We've now come to this location a few times because it's the only decent restaurant near my…read morehusband's workplace. It's always pretty busy during the lunch. But you don't have to actually wait much for a table because most people are getting takeout. You can tell a lot of working people come to this location to eat. The service is fine but you can tell they are still learning because they sometimes make mistakes on your order so make sure you check the bill when you get it before you pay it. If they make a mistake, they can pay you cash back if you use the card to pay. There is a manager on site that knows how to do everything. It's just a hassle sometimes Mistakes. And mistakes have happened at least twice when we've gone there but we know they're learning so we are pretty understanding. The location is really clean. The bathroom is also really clean so it's a nice comfortable place to eat with kids but there are no kids menus or anything so bring something to keep your kids entertained if you go here and make sure you check the menu to see if there's something your kids will eat. My kids actually don't need anything on the menu so I bring them box lunches and my husband and I eat from the menu. The only thing they eat is a french fries. We've ordered the chicken sandwiches, the pasta, the grilled cheese and the salad. All the food is normal food nothing amazing but the prices are pretty good for the larger meals. The portions sizes are pretty good as well. If you're getting a salad, I'd recommend just getting the big salad because it's a little bit larger than side salad , but the quality of the food overall has been pretty good for the price. You can also upgrade it for three dollars and you'll get a drink plus some french fries. We recommend this place if you're in the area and you're craving some American food. FYI it's called the West bistro so if you put in the culinary Academy on your GPS you would have to look for the actual restaurant which is in the school.

The program is fast-paced, and what you take from it really depends on the effort you put in. Chef Michel stood out for his calm and focused teaching style. His clarity and composure made it easy to absorb complex techniques. He was always prepared and skillful about course-correcting any issues without disrupting the flow of the class. He also shared occasional operational insights, like references to Nevada's HACCP, that were especially helpful for those interested in starting a business. Chef Amaury's perfectionism was equally impressive. His attention to detail and creative standards challenged us to be more thoughtful and precise in our own work. Even for those with experience, it's worth attending. If you have specific areas you want to develop, both chefs are approachable and open to questions. If you show up ready to learn, there's a lot of knowledge to gain. Overall, I'm very pleased with my experience at the Pastry Academy.

I will admit this is not my first time in a croissant class or making laminated dough. I realize we…read moreare all at different levels of experience. This is a 3-hour class that did not have enough time to allow the croissants to proof - when I saw that I gave up. I was looking forward to enjoying crunchy, buttery, savory and sweet croissants. This was basically how not to finish your croissants at home - don't let them proof enough. If you can't do that in the time frame make the class longer, warm up the kitchen or don't teach it. If the instructor had paid attention - a little skill building on how to roll out dough would have been helpful. Rolling dough and butter for the lamination is a thing - rectangles, smooth, even thickness, not too much flour. Well our group of 4 knew none of that. Yet the instructor just carried on. She did give a great tip to get your butter the right size so you can make your dough fit the butter. But didn't make up for all the work ending in croissants that never rose/proofed before baking. Three hours, 2 -15 min breaks for unproofed ham and cheese and cinnamon rolls. She showed us how to roll out, cut and roll up the classic croissant - one mini and moved on. Honestly class would have been better getting to a classic, well proofed croissant and looked a lot better than the flat squares and cinnamon rolls. Disappointed was looking forward to 144 layers of buttery croissant.

We had an initial intake call with Lindsay to get to know our likes and dislikes. They had an intake form that Lindsay completed for me. What a help. Other agencies wanted us to fill out a long forms, so this was extremely helpful. We met the chef on that call as well, so the whole team was informed and organized. Next we scheduled the days and chef Whitni came into our home for the first time. She is so professional and friendly. She made our house feel like home with all of the smells wafting from the kitchen. She made dishes we loved using the Whole30 diet as a required by my physician. She knew the diet well and sent us a link to other recipes. We snapped pics of several dishes and sent them to her. She made our menu and it did not disappoint. We are falling in love with food again. Thank you chef Whitni!!!!! You won't be disappointed, the fees are reasonable and are charged per hour.
