I was visiting from out of state and was overdue for a maintenance alignment and we saw this location in a shopping center we were visiting. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to get an adjustment in so I walked in and was greeted with some great service. The wait wasn't long at all. I had to pleasure to be adjusted by Dr. Fish. I've been to a lot of chiropractors and have had minimal care done and a few that go above and beyond. Dr. Fish hits you with everything but the kitchen sink! I felt instant relief after I was done. I've had back problems on and off for over 25 years. I've seen A LOT of chiropractors in my life. Some are good, some are ok. Dr. Shah is one of the great ones. She listens, she offers suggestions on improvements and her adjustments feel fantastic. I had severe pain this last time and after only 2 adjustments with her I'm able to stand upright and walk like a normal human being. I even had a wrist issue and it went completely away after two sessions. She is definitely at the top of my list. I look forward to seeing her and getting some of her expertise. Overall a very good place to get an adjustment. Pros & cons if you have had chiropractic care previously.... If you have had previous chiropractic care, you may be used to a regular medical office style vist, private exam room, maybe xrays initially, maybe various pre adjustment treatments such as warming the area with heatpacks or heatlamps, maybe TENS units, etc. The Joint does not do any of this in my experience. They do offer a professional chiropractor, in various locations that were much more convenient for me than those listed in my health plan directory. The DC did a brief intake assessment and then got right to work on the adjustment. Multiple tables in the room so you may be having conversations with the practitioner with others present and may be adjusted with others present. No appointments, all walk in. Waits seem to be very short (less than 5 minutes usually) and they get right to the adjustment and your done in about 5 minutes. If you get a package, the office visits are relatively inexpensive and with the package are actually the same price as my insurance copay. If your just looking for quick, convenient adjustments, this is a great place. If youre looking for a full service medical office visit experience, definitely not. So far, Im very happy with the services and convenience provided. read more

I've been coming to this location for a while now due to neck issues, the front desk team has always been empathetic and genuine. The team of Drs. have always listened and addressed exactly my issue. This past weekend I did a 12 hour road trip, at the end of the trip my lower back was killing me. It wasn't until the day after my back seized up and I had to crawl on all fours just to get around, the pain was unbelievable. Luckily today I came in and Dr. Jimmy Pierce was on duty. Not only did he do a few adjustments but also some stretches. Today is the first day I've been able to stand straight up. Dr. Pierce also gave me a couple of stretches to do at home. We have been to the joint several times over the course of the last four years. We went in tonight for an adjustment and the adjustment took less than a minute. I appreciate the quickness, but this place now feels more like an assembly line and less focused on the individuality of the patient. The two patients ahead of us took less than a minute each. When your spending $40 dollars a pop, that's ridiculous. Comes out to about .66 cents a second... we will go find a place more interested in providing individual care that focuses on focused problems. read more

AMAZING! It was mine and my husband's first time going to a chiropractor and this was definitely the best place for us to go to. About a month ago, I went in to get more information and spoke with Brook (who also helped us out today), and then briefly met Dr. Jimmy as he was on his way out. Brook was very friendly and went into great detail about their services and the chiropractors at their location, despite the fact that it was 15 minutes after closing. This definitely left a great impression on me, so I scheduled an appointment for my husband and I to go in and get adjusted by Dr. Jimmy. He was very informative, which was key for us since we were new and nervous. He checked the alignment of our legs and arms and then adjusted us accordingly. On top of his 30+ years of experience, he was also very easy to talk to and funny which made our visit all the more incredible. We will be back soon! read more

Recently I did develop a kink in my neck due to work activities. I work 12 hour days in front of 2 monitor screens so my neck gets stiff from time to time. I was coming to the joint for several months to get the curve back in my neck, and to help with migraines, neck, shoulder and lower back pain. It helped me immensely. Especially with the migraines subsiding. I got a new job and stopped going on a regular basis. I regret that as the migraines and back pain have come back. Which has brought me back here for relief. Beware of credit card charges without any consent. I had already paid for the month of June ($39 for my teen) and while in for my teen's visit I filled out the cancellation form so that would mean only two months left of service/payments. That I'm okay with. So one would think all good? Nope! This Joint Chiropractic location charges me an addition $59.00 for the month of June. Not even sure where the fee of $59 came from when the account is for my teen who is a minor. Update; this particular location apologized for the accidental charge and refunded the amount back to me. read more

We've visited Dr Nelson at The Joint periodically over the last 3 years and he has always taken amazing care of our whole family! From my husbands back, to helping get my body back into alignment after giving birth twice. Our second baby has struggled with reflux, colic, constipation, and not sleeping. On one of my visits as I told Dr Nelson about these difficulties and he asked if he could adjust the baby. He is extremely gentle with our baby and his work helped TREMENDOUSLY. After a few regular visits our baby has regular bowel movements, his reflux has improved tremendously, and his colic has disappeared. Our baby who once cried 24/7 now smiles all the time. Truly Life Changing! I am a mid-30s combat veteran who deals with the VA constantly. The VA simply wants to blame everything on either my weight or they want to shove pills down my throat for pain management. They do not listen to anything I say or how I say it when I want to discuss my physical pain. I decided one day after yet another day of constant pain at my desk at work to go to a chiropractor. My wife looked around and we came across The Joint and Dr. Nelson, in the last month, my entire life has changed for the better. As I entered my initial consultation I was apprehensive as I have an inherent distrust of doctors due to past experiences with the VA, but that changed after spending about 45 minutes with Dr. Nelson. He sat me down and listened to how my pain impacted my life as an actual human being. Then after that, we went through what it meant to be adjusted and how this can potentially help my pain with time. We also discussed the spine and its impact throughout the body in terms of pain. He wanted me to understand exactly what I was getting into. This experience changed my perspective. It was not just a patient/doctor connection, it was a human connection that I needed. I'm 8 months pregnant and I've been seeing The Joint doctors on 7th Ave and McDowell for migraines/tense neck & shoulders/pain in my hips/wrist pain. Since seeing them once a week for 3 months, my migraines have gone completely, and I've been pretty much pain free. I wasn't able to get over there this week and I was by 24th St and Baseline today making some returns to Target, and I saw The Joint and decided to stop in. It's my last month of pregnancy, and I've been more tense than ever, so I was really looking forward to getting adjusted. The doctor that was there today was horrible. Granted, he said he's just filling in for the regular doctor, but I left upset. Dr. Thomas used a handheld clicker thing around my spine 3x, then stretched each leg across body. He made me uncomfortable because he insisted on laying me down himself on each side, even though I'm fully capable of laying myself down. He wanted me to put my entire bodyweight into his hand (that was holding my head) to lower me down, and it was very awkward. That was the entire session, a clicker and a leg stretch, because he wanted to be "safe." During the session, he also told me to make sure to get an episiotomy during birth so that I don't "bust everything" and to let my OB-GYN know beforehand that I wanted one. He told me to take my prenatals daily and stay away from Aspirin so that I don't "bleed out" since they're a blood thinner. I've never had the 4 doctors that I've seen from the other location refuse to adjust me. This guy just didn't know what he was doing and strayed into territory that he should have stayed away from. I felt like telling him that he's not an OB so stop giving me doctoral advice about my pregnancy, especially about suggesting I get an episiotomy. I left upset because I pay for 4 sessions per month on the plan and this BS took one of my sessions away. I'm scared that skipping a real chiropractic session will let my neck/shoulder stress and migraines come back, s it was so bad beforehand and I've been extremely careful to go every week. Hopefully the regular doctor is better than this guy was, but I'm not going back to find out, because today was a complete waste of money and energy. *Update* I got a call from Brandon, the 24th St manager, and we talked about my experience. He assured me that Dr Thomas was just a fill-in and that they'd already spoken about my review. Not only did he offer me a session to make up for my bad experience, he also contacted my regular office to make sure they'd honor the extra session. Good customer service, for sure. The front desk receptionist is not knowledgeable at all about fees associated with membership. I went in and was given inaccurate/partial information regarding what I would be charged. She told me that I could cancel my membership at any time as long as I canceled 48 hours in advance. When i went in to cancel she just had me fill out the paperwork and said nothing else. She waited until after I left the location to then call me and tell me I would still be charged for another month since there's a a minimum of 2 months on memberships. She never informed me of that at time of accepting the membership, in fact she told me the complete opposite. So frustrating to be given inaccurate information and feel taken advantage of. read more
