The food is good quality , service is reasonably fast, ambiance was more buffet diner, good to drop by for lunch and more!

Haven't been here in a while, had some visits where the selection seemed less, but went back (12.28.24) and was very pleased.we went at 6pm on a Saturday night and it was already packed with a full waiting room, but they seated us pretty quickly. Food was hot and plentiful (see pics). And for only $22 a person, a very good deal: sushi/rolls, prime rib, fish, again cuisine, and sour much more. #yum #ReviewsByRL

Prices have went way up! The staff did not check up on our table just waited at the front door for more guests to come in but wouldn't take care of current guests. Food was good compared to other buffets but I did find hair in my noodles. The seating was all ripped up a piece of metal was hanging out from one of the railings. The bathrooms wreak couldn't stay in there longer than a minute. Vulgar Graffiti everywhere in there. Literally right after making this post I went to get my kid some ice cream and there was none left and one of the workers came behind me and told me to "get get go shoo move" because I was in her way. Very rude!! Another guest looked at me in awe the way she acted. Then when I was paying my bill the waiter wouldn't let me leave unless I gave her a tip of her liking!! I will never return to this place again!

We visited The Journey Buffet for the first time. It was my oldest bday. The server made a cake for him topped with whipped cream & chocolate drizzle. Sang happy birthday to him. The buffet had a great selection of seafoods. For the younger kids they had a hard time finding some meat choices. This restaurant is geared towards the seafood side. Our kept on the plate removal. Never refilled out drinks. Very expensive to dine here.

Went here for a weekday dinner. Definitely a quantity over quality type of place - kind of expected to be honest. Based on other reviews, there are usually crab legs, roast duck, and a chocolate fountain - none were available this day (in fact, they left a label saying roast duck but they put green beans underneath). They did have prime rib, which was surprisingly good and they also had dragonfruit (albeit underripe), which is extremely rare to find in a Chinese buffet. Everything else was mediocre to bad - most item in the normal buffet trays seem to reheated frozen food or prepackaged mixes from food service companies. They had stations for to-order crepe and noodle bowls, both were fine. You can tell the noodle broth is made from powder. The sushi was freshly prepared but combined mushy rice with limp stuffing/toppings. We had no issues with the service; seemed to be pretty standard for a buffet place. The silverware and tables were a bit on the sticky and grimy side - again, not unexpected for this type of restaurant. Pricing was a bit on the expensive side - $20.99 a person. If you want a lot of food and a lot of variety there's really nothing wrong with going to The Journey.

This restaurant has been around forever. When it opened, it was known for low prices, fresh food and a chocolate fountain surrounded with gargantuan strawberries, marshmallows along with other fruits to dip. While the huge fountain doesn't erupt from the restaurant's center at lunchtime (it maybe dinner only) there's still something for everyone. They have steak, spare ribs, sushi, dessert crepes made to order (limit 2 per person), a full salad bar, soups, pot roast, quesadillas and so much more.

Stopped by for lunch, service was great, food was good but not great. We would rate this place a 3.5 if it was an option.

Clean place but food experience is not like it used to be, yet prices have gone up. Expensive for the quality. Doubtful we will return.

Any good seafood now that they don't have crab legs?

    No, don't bother.

    Is it open?

Yep, it's open. I spent Christmas Day here.

What dishes are not available at lunchtime? I saw on the website certain dishes are only available for dinner.

The crab legs and prime rib are not available at lunch time. There is no lunch on Sunday. All day is considered dinner price. I'm not sure about Saturday.Lunch is much cheaper than dinner and still delicious. There is plenty to choose from in the…

Are crab legs available every day at dinner?

They sell just about everything imaginable for Japanese cooking, including sashimi grade fish. I also saw Japanese beers and liquors. Meals made to order start at 11:00 am. They make sushi, noodle and rice dishes. We picked up several bento style boxes to share. There are a number of cafe tables inside and outside to eat after you purchase your food. We ate inside. There is a convenient microwave to warm-up prepackaged cold foods. The gyoza were filled with pork and bits of cabbage. The gyoza disappeared quickly. Emi ten Tomagoto ji pre (shrimp tempura over rice) was our favorite dish. The rice was cooked with eggs and onion and just delicious. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. I would definitely order this again. The spicy bomb inari was filled with strips of meat and a spicy sauce. The only complain was that the wrapper was soggy from sitting in the deli case. I can't wait to back to try a udon bowl. The food is fresh and delicious. There is plenty of parking in their share lot.

You definitely have to look and pay attention when finding the house because it is easy to miss off of Bash St. It is a small house that does not have a lot of seating, so you would definitely need to come right when they open to get a seat for lunch. The sushi is amazing from what my friends told me. I ordered the Yui Ramen which came with soup or salad. I chose the miso soup which was very good and perfect on a fall cold day. The Yui Ramen dish was incredible!! The flavors of the pork and noodles blended very well together. The texture of the noodles was perfect as well. The service is nice and I could tell that it is a family owned establishment. Ichiban Noodles is definitely one of the best sushi and ramen places in Indy that I have visited. No matter what you order from the menu, it is guaranteed to be phenomenal. You definitely need to treat yourself to some sushi or ramen here at Ichiban Noodles. It is fantastic!!
