want to try that next time if it's not a seasonal item! The drinks came out super quickly and I love the mismatched furniture! A fan of this quirky interior!
One of the newer coffee shops in Kearny Mesa, I remember seeing the "hype" of it on social media. Tried it today for the first time and it does not live up to the hype. $8-$9 lattes? No thanks, don't care how good it tastes, I refuse to pay that much for a latte. Service and atmosphere was good, but that's about it. I opted for a more basic drink, an americano. 12 Oz comes with a double shot and 16 oz comes with a triple and I must say, the coffee doesn't pack a punch and is weak. They had three different beans to choose from, which was nice, but I wish the coffee was less watered down. More cons than pros here in my opinion. Cons: Parking sucks, expensive drinks, weak watered down coffee. Pros: good service, nice atmosphere. Not enough for me to come back, I wouldn't recommend.

Seating: Indoor seating with a mix of styles -- good for groups or solo visitors. Probably room for about 30-40 people. Vibes: Welcome to Convoy! Tons of eateries and coffee shops nearby, and sometimes even community events happening around the area. The space itself is spacious and low-key, with clean light wood accents and seasonal décor. I appreciated the Olivia Dean soundtrack playing in the background -- added to the chill energy. Great natural lighting makes it a solid study or social spot. FOOD/DRINKS Keep Coffee Matcha Latte (Recommend): Their signature "cloud" (sweet marshmallow foam) is a fun touch. The matcha delivered that classic earthy flavor, and the cloud added a creamy sweetness that balanced it nicely. Not overly sugary -- just smooth and enjoyable. SERVICE Great service -- friendly staff and my order came out quickly. TL;DR OVERALL 4 Stars. Wonderful. Good flavors, solid pricing, and a comfortable environment. Convoy has no shortage of coffee shops, but this one stands out for its charm -- spacious, friendly, and productivity-friendly. I got the Keep Joy drink which is a strawberry matcha latte with a biscoff cookie. The drink was weirdly very dense and creamy..... I would not recommend it. The matcha flavor was nonexistent. The price tag was an astronomical $9.48 and there is also an additional charge if you want to substitute whole milk.
it was okay coffee. limited parking, also note that you will have to pay for parking. Coffee were pretty. taste was okay. small room, limited seating that was quick to be filled in by kids reviewing. service was okay. since students stay longer the place and floor gets icky. needs a little clean up.

We ordered the Keep Matcha and the Keep Latte (without syrup), and both tasted incredibly fresh, vibrant, and fun. You can really tell they care about the quality of their ingredients and how the drinks are crafted. The place has a great vibe going, and it's clear they're serving their customers really well. It's a bit on the pricier side, though. Definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a quality coffee experience.
An interesting and fairly new coffee shop and hangout in Kearny Mesa near the intersection of Convoy and Clairemont Mesa. It's right next to O Zone Billiards. The interior is really spacious and minimalistic, with a grand piano in the center of the room, plenty of seating, and lots of electrical outlets to boot. Strangely enough, I had a kind of reverse experience here. Usually, I find that coffee shops tend to mask the lower quality (or burntness) of their beans through their fancier espresso drinks. At The Keep, the straight Supernova espresso shot was absolutely delicious and super high-quality. On the other hand, the latte was overly milky, to the point that I couldn't taste the Ethiopian espresso at all. I think they need to balance the milk and additives in their drinks to help make their very tasty beans shine. I'll have to come back sometime soon to try another drink and a pastry so I have a more well-rounded understanding of The Keep's offerings. It sure seems like people love it--the place was packed and my latte took about 15 minutes to make. Update: My second visit to The Keep bumped the cafe from 4/5 to 5/5. This go around, I ordered the Ethiopian espresso I first tried in the latte my first visit. It was delicious! The roasts they're using are incredible. I like the Supernova a bit more due to the citrus notes, but this one was solid as well. I also had a cortado with Brazilian beans. It was really good too. Finally, I tried a pastry, opting for the chocolate croissant. They heated it up for me and it was super flavorful and flaky. I have a feeling this place got stars knocked off from being so hyped up and busy during its opening months, which likely led to a pace of business that was extremely difficult to serve consistently. Now that they're in the swing of things, I can confidently say it's in my top 10 coffee shops in San Diego county.
It's was $9 for a cup of milk. They put some sort of cream topping but it's not necessary with how milk heavy this drink is. I read somewhere that it's 4 shot but I don't think that's true. The tai tea was even worse at least when we got home we could add more coffee to the cup of milk they call a latte. I like sweet and milky coffee but this was very disappointing.
A cute coffee shop that definitely lives up to some of the hype! I decided to stop by because I had heard so much about this place, and overall, it's a really good coffee shop. The space is super cute, the staff is friendly, and the drinks always look beautiful. You can definitely tell they put a lot of attention to detail into what they make. The drinks do take a little longer to come out, but I think that's because they're taking their time to make sure everything is done well. I got the Keep Latte, and while it was good, it wasn't necessarily my favorite coffee I've had. That said, I'd still come back if I'm in the area. I just wish this place were a little closer to me! It's also a good-sized space if you want to bring your laptop and get some work done. The biggest downside is definitely the parking. They share a lot with several other businesses, so it fills up pretty quickly. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would recommend checking it out if you're in the area and have some time to spare! read more

This is a cute little coffee shop offering creative and unique drinks that put a twist on traditional coffee offerings. Their sweet cream that goes on-top of their drinks is great and the space is peaceful and spacious offering many areas to sit and enjoy your drink or to work from. The staff is friendly and effect and we had a very little wait for our drinks despite the amount of people present. Parking is interesting but don't let it discourage you from this quaint off the beaten path stop. The coffee itself was good, perhaps a bit bitter and acidic but mixed in the drinks it offers a nice balance for the tasty iced and hot options. I look forward to coming back and trying the bean specific options to get a better grasp on the flavor profile of each of their roasted bean options. read more
The foam is so decadent and delicious. Make sure you mix it well into your coffee first, otherwise your coffee will go too quick and you're sitting there sad because you just have a cup of delicious, thick foam on top of ice. The Keep Adore tastes like Neapolitan ice cream but if you prefer a creamy, slightly sweet coffee get the Keep Latte. Note for parking: they have 4-5 dedicated spaces in their parking lot. Apparently you're not allowed to use the adjacent parking lot so if their dedicated spaces are used, you'll have to find street parking. read more
I'd heard that this new coffee shop had opened and popped in when I got a chance. Be forewarned that at the time of my visit there were only 2 parking spots that The Keep Customers can use. And the adjacent lot posted a sign to The Keep Customers that they would be towed if they parked there. So I ended up parking on the street. I don't mind walking so I don't rate businesses on parking. The server did not welcome us as we entered, even when we stood at the counter deciding what to order. After ordering we were handed a beeper to pick up our coffees. I do question tipping percentage in this scenario when they don't have to come to the table to take or deliver an order. My latte was pretty standard, but I do appreciate nice latte art! The scone was a bit dry. My friend got to chose the beans they used in her espresso and said she enjoyed its richness. And her matcha was good. I liked the industrial decor. If I could give a half star, I'd give it 2.5 stars. read more
I originally went to Keep Coffee hoping to get a Matcha drink, but I must have misunderstood the menu, because I ended up ordering an Iced Mocha topped with Strawberry Cold Foam. Actually, I am glad I did! because it was incredibly flavorful, rich, and absolutely delicious. The strawberry foam added the perfect touch of sweetness. Yes, I am sure it was a calorie-heavy drink, but I practiced control and didn't finish the whole thing, just enough to enjoy. I also tried the bagel with sweet and savory garlic cream cheese, and it was so, so good! The garlic flavor was delicious but not overpowering, just the right balance of creamy, savory, and a hint of sweet. I felt that same "calorie guilt" with the bagel too, but again, I didn't finish it, and I was happy with the portion I did enjoy. Parking, however, is a bit of a pain. It's located in a little strip mall with several reserved spots for other businesses but not for Keep Coffee. I ended up parking on the street, which wasn't ideal. The ambiance is fairly basic. It's clean and simple, but I do personally enjoy a café with more decorative charm or cozy touches. They did have good music playing in the background, which helped create a pleasant and relaxed vibe while I enjoyed my coffee and bagel. Service was fine not exceptional or overly engaging, but basic and satisfactory. Overall, based on the great-tasting drink and bagel alone, I'd return. However, due to the parking situation and the simple atmosphere, I'm giving 4 stars. read more
Pretty drinks in a pretty convenient location (near a bunch of car service shops). It's a cute little shop perfect for hanging out and enjoying a small pastry and drink. But I wasn't blown away by any of the drinks we had. We ordered the Keep Adore (espresso, chocolate and strawberry whip) but it was incredibly overpowered by the espresso shot and no amount of sugar could subdue it. The presentation was nice but the drink was not it. We also ordered their Keep Thai (thai tea equivalent) and it was alright. The whipped cream and chocolate sprinkle on top was a nice touch. They also only take credit card and seats are reserved for customers only. read more

Cute third space if you ignore the grodiness. Drink: 2/5 I got the Thai Tea, and my friend got the Strawberry Matcha. The Thai Tea had a licorice aftertaste that I didn't find too pleasant. The Strawberry Matcha was alright--the sweetness was in the strawberry, and that was plenty. Service: 3/5 Service is standard. Nothing to comment, and no news is good news. Atmosphere: 1/5 This place is pretty gross... The floor is dirty, so much so that I did not want to drop anything on the floor. The bathroom was stinky. The tables were dirty and needed a wipe down to comfortable sit. The attached photo is the result of a SECOND wipe down of the table we sat at. I would not come back here. I would recommend this place to someone who is waiting for their 3Cat order and needs temporary shelter. Final rating: 2/5 read more
This place is a hidden gem, it is a coffee shop with unique coffee and matcha drinks. Inside there is space to study, do work, or hang out with friends. I enjoyed my drink very much, as well as the ham and cheese croissant, but I do recommend to get there early because they do run out of Bakery items. The parking is difficult you might have to park on the street and walk a little bit. read more

went on a friday morning and it wasnt too busy. interior is cute. the parking lot is tiny and a lot of the spaces are reserved for other businesses in the strip mall. they WILL tow you, when we walked back to the car one of the business owners was calling a tow truck on us. -keep x (4/5): so pretty! decent black sesame flavor though i felt it couldve been a little stronger, LOVED how thick the whipped cream was. was also buzzing since their drinks all have 3 shots in them -their drinks are around $9-10 which is kinda outrageous, BUT all their coffee drinks come with 3 shots so the pricing kinda evens out overall, cute coffee shop with aesthetic drinks that taste pretty good, but are also quite pricey. would be down to come back and try their other menu items since they are pretty interesting and i love a cute drink, but likely wouldnt be a regular given the high price point read more

Got some garlic cream cheese buns and the keep matcha - I must say that the garlic cream cheese buns are the most addicting ever. They were so crisp and garlicky on the outside and super creamy and soft inside. The cream cheese is on the sweeter side but complements super well. On the other hand, the keep matcha had an almondy/hazelnut flavor which didnt pair well with matcha. The proportion of cream to latte is also extremely off, too much cream for a bit of latte. Theres no parking btw, so prepare to drive around for a bit. read more

Love a creamy matcha and here just hits the spot! They had all these Valentine's Day strawberry cream flavor specials, so good with matcha! It's a rich indulgent matcha latte and I'm addicted! My hubby got the triple shot expresso with cream and he said it was so good as well! Service was prompt, lots of seats and WiFi, there is even a grand piano in the back! Chill ambiance, industrial space feeling. Area is next to billiards and a claw machine store. read more

My girl friend and I stopped by to check out their matcha game. They offered many types of matcha drinks and a seasonal one too. I got the matcha latte and oat milk with no ice and my friend got the ceremonial matcha. My no ice matcha drink came out to just half a cup full and I was surprised. For $7, I felt I had to mention that I'm surprised and the girl automatically knew and offered to add more oat milk. The matcha latte was just alright. Nothing special about it. My friend said the same. I'm not sure I'd recommend this place The space was nice with plenty of seating. There was a piano for people to jump on and play it. There were many customers read more
Came back to try their matcha and it unfortunately didn't live up to my standards. We ordered the keep matcha and keep joy but they were both pretty milky, sweet and I couldn't taste the matcha. The cream top on the keep matcha was pretty sweet and overpowering. The strawberry puree in the keep joy was pretty thick so it was hard to sip the drink and it got overpowering. Drinks were over $10 and substituting for oat milk was $1 so the prices aren't worth it. There are other better and more affordable cafes in the area. read more

Came here for the third time and sadly I don't think I will be returning. We got the keep matcha & keep joy, and both drinks were pretty milky and barely tasted like matcha which was disappointing for over $10 a drink. Service was quick and there's lots of indoor seating which is a plus. However the matcha is not for me and there are better, more affordable options nearby read more

Matcha was pretty good as well as the pastries. However to put it bluntly.. the shop itself is pretty gross. Floors dirty, chairs and tables dirty, half of the area closed off and looks unfinished. If you don't mind the not so nice environment then this place is alright. read more
I came here on a whim after seeing how pretty their drinks looked on social media/Yelp, but it was a bit underwhelming. I tried the Keep Matcha (an einspänner, $8). It was just okay, not bad, but not great either. There was a lot of cream, and it overpowered the matcha, so it mostly just tasted like cream/milk. The place itself had a good amount of people, many studying or working, so it could be a nice environment for that. Just note that the tables are on the smaller side. read more

The pistachio latte is my absolute favorite. You can't go wrong with the garlic cream cheese bun. They make their drinks homemade and the pastries are from scratch. I always have amazing Customer Service here. I will always come back for delicious coffee and baked goods. read more
