I think they are planning their next visit with us around the days & hours The Hen's Nest is open lol. The food is just absolutely delicious and the restaurant employees are super friendly and so sweet. The bathroom is cute and extremely clean, which is very important to me. For as many times as my husband and I have been there we have not even once had a complaint! Everything has always been spot on. I highly recommend everyone trying them out, you will not be disappointed, I guarantee!

I asked for a soft scramble and that's what I got. The bacon was crispy and the biscuits were soft. Our server was extremely friendly and readily answered our questions and as her time permitted, chatted with us briefly. When we walked in, we were asked if we had a reservation (we didn't), but were sat immediately. The establishment is no frills with a very down home vibe that serves delicious food. I feel if you go often enough, they get to know you and will greet you by name and remember your order. Is it perfect? Based on others reviews (some just seemed like whining), probably not. Was my experience perfect? Very much so, from service, to food, to ambiance, I loved it. Would I return? Absolutely. *no pics because I was starving and forgot to snap some shots* This is small town Texas, you know, that thing that is disappearing very fast because everybody is moving here? Expect it to be a bit slow, don't look for instant gratification. Slow down, enjoy your food, and look around a bit.

Being a New Orleans native like myself we definitely gonna support our own when we find them away from the city. So when i saw he was having a crawfish boil I knew it was gonna be fire. And it did not disappoint. This was easily the best crawfish I had since living in San Antonio. Right spice. Right juiciness. No deads. Nice sized. It was so good I went up after and asked him when he was doing it again. Disappointed to find out he only does it once a year but I know I'll be back every year. And just to get some more cravings out the way I also ordered the bbq shrimp and my son had the chicken and beignets. We both inhaled them. So good. This was my first time to the location here. It's beautiful inside and out. The waitstaff was very attentive considering the large amount of people they were trying to account for. Place was full and there was a catered event going on at the same time. Love NOLA. Will always be a customer and a fan.

The inside was super cute and had a really chill vibe. Our server was sooo sweet and amazing! I ordered the hot chai latte and it was really good. I also got the Big Easy biscuit with a side of grits. The grits were really good too and had a little spice to them. The biscuit itself was SO good and fluffy! definitely the star of the meal. It was a little messy with the eggs and sauce, so I ended up eating it with a fork. The biscuit came with potatoes on the side, but unfortunately they were overcooked and super hard/crunchy, so we could barely eat them. Overall, I'd definitely come back and try more menu items!

It was popping when we got there, so we had about a 25 minute wait. It took them a little while to take our order, but once they did, the food was made and delivered in a timely manner. I, of course, got the cinnamon roll pancakes short stack, and they were absolutely divine. No need for butter or syrup, they were perfectly delicious as is, cinnamon swirl included?!? and icing glaze as well. Another favorite was the chile relleno omelette - the poblano pepper on top added some smokiness along with the steak, and the sour cream and cheese cooled it down. Bacon and canadian bacon on point. A solid breakfast spot! Don't miss out on the cinnamon roll pancakes! *Cinnamon Roll pancakes, short stack *Cowboy Breakfast: eggs, biscuits with country gravy, bacon *Chile Relleno Omelette: fajita steak, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, & cheese, topped with ranchero sauce, sour cream, green onion, feta cheese *Pancakes & Eggs: 2 cinnamon roll pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage *Sides: grilled ham, bacon, hash browns

The waffle and the omelette were both a bit bland. I don't think the shrimp were seasoned much. I did enjoy the biscuit. It was the best aspect of the meal. I was in a rush, but think the experience would have been better if I sat down and got the food fresh.
