The staff was friendly, the space was clean and welcoming, and the chiropractor I saw was attentive and professional. Everything about the experience felt top-notch, and I can see why so many people find relief here. That said, my particular back pain ended up requiring a different medical approach, so I called to cancel my monthly subscription the same month I started it. The cancellation was confirmed over the phone, and I assumed that was the end of it. Unfortunately, I didn't monitor my bank statements closely enough and later discovered--thanks to Rocket Money--that I had been charged monthly for several months afterward. Nothing can be done now, and I take responsibility for not double-checking. I used to always go to the joint since I was 12 going to soccer practice as a child, but they have gone down in quality. I went to sign up again last week but just did one adjustment because the front desk girl was disrespectful. The chiropractor is nice but my neck still hurt after like no relief at all she just used a mini popper thing and I went to a new chiropractor recently and I actually felt adjusted after, but I'm not sure if the front desk girl was new but they need to do better training before they let her interact with customers. Went here on a Sunday afternoon cause I was having neck stiffness. The receptionist was very nice however the chiropractor, Michael, was a complete prick. He asked what was wrong, I said I was having neck stiffness maybe due to sitting in front of a computer all day. He literally interrupts me and says no that's not why. So I then ask why do you think it's stiff, and he says how am I supposed to know. He then talks to me like I'm a child saying, do you know anything about chiropractic and treatments. I respond no and he states just getting 1 adjustment isn't going to help me with anything. Then he tells me to lay down, and tries to crack my neck. When it doesn't crack he states my neck is too tight. I just got up walked to the front to pay and left. As I was leaving another guest in the waiting room says, that guys friendly as he was laughing. Instead of belittling me the entire visit, why could you not just talk to me like a person, and say I'm not sure what's making your neck hurt but I can try to help. I am going to you in the first place for ADVISE as I'm NOT a chiropractor. How am I supposed to know exactly what's causing pain? First I want to say that I have gotten some excellent adjustments at the joint and that the pricing and no appointment to come in, has been good for me. I think there are some very talented people working at the joint. My critique is that those chiros are being worked to death and that eventually chips away on the quality of the work. I know this because years ago I worked at a very busy spa and if you need to do 8 massages back to back, you are not able to maintain quality, not to mention your own health and alignment. I do not know how the chiropractors get paid but I get the sense they get paid by how ever many adjustments they can cramp into the hour. They probably have a quota to fill. I haven't been to a Chiropractic in years!! Years, over 10. Whenever I'm feeling a little something bugging me in the back and shoulder areas I run to the spa for a massage honestly. Months ago, over 6 months ago my PCP still heated I see a Chiropractic for the sharp pains I've been having in my lower back and right leg. I never did! Fast forward months, the back pains were getting so severe that I was having trouble driving, bending down to do the slightest thing, it was horrible. I live directly around the corner from this place and frequent Chipotle more times then I care to admit, which means I've walked pass The Joint endless amounts of time and never stopped in. After store to store Christmas shopping the day after a Christmas, I stopped it and changed my life. Pamela at the front desk was soooo bubbly and in such a good mood that she intensely made me feel better! My first visit was $29 bucks, $19 off if you check in on Yelp guys . It was recommended that I purchase a wellness package for $60 bucks I believe for 4 visits. I'm so glad I did! He visit is quick and slightly painless you're first time. Afterwards and the next morning I sort of felt like I had a workout. The Dr told me I would. Got here a bit early so we sat in the car. Then I saw a Chiro with his sandwich board walking out to set it up in the entryway. I asked if I could come in early and sit. He told me sure.. sometimes we start early and sometimes right at 10. So in I went and went to the table! He is very good and I had a fabulous adjustment. Good customer service and quick service. Not sure that was the correct move as I felt like it lacked the proper exam and went just to adjustment so I hope it doesn't get worse. Majority of people, I think that will be ok. I just happen to have had back surgery before and am having nerve pinching which I presume from the L3/L4 level. My husband and I were longtime members based out of the Camelback location. When my husband lost one of his key clients (and sources of income), we had to cut back. I called this location to cancel our membership and they sent us the form to cancel. We filled it out and sent it back promptly and were told it was canceled. Many months went by and my husband realized he'd still been getting charged for the membership we were no longer using. We called again and were told that the form only canceled ONE of our memberships, not both (we were on a family plan) DESPITE the original form saying it cancels all family members on the plan. We filled out the form for the second person and were told to contact the manager to discuss the refund for the months we had still been paying. We were denied the refund because of their policy - DESPITE their customer service person not saying we needed a second form AND depite the fact that their form itself says otherwise. TERRIBLE customer service that amounts to a bit of a scam when what the form says conflicts with their own verbal policy. DO NOT RECOMMEND. It's too bad because we might have rejoined once our status improves but now we absolutely will not. read more
