The restaurant is clean and inviting. I was greeted with a warm smile. I got jerk chicken, black bean and rice, plantains, and a beef patty. The order came with a hot sauce. I started with the beans and rice. It seemed to lack something, so I put the hot sauce on and it transformed into something amazing! I don't usually eat one thing all gone, but this was an exemption. I took a bite of the plantain. It had little bits of crispy chewy on the outside, sweet, tangy plantain on the inside. The chicken is tender and moist, like it just came off a bbq, seasoned just right. Mmmmmm. I saved the best for last. The meat patty was a flaky pastry with a tasty meat filling. We had lunch here yesterday and everything was great. We got an oxtail Smashburger, an oxtail plate, a loaded baked potato and festival. Everything was hot fresh and super flavorful. The two women working behind the counter were super nice and answered all of my questions. I love the music that they were playing. It really added to the vibes. Our favorite was definitely the burger. It had perfectly crispy edges such great flavor and was topped with caramelized onions, which were delicious. Ordered the single smash burger to-go. While from order to pickup was quick, I didn't expect the burger I took home to be so messy. It's a patty, cheese, and shredded oxtail smashed in between two buns. I really do enjoy a good smash burger served on a crispy grilled bun. I am not sure if it was just the way my burger was made that day or if the flavor of extra char / burnt bits is normal for this style of burger. The buns were wet, soaked in what I'm guessing is the moisture from the oxtail toppings or extra drippings. Unfortunately, this was just not my kind of smash burger. When you enter there are two lines: one for their standard menu and one for chicken wings. Wanted to try this place since I was in the mood for Jamaican Food. Which is so hard to find out here in the IE.Customer Service was good but I wish I could say the same thing for the food.I got the Oxtail plate with the rice and peas. The Rice & Peas were dry and you could tell the peas were cooked too long and nothing had any favor. The Oxtails I couldn't really tell what they were because it looked mostly like a few small bones and gravy and once and dug in that is exactly what it was. No Meat what so ever though out the entire dish! They didn't even give me a full oxtail not even on one bone. Technically it wasn't even a bone to begin with. The Mac and Cheese was mid, not thick as all but it was seasoned kinda watery. I was excited about finally finding a Jamaican restaurant out here but clearly was let down and I will not be back. Thought I would be saving money, grabbing a bag off too good to go. Instead I just found a new spot to come by for bowls and scope the rest of the menu. Everything was so tasty! The patty was fluffy and seasoned just right. I took my food 20 minutes home, forgot the heat saver bag, and it was still warm and delicious. Chicken was so tender and the plantains had just started to get a crisp on one edge. When I took them back to the counter, the young woman at the register offered to remake them, but I declined since it had already taken longer to prepare my food than it did for my husband's wings and fries next door at Wingman. She kindly offered mac & cheese as a replacement, but sadly, that too was disappointing. The burger itself didn't live up to the hype--it was not enjoyable at all. Experience: Place an order for pick up that wasn't ready upon arrival , my sister had to wait over 20 minutes for the food to be prepared because the meat wasn't ready. Upon receiving the food, I contacted the store to let them know the poor quality taste of food, and just the overall dissatisfaction with the meal. I requested a full refund. While on the phone, I was advised that coworkers had cooked the food. I'm not sure why there's not a real chef at this location, but, yeah, I'm trashing this! I definitely will not recommend this location to anyone. This was my second time visiting the location. Not the prettiest lol, but what it lacks in looks it makes up in taste! Stumbled across this restaurant by way of an IG influencer and so I made the trip..and wasn't disappointed. I had to bring the food home to add more seasoning + cook the oxtails a bit longer because they were still very tough. $30 for 4 pieces of oxtail is a bit pricey (plus 2 sides) this is comparing to other Jamaican spots around the area (and what im used to in boston) ive also never had this type of steamed veggies its more stir fried than steamed. the jerk chicken was a bit odd and ive had street jerk chicken in Jamaica and It was never chopped up like this plus very mild seasoning. i wanted to love this place but unfortunately its a pass nothing against the workers they were very nice read more

Way better than shake shack, in n out & 5 guys! Way more flavor patties are big for a smash burger. I was full couldn't even the whole burger my husband couldn't either lol. And we can eat! The burger comes with fries but not enough it was like 13 fries and crumb in a big bag. Also the oxtail burger should not be called that because I didn't notice any oxtail or sauce! The burger is priced really good which explains the lack of oxtails because I didn't see any but I did see a string of meat like it must have been like a 1/4 tsp maybe. I came across this restaurant on Super Bowl Sunday while scrolling yelp looking for some good vegan eats. I was glad to see that they offered vegan options. I ordered a number 1 which is your choice of one protein, rice, two sides and a drink. They offer tofu and cauliflower as vegan protein substitutes. I asked for jerk sauce on my tofu. I also ordered a side of cauliflower with lemon pepper sauce (low key lemon pepper wings since the cauliflower is deep fried). On the sides menu there's an item listed "festival" that's Jamaican corn bread. Think hot water corn bread though, it is absolutely amazing! Be forewarned though it's very sweet, that was a-okay by me. I was slightly disappointed with the vegan ceviche, I was certainly expecting vegan seafood to be mixed in and there wasn't any. It's pico de gallo, although it was flavorful it should be listed as something else. The cashier was extremely patient with me while I asked tons of questions. The restaurant is pretty small definitely not a place for large groups. There's maybe four or five tables that seat two - four people inside. There's also outside seating available. It was really nice to find a Caribbean food spot and it definitely hit the spot! The food had plenty of flavor and I received a nice blend of food from my mystery bag. The chicken was well seasoned and there was a good balance of rice to partner with it. I really enjoyed the plantains as well!
