I've had a membership since mid-February of this year and have had nothing but a positive experience. I always see Dr. Moore and think he's great. On my most recent visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. P (Peter is what he goes by, but I believe it said Dr. Derrick Yoder on their app). I explained to the doctor that I'd slept on the floor a couple of nights earlier and that my back didn't appreciate that. There was some banter back and forth... he's very personable. He identified the area of concern on my back and got some really good cracks in that relieved all of that pain. I was impressed. He also did some hip adjusting that isn't normally done during visits, but did address an issue that was identified at the initial assessment visit. The neck cracks were epic too. My neck always goes... and loudly, but these were super- crunchy! Idk if it was the length of time since my previous visit or if it was his technique, but I left feeling amazing! My wife and I originally went in for a free visit. I figured we could go have the experience, have our back and neck feel better and maybe not even go back. The Dr that works there is very good at what he does. It's also nice because he seems to genuinely care and ask with each visit if there are any new concerns or anywhere that hurts. I know realized getting your back and neck aligned is an ongoing process. It's also nice that upon entering the receptionist always greets us with a smile and warm welcome. I saw another Chiropractor for many years and reached a point where I just needed maintenance and a place for any flare ups. The Joint has been perfect for this need! I like the flexibility of different plans (monthly, 6 visit package or single visit options) and being able to go to any location. I have just been to the Carmel location so far. They don't do x-rays or extensive, alternative treatments so if you need more extensive care, this may not be for you. I've seen Dr Moore, Dr Olson, and Dr Jason thus far. They have all been very caring and talked me through each step during the adjustment so I felt comfortable. Office staff has been great too! read more

I've been going to a chiropractor for years in a different city. I've also been to several different one before finding out what works with my body. There are a couple of different doctors here, one was absolutely fabulous. He was working on a Saturday and was very through. He even discovered some things about my body I didn't even realize, despite having been to a chiropractor for years. I wish I could remember his name to give him special props. I also wish he didn't work at the joint so that I could find him elsewhere. On the other hand, there's a different chiropractor there more often that is...not so great. He always asks me what's wrong, but it's because he doesn't either know or just won't try to find out what's wrong with my body. I've been to chiropractors before, a lot, but if your patient needs to tell you exactly which vertebrae is out, you're not diagnosing correctly. Last time I was in, he asked and, I said it was something high up in my neck. He didn't check so I said it might be my atlas, it's what the last guy said. He tried to adjust only my atlas and nothing happened. I told him something was out and I didn't know what it was, only that it was something up high near my atlas. If it wasn't that, he'd have to check it out. Like literally touch my neck and feel around. Well, he didn't do that, and instead said there's nothing else up there. I said yes there is. And, my old Chiro never had an issue with it. He said, no there's nothing. I said yes there is. I know my body and if it's doing this is because something is out. He said no. I had to said it three times before suggesting again maybe it was a different vertebrae. Finally, he cracked my C1 or C2 and it fixed what I needed. But, he never actually checked -it was because I suggested it. But man, I'm not a Chiropractor. I'm not even a doctor. I just know if somethings out in my body. So, if I have to tell you exactly what vertebrae, by name and you don't bother checking - somethings wrong about the ability to listen and diagnose. He could tell I was annoyed when I left and told me he was glad I insisted and that he needed time to understand my body. I appreciate at least that. But he didn't start off listening and it's not possible to understand someone's body without checking it. I recognize that at the joint, it's basically about convenience, so I'm giving a star for that. However, people who are looking for a Chiro, be selective in who you go to. They're supposed to check. Needless to say, I've started seeing another Chiro. read more

We visited The Joint recently after my wife sprained her back we were told that didn't require appointments and they didn't have to do x-rays and a lot of other things that chiropractic offices require for an additional cost. So we went ahead with the visit, it was a very painful visit for her but we figured that she was just extremely out of alignment. After we finished with the adjustment came the high pressure sales tactics to get you to by a month of treatments after asking a lot of questions we decided to go ahead and try it out for a month little did we know we were signing a two month minimum contract. My wife went back three more times and the adjustments just got rougher and more painful. One time it was so back she could hardly drive home and had to call to get help just to get in the house. My wife inquired about her dissatisfaction and a desire to cancel and she was informed that was not an option because we signed a two-month contract and the attendant said that they had had aome complaintsabout that docter beingba bit to rough. After that I knew something was wrong when they care more about their contracts than they do about their clients so I called to cancel our monthly membership, first they told me that I couldn't call and cancel because it was my wife she had to call or come in so finally we both went in and demanded a refund that hey kept refusing, and their only reason was that she insisted that she was the one there and she for sure told us about the two month. Regardless we weren't happy with the treatments and wanted a refund finally after some time they refunded us for the unused portion of our membership. I felt it was a little to financially focused and not so much care or treatment focused. read more

YAY! Finally there is a Joint in Carmel! I first fell in love with this convenient form of chiro-service in Tucson a few years back. Basically it's a walk-in for an adjustment set up. No x-rays just an initial consultation and then you come is a little or often as you like depending on your maintaining of wellness. Dr. Smiley (yes seriously) is one of the head chiropractors as this particular joint and was very friendly and thorough during my first visit. He will ask about your body history (i.e. sports, injuries, etc) and assess your back and problem areas before he cracks anything. This type of service is more for maintaining wellness and not for repair after and accident or anything. Please keep that in mind! Great deal where for $49 you can come in 4 times a month! read more

To put it simply, The Joint has changed my life. Troubled by frequent back injuries and pain from minor scoliosis, I used to see a chiropractor at a medical center when I had an issue and they would fix me up costing around $30 per visit after insurance. Expensive and "reactive." The Joint is the opposite of the typical chiropractor. They have cost effective monthly plans (4 visits per month for about$12 per visit), you don't need an appointment and they have an amazing staff. All of those things mean I can be proactive in seeking treatment for a troublesome back. On to the Chiropractor I see most frequently, Dr. Smiley. He is awesome at what he does and truly makes an effort to get to know you and your back/neck issues. He reviews his notes from your last visit, assesses your back and neck then treats the issue appropriately. This is what we have been waiting for. We want competitive healthcare? We want effective treatments? The Joint is a start in achieving modern day Healthcare/Chiropractic. Although not yet perfect, it is a huge start. Let me explain: The Doctors at the Carmel location listen and provide professional feedback. Yes, the patient needs to take some ownership in total treatment. I have C7 and T1 compression. Pain before chiropractic care was about 3 out of 10. Pain after is about 0.5 out of 10 with no medicine. :) The first chiropractic care center, not The Joint, wanted $2,487 for three months. They bill Insurance, I have a huge deductible and co-pay. Total number of adjustment 36 ($70/treatment). I pay most of it. The Joint is around $20/treatment which is $720 for 36 treatments. I want to thank the people who took the risk to develop this business model around affordable and effective Chiropractic care and the professional Doctors at The Joint. The chiropractor on sight was incredibly rude and unprofessional. The building is open with no closed walls or doors, and 3 chiropractor beds in the common area. I was laughing and he came around the corner and shushed me. I normally visit the noblesville location and there is always people talking and laughing. Today was my first time at a chiropractor, so I don't have a ton to compare it to. I had felt my sacrum get out of life while doing a spin class, and was really in a lot of pain.
