We had a cat dealing with recurrent UTIs which our previous vet treated with the usual antibiotics each time. The vets at Feline Specialties recommended an ultrasound and discovered the cause of her UTIs. Once that was properly treated she never had another one. Having a cat only facility is also better for our kitties, who get stressed out at traditional vet clinics with loud barking dogs. I can't recommend Feline Specialties highly enough.

When we had to make the most difficult decision to put down our 17 year old, Tigger after he was suffering through kidney failure, they were so very concerned about us and extremely compassionate to Tigger when the time came. They actually cried with us and provided lots of support and hugs. They even took care of sending Tigger to a great place to be cremated. A couple days after we were so appreciative to receive Tigger's paw print in a lovely velvet bag, a card signed by all the staff, phone calls to see how we were doing. After a month without our Tigger, we adopted 3 rescue kitties. One, Rigby in 2009. He's 12 now and is in need of a full tissue biopsy procedure. Of course we're worried but we have the upmost trust in the doctors. Dr. Zinn, Dr. O'Cain to provide Rigby with a comprehensive caring surgery. Dr. Palmer is a great addition to the staff. They are the best in their field, bar none! One of our other kitties, Meija had kidney stones that required surgery and later a tooth extraction. She is doing great although she needs to go twice a week for fluids which they lovingly care for Meija and have developed a sweet relationship with her. She is thriving with their care. Our Eleanor seems to be in good health with yearly check up's and vaccinations. If she should have any problems we know she will be taken care of. We feel like family with the doctors, techs and support staff. They truly are gifts to any cat parents

They are all volunteers, all 40 or so of them, many behind the scenes, and they really do a great service to the community and to people who are looking for good cats. These cats will have great lives because of them. After having lost two older cats to separate, sudden and severe medical issues a few months apart in 2024, I stlll had one cat, but after some time I realized I needed one more to make my family complete. And not just any cat, one that I chose and that also chose me. I found him there, and what a nice fellow he is! With the help of the very nice volunteers I was able to apply for adoption and check out a handsome five year old cat who had no health issues, that was displaced through no fault of his own. It didn't take very long from start to finish. With patience and lots of love I am incorporate him into the family. He is a very loving and outgoing cat, to counterbalance my other sweet older one who is an introvert and sleeps all the time. The story is the "happily ever after" kind. I just can't say enough good about the people who made this all come together! So much was done before I got there to have everything ready to just add a new pet owner. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. Just recently Dr Fleming and I discussed how she will continue to treat my dog after I move out of state this summer. It's worth the expense to fly my pet home so she can get great care from a wonderful group of people, and the best Vet I know.

We buy specialty dog food here, and the price is better than Southern Agriculture and other big chain pet stores. Some of the dog foods have a loyalty program which can lead to free bags of dog food!
