Scam operation, had my son sign papers and then claimed he was on a subscription service. Despite his not being back in over six months they have continued to deduct money. He did not know this initially, but upon discovering this immediately called them to cancel. They have given him runaround and claim he cannot cancel without physically entering the business. Sounds like it's time to contact our attorney. Predators. read more

My husband and I were longtime members based out of the Camelback location. When my husband lost one of his key clients (and sources of income), we had to cut back. I called this location to cancel our membership and they sent us the form to cancel. We filled it out and sent it back promptly and were told it was canceled. Many months went by and my husband realized he'd still been getting charged for the membership we were no longer using. We called again and were told that the form only canceled ONE of our memberships, not both (we were on a family plan) DESPITE the original form saying it cancels all family members on the plan. We filled out the form for the second person and were told to contact the manager to discuss the refund for the months we had still been paying. We were denied the refund because of their policy - DESPITE their customer service person not saying we needed a second form AND depite the fact that their form itself says otherwise. TERRIBLE customer service that amounts to a bit of a scam when what the form says conflicts with their own verbal policy. DO NOT RECOMMEND. It's too bad because we might have rejoined once our status improves but now we absolutely will not. read more

front office staff friendly, doctors knowledgeable. great pricing. full body adjustments, clean atmosphere and environment.

I was charge 79.00 for and additional month that I did not sign up for. I was told I would be charged 79.00 for seven visit over the course of one month. I was never told of a second payment for a second month of visits. I filed a claim with my bank after calling Joint Chiropractic and being told I had signed a two month contract. NEVER WAS A SECOND MONTH or PAYMENT mentioned to me at the time of the original transaction. read more

I've gone to The Joint since before they started their franchise model. Within Arizona, I've gone to The Joint locations in Avondale, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Peoria, Phoenix, Tempe, Tucson, and a handful of outside of the state. Dr. Jim is my favorite. He understands my body and knows how to apply forces so that I feel great every time I leave the clinic. In his words, he is in the business of helping people and I am thankful for the help in undoing some of the effects of every day stresses on my back, neck, shoulders, and whatever other things I screw up. There are plenty of good Chiropractors associated with The Joint, but when I call the Camelback location and confirm Dr. Jim Handzel is in, I know I will soon be feeling great! read more

This is my favorite Joint! Dr. Jim is absolutely amazing! I have some nasty back issues and I have seen many other chiropractors who can't get things to move, but he always does. There are a number of people working in this office and they all give great adjustments (Tom is another favorite). I do not live close to here and drive out of my way every week to make sure I get in this location. read more

SCAM!!!!!! The people who wrote a review that it was a scam, was right ! They get you with the first timers deal and add the plan of $79 . They did not mentioned that there was a 2 month agreement, they just give you a tablet that asks you about your health, they expect you to read everything on it, now I see why people read it ! THEY DID NOT MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT the 2 month agreements. I paid for the $79 and new client fee. They catch you with the oh we give you 4 free adjustments. I specifically asked when I first went if i will be able to switch my plan after my first payment, I asked if i can switch in December when my plan ends, and they said yes. I asked multiple times to make sure !!!!! Even the doc said I was able to switch my plan, nothing about after 2 months ! Why charge someone if they don't get the service done ? And the service takes like less than 5min. What am I paying for? You are better off going to a place where they take insurance, a place where they actually care about your health and not just your money. As I've had a better experience for my money through a real chiropractor office. An office where it's one on one and not a open room where you're getting adjusted with other people. Don't get me wrong the doctors are great at what they do but not for the money and time. Don't fall for their kindness, cause that's how they get you for your money! read more

I have scoliosis and this place is a great for affordable weekly adjustments to manage my pain. The Joint offers a plethora of knowledgeable chiropractic doctors to work with: so if you aren't satisfied with one doctor's technique, check out a different Joint location. Please build a clinic in Rochester, MN! read more

Be aware! One of the female chiropractors injured me in June and I'm still seeing other doctors and chiros to fix my hiatal hernia. When I called the front desk receptionist she told me that couldn't happen but it did. I've been adjusted all my life by various chiropractors(not the Joint) and have never been injured before nor left to figure it out by myself. I love chiropractic care but not all chiros are the same. I've found very few really understand the body and in tune with individuals needs. Please be careful! My experience has been very life changing.. read more

The doctors at the Camelback and 16th Street location are fantastic! I always feel taller when I stand up from an adjustment. Pamela is such a delight and always treats people with consideration and respect, as soon as we walk in the door. Dr. Handzel, and Dr. Shaw are truly exceptional! read more

I had one transaction with them 6 months back. I wanted to cancel the account but, they insisted to freeze the account, so that I can unfreeze and use it in the future. After 3 months, they suddenly they unfreezed my account and without informing me and without my authorization they started charging me $69 every month, I was not even aware they are charging me. When I noticed and contacted them, they mentioned that they are authorized to unfreeze and charge on the patient's card without their consent. I would never recommend 'The Joint Chiropractic' to anyone. read more

Dr. Jim and his assistant Pam are the best thing about this place. They genuinely care about their clients and are core to this chiropractic practice. They have only given my wife and I advice that we could practically implement and use as well as amazing in-house spinal adjustments. We have been going to this location exclusively for about 6 months and needless to say, the plan is worth every single dollar. The best thing that I learned recently is that they do newborn/infant adjustments as well, which to me is unique and requires a lot of care, attention and specialized training. Hats off to Dr. Jim & his staff! I'll try and post a pic on here about our newborn experience. read more

Dr. Shah is amazing. She only works on Fridays and Saturdays. She is a healer and so knowledgeable. The entire staff is friendly and authentic. And the supermodel, Pamela, at the front desk is always so warm and welcoming. You really can't go wrong here. read more

Dr Jim does a great job for me. I go every week and have never felt better. I am still a regular here as the treatment keeps me moving and no more pain. The adjustment encourages my spine to go where it should be. read more

I would avoid this place at all cost! Charged my card after cancelation. Also the lady promised for a positive review on yelp they'll give a bonus session! I just was turned away at 4:35pm from this location bc the front desk girl claimed I hadn't been to this location in "a couple years".... (Which isn't true- I was there in January 2021 according to my bank statement of last transaction- the last time I came a different front desk girl was also rude but figured she was having a bad day- and kept trying to up sell me on a membership but I prefer paying as needed.) she said I'd be considered a new patient... and that it takes 20 minutes to fill out paperwork, have the chiropractor examine me and they close at 5.... I highly doubt checking a couple boxes and telling him a have a tight neck would take 25+minutes. I understand you close at 5, but my appt would not have taken that long- a simple adjustment: I'm a hairstylist and after a long Saturday can barely turn my neck from tightness- the combination of my neck pain, her rude attitude and my frustration has me in tears... during the sports seasons over the years I've had both my children enrolled in your kids membership...I've sent my fellow hairstylists here...I also have all my family come to this location when they are in town.. NO MORE! I'll be sure to let everyone know... I have been to arcadia and north Phoenix locations and they are always friendly....for whatever reason, you hire the rudest receptionists! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! read more

This is my favorite The Joint location. I always get the best adjustments for my neck/shoulder problems from Dr. Jim and Pam at the front desk always greets me with a smile! Dr. Jim is very helpful in giving advice on what to do after and beyond the adjustments, in order to maintain overall health. I have a location walking distance from my house but still make the 15 minute drive to this Camelback location for Dr. Jim and Pam. It feels like a little community and I always enjoy my short weekly visits there. This Phoenix location is the best. Awesome adjustments and customer service. read more

Best customer service ever at front desk! Dr.Jim's adjustments give me a positive result everytime. I appreciate the no appointment needed flexible schedule. The atmosphere in the office is positive and uplifting. read more

I have been a patient for about 2 years now. This location is outstanding starting with the girls at the front desk who are both so friendly and warm. Jim has helped me through many issues with a strong but not rough approach. He listens and works through the issues with me. Jim has also helped with ideas and strategies that I can continue with outside the office and I have never felt better. They have a great monthly membership and I see them every Tuesday! If you have back, hip & neck issue like me I would highly recommend! read more

The Joint is very easy to do business with. They don't take insurance, but in many cases (especially if you buy visits in bulk), the cost is lower than typical insurance co-pays. They also don't take appointments--which you won't need since you seldom wait more than a few minutes. You can use your FSA here, and one tip I would offer is to ask the receptionist for thorough documentation. Some FSA plan administrators like to see this. I like this location of The Joint because the staff are friendly and professional. The doctor has always fixed up my back/neck aches quickly and with minimal hassle. read more

From the moment I got back to the chiropractor, the focus was how to sell me on a monthly plan when it should be how can they help me not be in pain. I come there in pain from an issue I have and I wasn't even examined or anything. Immediately a sales pitch. I had a 1 minute adjustment and 20 minute sales pitch. I'd pay more money to have a better experience and visit with someone who cares about the problems I have. Would not recommend to anyone regardless of the price. read more

This place definitely deserves 5 stars! It is conveniently located, open on weekends, and all of the staff are friendly. I have to be honest I have always been skeptical of chiropractors and was hesitant to go, but had run out of options and my back has been throbbing for days. After going to Urgent Care, icing, pain pills and resting I decided to check it out for myself. The doctor was kind, sympathetic and gentle with me. The doctor listened to me and did not rush me which I was unable to do. I was so embarrassed from crying from pain but he was professional and kind the whole time. I have not been able to walk in over 3 days from the intense back pain which I learned was from a slip disk. Two hours after coming home from my alignment I am able to sit and walk with much reduced pain. I cannot THANK him enough. Hours later I am already feeling better. I purchased a 1 month pass and will be back next week! I am so grateful for the help and support and will definitely make referrals. read more

Some guy was complaining about the introductory offer. It's likely he was trying to go to various locations and acting like a first timer. I came here expecting there to be a catch but just paid $19 (no tax) as stated. I was so happy with my adjustment that I came back the following week and signed up for the $49/mo plan which includes 4 adjustments then $12 thereafter! My first month is unlimited adjustments and I'm already on my third the first week! I put my back out and it's totally helping, no complaints. Even the pay as you go plan $29/adjustment is good deal. I'll be a regular here. read more

Today was my first visit here & it was a great experience. They don't allow appointments, it's walk in basis only which is extremely convenient when you're on the go! Dr. Stuart was awesome in his adjustment, teaching and his recommendation for treatment to help with the issues I've been experiencing. I left there on a monthly plan & on my next day off I'll be in for another session. THANKS! read more

I was a patient at the Joint for over a year and was thrilled with the chiropractor, Dr Drew. However, when he left suddenly the new chiropractor ignored my teenager's requests for how he needed to be adjusted and walked out in more pain than he had come in with. Further, when I cancelled his membership for an unrelated reason, they charged me for the month I cancelled (understandable since it was close to the normal billing date), plus another month afterwards. When I complained that they shouldn't be charging me for an additional month my concerns were dismissed out of hand by the person at the desk. read more

I love it here they are thorough and you never have to wait long. I feel amazing when I leave its clean and everyone is professional and friendly. Not only will recommend to others I will also be back! read more

What has happened to my favorite chiropractic office?!?! They replaced kind, knowledgeable Pamela, who remembered just about everyone's name, with some young flake, who knows nothing and has the personality of a rock. Then they replaced Dr Shah, with some young, hip hotshot, who couldn't give a proper adjustment, if his life depended on it!!! He doesn't listen either and his adjustments are way too rough. Very unhappy with this new set up!! read more

Dr. Drew is a great doctor hands down. And have always had excellent service until I had to cancel our account. We had placed our account on hold because we were going to be gone for the summer. While we were gone circumstances had produced a need to move to another state. So I called the month it was going to begin billing again to request to terminate. The receptionist became very ugly and demanded I sent her proof that we were moving and refused to fax me the form demanding that I come in to complete them. We were out of town so I couldn't. Before we left I requested that our credit card be removed from the account and to only use our debit. I was told it would be done. Upon returning home they billed the credit card that was to be terminated. The card went over the limit causing our interest rate to go up. All the while we had another account with The Joint in Scottsdale whom we contacted as well. They had no trouble handling it over the phone and faxing the forms. read more

When my wife's back started to really hurt at three o'clock in the morning on a Sunday, I despaired. This wasn't a good time for one's back to go out because, as I learned in the past, no chiropractors are open! . . .at least that's what I thought. . . A few places make a pretense of being open "by request" but when I emailed one, I didn't get a call back. A look on Yelp did reveal The Joint as being open on a Sunday--since we were at a loss to try anything else that day, we decided to give it a try. Turns out that The Joint is owned by the same people that own Massage Envy, and they have a similar concept--if you're a member, you can go to any Joint at any time for service as per the rules of your plan. Nice! My wife joined, and she got the relief that she was looking for. A few follow-up appointments later, and the pain was gone. Keep in mind--this is stripped-down chiro service. There's no x-rays or initial consultations, no water jet beds or IR lasers. If you're looking for just straight up chiropractic with no commitments, this may be the Joint you're looking for. Have a look at the reviews. They speak for themselves. N.B. Not all Joints are open on Sundays, but this one is. :) read more

The front desk is crap! They are not equipped to put anyone at ease. Nothing like being tense when someone cracks my back. Paralyzation???? Someone is..... same girl has no voice at all. I will be canceling. I was thinking about it but the constant display of the lack of care has caused me to look elsewhere. I gave the ladies at the front desk 6 tries and they failed at all times. read more

I don't have any chronic pain but I do have a foot that swings out to the side when I walk so a friend recommended that I try a chiropractor. The staff and the doc were friendly. He listened to what I had to say then made some stretching recommendations to correct my foot. His recommendations were in line with what my masseuse said as well. He did the adjustment and was professional. I told him that I wanted to see how I felt the next day so I didn't want to purchase the package and there was absolutely no pressure to upsell. In the end I decided to just stick with massage, but the professional recommendations and the lack of pressure to upsell should be noted. Good service overall for those who want to check out a new chiropractor. read more

This is by far the best place to get an adjustment or any chiropractic service! The person who ties it all together is the front desk receptionist Pamela. She always greets you with a bright smile and a warm welcome. Her energy and positive attitude definitely radiates throughout the office. I don't prefer just one doc because each one that's given an adjustment has been very thorough, easy to talk with and gets the job done. What's even more convenient is this is a walk in only office and I have never waited more than 5 minutes for one of the docs. Also getting my chiropractic services here is actually significantly cheaper than using my insurance with a $25 copay! Try this place because once you do, you will be hooked! read more

The Joint Camelback - The Joint! Fast check in with a scan of my keycard! - Chiropractors Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

The Joint is my favorite chiropractic experience. I've been seeing chiropractors since I was 16 years old, and this has been the best for me. Affordable, convenient, and effective. I have seen many different chiropractors through The Joint and this Biltmore office is my favorite too! Dr. Jim is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate, quick and effective. I always walk out of there feeling better. And Pamela at the front desk is always sweet, cordial, and professional - I feel like we are all good friends now:) Plus, it always smells good in the office too - they have a natural oil diffuser that makes it smell like a spa in there:) I have told many of my friends and yoga students about this place - I highly recommend:):) read more
