Normally I don't write reviews on places but this place takes the cake! They gave me the active duty military option for $29 a month but charged me $69. When I moved they didn't have a location where I moved to so I cancelled my membership. Four months later I am still getting charged and their website doesn't have a help option to file complaints or ask for reimbursement. A friend suggested after my daughter got a jaw playground injury that was lasting for a few days that I consider chiropractic care. I always think of spinal with chiro, not necessarily jaw care. This beautiful friend also suggested I try the Joint, Dr Dana to be specific. We were not disappointed. We waited for about 10 minutes after I finished the initial paperwork. (Oh all the questions) we brought a book and didn't even notice the time. Dr Dana didn't rush and let us ask endless questions. She was gentle and kind to my daughter who was new to chiro care. My daughter left without pain in her face and neck( 2 day head ache was the opposite ) So thankful for a great experience with Dr Dana and the staff at Joint. The experience was expedient and less expensive than I expected. $29 intro special. If you want a monthly plan ( up to 4 visits) you can try that for $40, price for one visit. Went today for a much needed adjustment.. least to say I have very high standards for my chiropractic needs because of my spine issues. I was not pleased at how rushed the man was and didn't seem to take my issues to heart. Also, I went in for the $29 initial visit today and asked girl at front desk (won't say name) if military discount was offered and she said yes, proceeded to ask for my ID, and told me the total would be $19. She said $19 when you're ready, handed her my card and she swiped it for $29 and handed me the receipt all folded so I wouldn't see. Didn't check until I got home and saw my bank statement. Pretty disappointed at both ends of the place and won't be returning. read more

Staff was friendly and it was cheap but less than 8 hours later I'm having the same unbearable pain in my hips again. My normal chiropractor in Oregon would adjust me and give me some stretches to keep my hips in place and I'd be in tip top shape for a whole year. These adjustments at the Joint were done on a broken chiropractic bed and I wasn't given any tips or even a diagnosis as to why I was in so much pain, they just kind of popped my bones and sent me on my way. Anyone can just pop my lower back and call it good so why would I go and pay money for it only to have the same issues again. Now Again, go to an actual chiropractic office if you're in real pain and need issues fixed. If you want someone to pop your back with no fix go here. read more

Ive recently started going here, and I love everything about it. My hip pain has gotten better and I no longer have tension headaches. I never thought it was possible to not have to take medication every day for my headaches. It's well worth it. The staff is so friendly and professionally. Every thing is clean and quiet. Oh boy where do I start. I lost my chiropractor I had been seeing for years. I woke up and had a kink in my neck. I couldn't turn my head to the side at all. And wouldn't you know it was Sunday. I found the joint was open Sunday. Walking in place looked amazing. And the front desk clerk was super friendly and knowledgeable. How can I go wrong. So I filled out the paperwork. Watched a video. And then saw the dr, and then it went down hill fast. He asked a couple of questions. No big deal. Asked me how I like to be adjusted. Then asked me to lay on my stomach. Then my side ok. He tried to adjust my hip. Nothing. Roll over to do other hip. Nothing. Really??? I've seen a chiropractor for almost 30 yrs, never had trouble adjusting. Then he had me roll over to back. Rubbed my neck and tried to adjust it. Nothing!! I can usually adjust my next by myself. Then he had me sit up. Asked it he had taken care of problem. What?? No! So he tried it all over again. What?? Told front clerk it was worst experience ever. She gave me a coupon to come back. Are you kidding me. She said all the dr are different. Wish I had read the reviews first. read more

I am a regular at the Joint Chiropractic and decided to try this location since its closer to where I live... First time I went there, I wasn't satisfied with my adjustment, felt nothing and Dr Coppola also seemed high. Yes i mean high as in smoking pot high. Second time I went in, THERE WAS NO DOCTOR THERE, receptionist asked if I could come back in 3 hours. I was pissed..I tried one more time 2 days later and Dr. Coppola was in and again.... Smelling like pot! I don't think it is professional and appropriate for the Dr to be smelling like pot and also high as a kite! I think the owner should consider replacing this doctor with someone else. As of this result i will continue to drive 40 mins away to another location because of this! I wouldn't consider this location at all but this is not a review for ALL Joint locations! read more

Bill, The way you offered the refund was "I could give you all your money back but that won't make you happy so why should I?" Hardly a professional way to act. Although you can surly try to make it seem like you did your best by leaving that comment on yelp. Besides, the money wasn't the issue at all. We would have continued to be members and at least given it another shot had you not been a complete a-hole to my wife on the phone and run your business in a professional manner (maybe call in the other chiropractor when one is sick, let customers know ahead of time when lunch breaks are, not lie about your role in the business). The same company that started your franchise is the same one that started Massage Envy, which makes complete sense given the reviews I've read about people paying ahead of time for services that are difficult to get. What would have made us happy would have been to get the service we paid for and not be given attitude by you and the other receptionist. Those aren't unreasonable expectations. read more

I was slightly thrown off by the walk in style of this practice, when I went in on a SUNDAY(which is huge for me as it's my first day off and the only day my husband is home) it was jam backed an hour after opening. I put my name on the list and was told the wait was an hour no big I ran errands came back and was promptly seen by Dr. Dana. I was in terrible pain we talked a little about my lifestyle and prior injuries. She got me adjusted and I was well on my way my only complaint is that I was so sore and typically this is alleviated by spray some cool spray which was never done, I'm not sure if this office just doesn't utilize such products but it really makes a difference in my opinion. Can't beat the pricing, and the service however so I will be back and I recommend it to anyone who is testing the waters of chiropractic care. read more

Research is vital, and I didn't because I was in a lot of pain not having been adjusted in a while. So here are my experiences at the Joint. I needed help and instead... -Receptionists have always been friendly and professional, but a bit timid. Maybe because they have to handle so many complaints, and be very hush-hush about information of owners and doctors. -Numerous times no doctor on staff, or doors closed. I come from Vista without appointment, because the company claims that I don't need one. How can one receive care on a regular basis, like the 4 adjustments (no roll-overs) I paid for the month?! -Dr. Laura Ragazzo, wonderful attitude, very professional, and even called her regulars to let us know that the place was going to close down early on her scheduled day. She will no longer be at that location next month. -Dr. Mike Coppola, very good at the care he gives, maybe because he used many different techniques. I can see the part about being high. He left. -Dr. Bruce Brisacher.... pervert! He kept digging the activator into my skin to the point of pain, saying that's the only way it works. It seemed as though he was enjoying it. When I complaint, he caught an attitude. The second time I ended up with him, he held me real tight around my shoulders, dug the activator deep into my neck, while whispering into my ear "don't be afraid, it won't hurt...don't be afraid, it won't hurt". I was done then! You couldn't question him about his method, he would get upset. He said "if you really want me to help you, come see me in Encinitas". He also didn't shake my hand normal, he gave the extra touch (you women know what that feels like). -Dr. Randy Cafferty, called me a "smart ass" in a prior conversation, maybe he thought it was funny. The next time I ended up with him, he greeted me like a long lost friend, and asked to give me a hug at the end. He did not simply stop at my "No", but still held his arms open saying "c'mon". His adjustments did nothing for me, please don't yank ones neck if you don't know what you're doing, I was in pain several days. -Regional manager Maxim offered me one free month for my troubles with no doctors on staff, but he needed several messages from me before even responding to my complaint about Dr. Brisacher. When he finally called I am not sure how sincere he was. I had to pull the information from him as to what steps he took. Said he was investigating it first, doctor said it didn't happen, he put him on 30 day probation. No response to my complaint about Dr. Cafferty. -I don't know where they get these doctors from, I could only find info on Ragazzo and Coppola. For those doctors to have been in the field for so long, you would think you find some info. -Most women will not complain when a doctor has been inappropriate, they just don't return...that's how these guys can continue. -With the constant change in doctors, a patient will be unable to establish any trust, and that is the number one thing for a good doctor/patient relationship and therefor healing. I've been in good chiropractic care to know what bad one looks like, this one is bad. read more

I came in to sign up and they have a sign saying they don't have anyone working who can process new patients, but if we still want to sign up, we can drive to their location in San Marcos instead. I usually go to the Point Loma location but because I was up here for the day and really needed my back adjusted I tried this location. I regret it the doctor didn't do anything. He said he was going to stretch first but he never actually adjusted anything. And I can stretch better and more than he even attempted. I'm annoyed that I wasted a session at this location. read more

The doctors here are great. I've seen 3 different ones and they all have different techniques and ways in adjusting your spine. Nevertheless, all effective and provides the necessary relief. I have two family members who come here also and are quite happy with their results. read more

If I am rating this in regards to Dr Dana-please let me say she is absolutely amazing! And the reason I come back repeatedly here. She deserves 10 stars! I have only super positive comments to share about Dr Dana. What I am not fond of is the receptionist that they have working there now. (July 5th 2018) If I could list 0 stars for her I would. I'm not one to complain but this woman is extremely rude and hung up on me when I called today. And was rude to my husband when he called. I tried calling back multiple times after that and she wouldn't even answer the phone. It's like I'm dealing with a child. She's been rude to my husband and myself before so I am finally going to do something about it today. When I went onto Yelp I see this receptionist has hung up on other people before as well! This type of attitude is unprofessional and is inappropriate in the service industry. We both are regulars who see Dr Dana and were going to come see her today but didn't because of the rude behavior. It is very unfortunate for DR Dana bc she does a phenomenal job. She needs a team that works as hard as she does to give people a pleasant experience. I will be cancelling my membership until they a decent receptionist back in the office. It happened again in Oceanside. We arrived at 1 PM yesterday, Sunday. Michelle the receptionist finally came to the counter and said she was on a bathroom break. This weekend was the 3rd time my family has been turned away when arriving an hour before closing. Michelle up front told us that the doctor had to be somewhere at two so the doctor was unable to see all 4 people from my family this past Saturday. She said there two people ahead of us? My experience is it takes about 5 minutes to adjust each one of us. When I asked if the doctor could please just see my two kids, Michelle refused to ask the doctor. She said the doctor could only take one more patient. That I had to choose which one of us would be seen. We left in disgust. So much for no appointment being a good concept. Dr. Gale was awesome! I told her I was in pain so she wanted to use the pen adjustment and I told her whatever you need to do medically to relieve my pain please put the pen away and be aggressive as need be. She understood and immediately went to work and the relief was almost instant, she did use the pen adjustment at the end but the straight adjustments and information on stretching was very helpful. She didn't even have to touch me to start telling me what was wrong. I don't care for sugar coating Bullshit so I appreciated her to the point blatant explanations. I went here yesterday (someone referred me) to get a pain in my neck and right shoulder taken care of. I met with Dr. Dana and she is just the sweetest person I have ever met. She was very intent in listening to my past bone issues and writing everything down. She has a soft touch but at the same time just amount of pressure needed to take care of the issues I had. It has been at least 2 years since I have been to a chiropractor and you can tell by the amount of bones that cracked yesterday. I felt soooo much better when I left and I still feel great today. The doctors are fine, but barely spend any time trying to adjust difficult spots (other joint locations are much better). More importantly, I've been turned away three times now from this location because of lunch, closing, etc.....before or at their posted final check in. Frustrating, to say the least. read more

Dr. Dana is amazing! She takes the time to feel out where the issues are and gets them! I've had many doctors not be able to get my neck, but she does every time. I wasn't impressed when I first visited & had a different doctor, but I'm glad I gave them a second chance and met with her. Now Dr. Dana is there full time, Sunday - Thursday and I'm a regular patient! It's not all the bells & whistles chiropractic with massage chairs & tends machines, but it's still great care! I recently switched from my previous chiropractor due to a more convenient location and hours. My first appointment went great; excellent customer service, ease in signing up for an ongoing plan, great adjustment, etc. However, since then I have tried to come back on three separate occasions over the course of 2&1/2 weeks, all with no luck. Apparently I was supposed to be given a keychain when I signed up which I wasn't so no one can find me in the system. Every time I have come there is no one working at the front desk which means a long wait just to be told that I can't be checked in and I am turned away. I thought maybe it was just this location so I drove out to the one in San Marcos where again there was no receptionist and the Dr (an older Indian gentleman) asked for my key card, I explained that I wasn't given one and he literally just walked away from me. So I guess I can't come back here due to default? I'm not sure why this is so difficult. read more
