If you prefer to get your rehab in and work it and be out, this is the place for you! I'm a younger / active person that found the other rehab place I was going to a bit too conservative for my taste. I felt the exercises were too easy for where I was at vs. what was "protocol". I liked that Crom felt like a hip gym rather than a geriatric facility. The way they train is fantastic & stands out amongst the competitors. I always had Gabby, Tyler and Amanda work on me together in tandem. I'd come in, was always taken back promptly and they would all 3 take turns working on me and tell me what to do next. This system of "group training" vs. one trainer split about 2-3 patients is way better. I never found myself just "sitting" and "waiting on what to do next". They have a great, positive attitude. I think it really helped keep me motivated and for me to try my best every time. I also enjoyed chatting with the other people training around me and having some good laughs. Dr. Roy was great to work with and he is clearly very knowledgeable and has a friendly demeanor. You won't go wrong coming here! read more

I'm a returning patient and never had issues with this PT facility until today. I had to fly to Europe due to a family emergency on the 7th and scheduled my flight last minute on the 6th. I called to reschedule my appointment from the 7th and the appointments that I had scheduled the following week for the week of the 18th and the 25th every Tuesday and Thursday. Fast forward I had to reschedule my flight from the 17th to the 19th of December due to the same family emergency and completely forgot to call on Monday to reschedule my appointment on the 19th. I admit it was the last thing on my mind and only remembered mid flight on Tuesday. Today I was running late for my appointment but on my way when I realized I was not going to make it by 8.15. I called at 8.09 saying that I was running late but most likely not going to make it in 4 minutes. I was more than happy to forgo the 15/20 mts that I was late if they would still have me or I could come in later. No one picked up and I left a voice mail message. Get a message a couple of minutes later saying all my appointments were cancelled and had to call on the day for Availability. I called again and explained that I just tried to call to let them know I was running late but on my way and that I left a voicemail message and I was faced with a rude front of house staff that insinuated that he was there all morning and didn't get any phone call or voice mail message and proceeded to tell me I had a cancellation on the 7th (I rescheduled didn't cancel) and a no show on the 19th and today that's why all appointments were canceled and proceeded to give me attitude when I tried to explain what the situation was, which only left me more aggravated and frustrated than I already was. My deductible has been met this year and all my appointments are fully covered so I was trying to do my best to still make it to my appointments since next year I will have to pay for these sessions . The arrogance and attitude that I got this morning made me want to forgo all my appointments. I will find another clinic next year, for my PT and will gladly pay. Bare in mind that I'm a returning patient that has been to the clinic before without any issues. This is not a reflection on my therapist that was wonderful but a sad consequence of a misunderstanding and how poor customer service impacts patients. read more

They are positive and upbeat, starting with Tony who greets you at the front door. He is good natured and helpful while staying on top of scheduling appointments each week. The positive experience continues with Jon, Chris, and Megan as the work begins. All three are knowledgeable, encouraging, and incredibly patient, and I never felt they were tired of my questions. They had good back-up exercises when needed. I knew Roy from five years ago when he worked with me after surgery. I got to see him some when I went for therapy this time, and that was always a treat. I would not recommend this physical therapy location. I have unfortunately torn my ACL 3x, so the rehab process is a bit familiar to me. I have an idea of what to expect from good and bad PT places. I decided to give Crom a try because the location was close to where I live, and I saw a decent rating. However, this location does jot challenge you to get better and goes straight by the books versus adjusting it to the individual. I was told that I would have the same home exercises until 10 visits which is ~5weeks (2sessions per week). This is ridiculous! PT places will almost always give small adjustments at least every 2 weeks minimum if not more! The people there also don't seem to care very much and have no passion for their job. My doctor recommended Crom for aqua therapy, because of my severe arthritis. I am dealing with chronic pain and major mobility issues. There are a lot of positive adjectives that I could use to describe Crom Rehab, but kindness is the one that comes to mind first. The professional attitude and expertise of all the workers is exceptional. The owner is skilled at hiring the right people! The employees seem happy. Appointments run on time. The open space with tall ceilings, natural light , and a large artistic hanging fan help create a comforting atmosphere. The facilities and equipment is clean. I got pretty injured here; I think if you have something minor then maybe they are ok. But I've gone to different time periods and never got better, and the second time they worked me too hard and was seriously injured. I don't think everyone there is a certified PT and it's just basic repetitive stretches. If you have anything complicated, like I do with a severe herniated disk in my back, go to a medical physical therapy facility. I'm at Fondren Orthopedic and it's a night and day difference! I'm in water therapy there too and wow is it helping. That staff is super knowledgeable and it's attached to a medical practice and hospital in the same building. I am so happy with my results and staff at Crōm Rehab !! I had an arthritis flare up that gave me some issues in my wrist. Needed to get some PT to get my wrist back to normal! But because of my medication that lowers my immune system ( and Covid being around ) I was hesitant to go to any PT office. Crōm offered telehealth consults and was able to do my therapy with them. Dr. Ernie made sure I was in true form for the exercises they strategically planned out for me. I was able to also use house hold items to do exsercises with their supervision online. Dr. Roy and his team are amazing at what they do. I've struggled with pain in my lower back for years due to a disc herniation. When I finally got around to physical therapy, it was because the pain had finally become too much, all the time. From start to finish, the folks at Crom Rehab were very attentive, reassuring and positive throughout the entire therapy process. Aside from my sessions at Crom, I got a personalized at-home routine which I made sure to follow. The pain has become so much more manageable since then (and it's really only been a month!) I had an amazing experience at Crom Rehab! After reading their many excellent reviews, I decided to have an evaluation done for my core and back issues after having twins. They take insurance and have an easy scheduling process which are both priorities for me. Dr. Rivera's clinic almost has a communal gym feel and I really enjoyed going to my appointments. The two PT assistants I worked with, Amanda and Tyler were helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive and I could see significant progress from week to week. I was impressed by their website and the comprehensiveness of the information requested that I assume would help them in preparation for my first visit. When I arrived at the office - it was closed! With a lower back injury and diagnosis of L5 annular disc tear of 4 mm, my orthopedic doctor told me 80/20... 80% surgery and 20% not. I was walking with a limp and can't stand up straight. Thus, finding a place that know how to treat this type of injury was critical, as this was my second physical therapy place I have tried. I just cannot express how grateful I am to find Crom! Really enjoy coming here. Physical therapy is generally a pain, but Dr. Roy, Sue, Tyler and Aira really care about their patients. You're given tough love, but everyone is very knowledgeable as well about what you need to do and how you can continue to get better. I had spent five weeks in PT with another place and was released, however, I was still unable to run, bike and would be in pain if I stood for a while. After talking with my doctor he told me I should return to PT and suggested Crom. My experience was great. I worked with several staff members and always had a good experience. They worked with me on strength training and got me back to running and biking. I still have a ways to go but this time I feel I am on the right path and have the right tools to continue to improve and get back to where I was. read more

She was very transparent with what my out of pocket costs were going to be. With Covid-19, I appreciated that she gave me a choice of an in office visit or a Telehealth visit. I opted for Telehealth. I wish I could give them extra stars - I absolutely love the team at Crōm! I tore my ACL/partially tore my MCL early this year and did "prehab" before surgery and then full on rehab after surgery. My doctor recommended Crōm and was constantly complimenting my progress post-surgery. The Yelp reviews don't lie! I spent many weeks here recovering and I got to know all of them very well. People normally avoid rehab. I know, I was one of them. If you've ever been through physical therapy, you understand it can be boring and repetitive. So when my primary care physician referred me to Crom to work on the back and neck issues I was having, I went but did so begrudgingly. I knew I needed physical therapy for this pain in my leg but didn't know how or why the pain had developed. I went to see a doctor who diagnosed me with sciatica -- the doctor recommended physical therapy and after having read the reviews about Crom I knew that's where I wanted to go! I met with Dr. Matt for my consultation. He explained that the pain in my leg was likely from my lower back and weak abs, etc. I had no idea that's what it was from but it made perfect! Dr. Matt designed a doable, but challenging program for me. It greatly reduced the pain in my leg. I also appreciated Dr. Matt's advice on my level of physical activity -- he was truly supportive and listened to me as a patient. Hands down one of the best If not the best physical therapy facility in Houston. Dr. Roy has been there since day one back in 2016 when I had my ACL reconstruction surgery and a year later I was back rehabbing my fractured arm.
