After three months with no improvement--and after trying everything from YouTube massages and facial exercises to multiple visits with neurologists who told me to simply "wait and heal". I was desperate for progress. Skeptical but hopeful, I turned to acupuncture. During my initial consultation, Henry took the time to explain his treatment plan in detail, including his experience treating other patients with Bell's Palsy. His confidence and knowledge gave me the reassurance I needed, and I committed to a 10-session plan. While I didn't notice major changes in the first few sessions, my family began to see subtle improvements after the third. Personally, I began noticing real progress around the fifth session. By the end of my first 10 sessions about five weeks in--I'd say I was roughly 50% recovered. Encouraged by the results, I signed up for another 10 sessions. Today, I completed my 20th session, and I'm thrilled to say I'm about 80% recovered. At this point, only I can tell that I ever had Bell's Palsy. I can't speak highly enough of Henry and his team. They are professional, compassionate, flexible with scheduling, and truly attentive to individual needs. Henry not only focused on my Bell's Palsy but also addressed other injuries I sustained in the accident. The environment he's created is calm and restorative. I often used the sessions as a chance to take much-needed afternoon naps. Acupuncture with Henry has been a transformative part of my recovery journey. I'm beyond grateful.

From typical pharmaceutical treatments to Botox and nothing seems to work now that I'm in my early 50s. My dentist recommended Dr. Wendy Zhang without hesitation, and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Zhang first listened to me, very patently, she then moved me to one of the rooms where she started putting needles where she thought necessary, then added some electricity to the needles while my head was comfortably resting on two pillows and my legs were resting on one. Some sort of radiator lamp was placed on top of the middle of my body and I was left alone in the room, feeling warm, but good, and being able to relax. Dr. Wendy Zhang works wonders in her office. One appointment was enough for me to see the difference, and start feeling better. I already had the 2nd appointment, and the 3rd one is already scheduled. My migraines are pretty much gone, and I'm taking my mom to Dr. Zhang for other issues. I highly recommend Dr. Wendy Zhang, she is extremely knowledgeable and will most definitely help you. Entering her office is both positive and relaxing.

I'm very disappointed with this location now. I've been going since 2020. I have a number of…read moreorthopedic issues including my cervical and lumbar spine, knees, shoulders, and other joints. I don't like my interactions with Dr. West. I do not think I have been treated with the care and compassion I deserve. Dr. West has made several dismissive and invalidating remarks during my visits. He seems annoyed and frustrated when I arrive and asks each time I come what's going on. Now, they have X-rays, charts, and other documentation regarding my injuries. He says this as if he has no idea what my problem are. When I tell him the areas that are bothering me, which typically are the same every visit, he seems annoyed. He asks if I'm making changes at work and doing my exercises. To which I reply. But the questions are more judgmental than inquisitive, because when I give him specific details he hardly ever remembers. His tone is condescending and passive aggressive. For instance, in 2022, during one of our first visits, I was having shoulder pain. I have shoulder injuries. When I told him he told me "you need to put some ice on it!" in a very short and dismissive way as if I was a child. I did not deserve that. Also, what he did not know, is that I have multiple tears in my rotator cuff, and a Slap tear and other issues due to being a volleyball player. He had no idea what the actual condition of my shoulder was. Ice alone was not going to fix my shoulder pain, instead I went to my orthopedic surgeon and completed physical therapy. This is just one of many examples where he said something dismissive, despite not having all the facts and assuming I am not doing anything to help myself. Finally, I had to explain to him that his remarks are not ok and that I'm doing the best I can with the time I have. I explained that I do rehab for my various body parts nearly every day, but I still cannot get to each area. Rehabbing my body is like a part-time job at this point. Also, I explained that the reason why I come to get adjusted every two weeks is to manage my health as much as possible, but not to be made fully whole as this is not reasonable for me. However, he was still annoyed. It seems like he was trying to convince me to stop coming for adjustments because he did not like the lack of progress. This is not his decision to make, but mine. It is wrong to try to force me to think a certain way because he is annoyed. My various conditions are treatable, but not necessarily reversible. Some of my issues are due to specific genetic and anatomical issues. To top it off, when I explained to him my plans after speaking to my orthopedic surgeon recently, he dismissed what the surgeon said and instead argued with me about having a neck curve. Again, not an appropriate thing to say and further proof that he seems to think that I am not worthy of compassion. Moreover, the doctor actually looked at my current X rays, wherein Dr. West has not seen an x ray of my neck since I started. I do not think his behavior is professional and I'm disappointed that this kind of treatment is tolerated. Update: I spoke to the owner, and I appreciate him speaking to me. However, he spent more time invalidating my experiences instead of listening. He said Dr.West is from the East Coast and that's why he comes across the way he does. He asked me if I'm from Houston. I've lived all over. I'm from Houston but I haven't lived here in an awhile. My job is based in DC. Being from the east coast is not a reason to be rude. Cutting me off and telling me that I didn't see what I saw is not ok. He said he's just trying to get an understanding of my goals. I told him what my goals were, and I explained that when I first started seeing them. I have no problem explaining my goals. But explaining your goals and where you are doesn't matter if no one is listening. By far the worst chiropractic experience I've ever had. No I would not recommend this place.

I took some time to try to find another chiropractor in the area after moving from the suburbs and…read morefollowed Core Chiropractic since they were approved by my insurance. Was able to make a same day appointment quickly which should have been my first red flag, but gave it a try. As a previous reviewer mentioned, they completed an exam and lots of xrays. Initially I was overcharged to my copay which I asked the doctor about to which she referred me to the front desk. After all the X-rays and exam, I was set up for an appointment for the next day. Before leaving, I was asked to fill out an assessment for insurance which I have never done at previous chiropractors. I had some concerns with the insurance and contacted my carrier after I got home and I was covered for 20 sessions a year, so I thought great, haven't used any for this year so I should be good. Fast forward to the next day and I arrive for my first treatment and to receive my treatment plan. I was met by the doctor with X-rays which she was thorough in explaining and that my treatments would cost close to $2,000 over the course of 8 or 9 weeks. The costs included lots of "machines" which aren't covered by insurance and in my opinion don't do the same as chiropractor using all forms of treatment in a treatment room. I was set up on two machines by a front desk worker which was odd in my opinion. One machine was quite painful in my lower back where I had shared with the team that I had fusion in 2019. I should have never been put into treatment that would impact that area of my spine. My appointments were made for me and I received a text from the office. I replied and stated that I had some concerns and would not be returning. They stated that my office visits were limited by insurance, which I called again and all 20 were approved and that if I needed more that Dr. West would request them, which I have never met or have any clue who this is. Overall atmosphere is good, but be prepared to be used as a cash cow. Needless to say, haven't and won't be back.

The ambiance of the waiting room is very calming and I love their decor. They have soft spa music playing and a tea station. One of the staff members took me into a room to do a few intake tests. I changed into a gown and she provided privacy while I did so. She tested my back with these probes to see where I had inflammation and did a stress response test. Then I was taken to another exam room to see Dr. Burk. She is very energetic and explains things well in detail. She asked me a few background questions first about my medical history, any past injuries and previous chiropractic history. I showed her a few reports of prior imaging that I've had done before. After that we did my adjustments and she explained along the way what she saw and what the treatment was that she was doing. She accommodated my belly with a special pillow so that I could lie flat face down for my back adjustment and protect baby. She used a certain equipment that let her adjust my spine without putting that much pressure. My primary reason for coming was to have better hip alignment to prepare me for delivery in a few months. Overall I really enjoyed my first visit here. I'll have to see how my body adjustments do to say how often I will come. They do not take insurance, so everything is self-pay but it was worth it. The first exam is always going to be the most expensive and the subsequent visits will be a little cheaper. They do offer prenatal massages here as well, but IMO a little too pricey.

I called to reschedule my appointment from the 7th and the appointments that I had scheduled the following week for the week of the 18th and the 25th every Tuesday and Thursday. Fast forward I had to reschedule my flight from the 17th to the 19th of December due to the same family emergency and completely forgot to call on Monday to reschedule my appointment on the 19th. I admit it was the last thing on my mind and only remembered mid flight on Tuesday. Today I was running late for my appointment but on my way when I realized I was not going to make it by 8.15. I called at 8.09 saying that I was running late but most likely not going to make it in 4 minutes. I was more than happy to forgo the 15/20 mts that I was late if they would still have me or I could come in later. No one picked up and I left a voice mail message. Get a message a couple of minutes later saying all my appointments were cancelled and had to call on the day for Availability. I called again and explained that I just tried to call to let them know I was running late but on my way and that I left a voicemail message and I was faced with a rude front of house staff that insinuated that he was there all morning and didn't get any phone call or voice mail message and proceeded to tell me I had a cancellation on the 7th (I rescheduled didn't cancel) and a no show on the 19th and today that's why all appointments were canceled and proceeded to give me attitude when I tried to explain what the situation was, which only left me more aggravated and frustrated than I already was. My deductible has been met this year and all my appointments are fully covered so I was trying to do my best to still make it to my appointments since next year I will have to pay for these sessions . The arrogance and attitude that I got this morning made me want to forgo all my appointments. I will find another clinic next year, for my PT and will gladly pay. Bare in mind that I'm a returning patient that has been to the clinic before without any issues. This is not a reflection on my therapist that was wonderful but a sad consequence of a misunderstanding and how poor customer service impacts patients.
