We celebrated my friend's 60th Birthday at The Jacquard. Little staycation. Very satisfied customers. 10 's all around. Jamie at Narrative, an absolute fabulous human, made sure we had a great bday brunch. Fayden what an amazing check-in with a lovely bday gift, Vincent for a seamless check out, Nichole our incredible waitress for brunch, and Kasey & Rafael up at the rooftop pool. Debbie the DJ up at the rooftop pool, great music and kind vibes. Everyone worked hard to make certain we had an amazing unforgettable experience. Very grateful to this team for truly going above and beyond for my friend's 60th. Highly recommended for anyone!! I'll be back soon!! Thank you

Room service. Salad was a decent option and delivered to the room quickly.

Lovely hotel in Cherry Creek. I stayed here two days this past month for a business trip. Room was comfortable and had all the necessities. Bathroom was spacious as well. Room service was prompt as well, and the food was good. Would definitely stay here again.

Impressive staff & presentation by Jacquard!

I had the pleasure of sampling the most delicious food presented by Jacquard at the Sip & Savor event last night. The Caesar Salad deviled eggs were beyond description (I don't cook, yet had to have their recipe). Can't speak to the hotel (this is a food-only review)...but I will share that I will make it a point to dine here. Beyond yummy!

My wife and I had a very nice stay about a month ago for our anniversary. It was very hot this summer in Colorado, with the lack of normal summer rains and some substantial wildfires. We decided to spend most of our trip in the city. And the rooftop pool at Jacquard was a refreshing spot to squelch the sweltering heat! Upon our check in, our room had an issue with the shower not draining properly. I contacted the front deck and they sent a maintenance worker to take care of it when we were not in the room so it was great because it wasn't a nuisance that we had to be there while they fixed it. And they were quick and efficient to get it taken care of!!! We stayed for I believe four days, and upon check out I had left my shaving bag there and I didn't notice until I was already out of state driving back home. I contacted them and they informed me that my item was found my the cleaning staff, and they mailed it to me very quickly! I was incredibly impressed by the high level of hard work and dedication of the staff of this hotel! Their level of commitment and dedication to their customers is really outstanding! Aside from that the hotel is really a nice place to stay! I highly recommend the Jacquard if you are planning a trip to Denver!!!

The Jacquard is conveniently located in the heart of Cherry Creek near all the shops and restaurants. I came here on a business trip and after this trip, I've decided this will be the hotel I stay at again when visiting in the future as well. As you step into the lobby, there is a beautiful glass fireplace, dim lighting, artwork and during the holidays, decorations. It was warm and inviting. Once up the elevator, I came to a door and needed a key card to access my floor. It felt like a great added security measure. They spared no expense to make sure every area features beautiful artwork and decor. The room was very spacious and had a great view of downtown. I was quite impressed with the closet, bed and TV. I loved the robes and slippers. I could go on and on with how many things they have done well. One thing I would change is the bathroom. It's a typical barn door style entrance, but it's made of frosted glass and there's no handle on the inside, so when I took a shower it was very slippery and hard to open. Also, while the bathroom and shower have a frosted glass door, the inside wall connecting them is clear. So, if you're sharing a room, it might be uncomfortable to shower and use the bathroom at the same time. A little more privacy would be a nice consideration.

When my cousins said they wanted to splurge on a nice hotel for our first early family Christmas celebration in Denver, we didn't mess around. The Jacquard was by far the nicest hotel I've stayed in since my sweet suite at the Encore Suites at Wynn Las Vegas. Not only was the room amazing but the people who worked there understand hospitality. From the valet attendant to the front desk personnel, every interaction was top notch and genuine. Nice people. Nice pillows. The best pillows. I actually took one of the six pillows and removed the pillow case so that I could take a picture of the tag. Now I'll be buying said pillows to enjoy nightly!!! The area of Cherry Creek where the hotel is located has a ton to do within walking distance. Restaurants. Bars. Shopping. People watch. Let's just say if we do early Christmas in Denver again this year, or if I go to Denver for other reasons, I know exactly where I'll be staying.

This hotel was such a disappointment. I would not recommend staying here specifically based on value. I paid $425 a night on a Wednesday night. In my opinion that is a premium price for a hotel room. A few things to know: 1. Valet is $50 per night 2. Don't expect to receive anything. Upon check in outside of a key to your room. I am accustomed to receiving a few bottles of water at the least. 3. The clean up crew will attempt to clean your room prior to the check - out time- that's rude. Ok- a few friends and I had rooms at this hotel. We attempted to check in early. I was able to get a room early, but my friend ( who has status with Marriott) was not. This was not a big deal since we did have a room to place our items. When we dropped off our luggage my friend noticed that the gummy bears in the room were open. I made sure to let the staff know that they were already open as I did not want a charge ion my bill for them. Additionally, the room was not clean. The bathroom toilet was dirty and dust was on the table lamp, and likely other places. I noticed the lamp, and did capture that in a photo. The rooms are relatively small. I also do not like the placement of outlets, or the intimate lighting throughout the room. I am not sure who the designer was, but they should have gotten a second opinion before committing. When we returned from dinner my friend was able to get a room. The problem- the room smelled like sewerage. Yes, it smelled terrible the moment you stepped foot into the room. She complained about it but was told they were sold out and could not switch her room. They only offered an apology. We advised her that she needed to request compensation for the issue. After making a request they did take some money off the cost of the room. if interested the room number was 407. This hotel just does not live up to being an autograph property. Per the Marriott website, an Autograph property is a signature experience that leaves a lasting imprint on all who stay. This hotel did NOT meet that mark. It's a strong negative for me. I can't recommend it.

Washington Park Boathouse - First day of fall y'all! 2023

This review is for the boathouse as a wedding venue. We were actually married in Bali, Indonesia,…read morebut held a more casual wedding reception for our friends and relatives here in Denver who were unable to travel abroad. The boathouse was inexpensive, a relatively blank slate in terms of décor (we wanted to bring a tropical, Balinese feel to a venue so this was a good thing for us), and allowed us to use a food truck and our own alcohol/bartender, rather than having to opt for a specific caterer. The downsides to the boathouse are that there are no tables and chairs (meaning you must rent your own from a private rental company), the hours in which you can have possession of the rental are limited, you are responsible for your own cleanup, and there is no climate control in the 'getting ready room' and catering kitchen downstairs - which meant that it was very, very hot in August. I'd recommend either getting ready at a hotel instead, or bringing a couple of standing fans to help cool the room. Additionally, you can only have beer, wine, and Champagne at this venue, which wasn't a big deal for us, but it might be a deal breaker for others. Wedding venues in Denver are insanely expensive these days, even for the most basic - so this was an absolute steal comparatively - just keep in mind you will need to spend more on decorating since there really isn't anything here, just a brown floor and off-white walls. We got the venue when it was still only $600, it appears that weekend rentals are now $1000, still a good deal. If you're okay with shelling out a bit more for furniture rentals and décor then this is a relatively good venue for the price. I'd recommend hiring a clean-up crew, and a day-of coordinator to deal with the logistics of the place - but since it wasn't our actual wedding (there wasn't a ceremony) it worked out fine for us. If you're considering the boathouse for a wedding venue and have questions, feel free to PM me.

From…read morespending hours truly getting to know us, to having all the right connections, to gracefully navigating a weather pivot on our wedding day, Alex surpassed every expectation. My husband and I knew we wanted to create a unique, beautiful wedding experience that we, our family and friends would cherish and remember. We'd wanted elements of a traditional wedding weekend but one that felt fun and not like every other wedding we'd been to. We also knew that, as a busy engineer and lawyer, we had very little knowledge about what goes into a great wedding and very little time or desire to learn the intricacies of "the perfect wedding." Alex spent hours asking probing and fun questions. He really got to know our visions, desires and quirks. There were so many times when we said things like "we want a dinner the night before, but not a typical rehearsal reception with people standing around at hightop in a bland conference room." He absorbed all of it and turned it into a fabulous weekend. Alex's encyclopedic knowledge about James and Rebecca was invaluable when my work got super crazy a few months before the wedding. When I told Alex that I could do big decisions, but the little ones, like choosing ribbon color or envelopes for invitations, were hurting my brain, Alex stepped in and planned everything based on what he knew about us. Alex found us a breathtaking space in the Penrose Room at the Broadmoor, he coordinated flowers to match my colorful dress, helped pick perfect delicious meal stations that suited a variety of dietary needs, organized the music and stayed on top of the hotel until their 3,000 square foot Parker suite opened up. Alex interviewed and found the best make-up artist, designed hand calligraphed journals for our guests, and created guest bags that with fun and useful things. I could go on and on! Alex's management of every detail meant the weekend ran smoothly and everyone was happy! He created a bowling night for our out-of-town guests and wedding party, worked with the hotel make sure family members with friction had rooms far away from each other, stocked our bride and groom suite with snacks and champagne, moved us us through the precise schedule of photos, ceremony and reception, and organized a fun and delicious good-bye brunch. When a surprisingly rainy June meant our outdoor ceremony space was a mud-field, Alex pivoted and redesigned a large alcove in the reception space to be a cozy ceremony space. So many of our friends and family have said that ours was one of the best weddings they'd ever attended. Ok, ok, maybe they have to say that, but in this case, I think it's probably true! We would recommend Alex to any couple, especially successful professionals who want to create a first class, memorable experience (but might now have the first clue of how do to it).

To start off we had no air conditioning in the bridal suite. We had two small fans that did nothing but push around the hot air. My mother over heated right before my wedding time and it was awful. One AC unit was downstairs and one in the groom suite. People (including John) assured me that things would be cool and that was not what happened at all. Also no A/C was moved to the basement after being used in the groom suite and after we requested it to be moved. It was blazing hot in the basement and we ended the dance early due to people getting overheated. Second Sylvia, who was supposed to do the elevators and anything else we needed, did not reply promptly to our requests and made it seem like we were an inconvenience to help us. We had to go find her more than once and we had to search for her. We had several people leave before our first dance in the basement because they didn't want to wait on the elevator and hold up the wedding. It was very very disappointing to myself and my husband. It was his aunt and uncle and others who left because his uncle had a stroke and can no longer walk. It took us over ten minutes to find Sylvia. My brother and stepdad had to clear an entrance for the elevator to be used. I would have loved to actually meet my organizer Katie face to face but instead she sent a lady named Aspen in her place (Aspen was wonderful but didn't know anything of what Katie and I had already discussed). I didn't let any of that ruin our night. It is a beautiful venue but definitely some things need to be improved. Catering was wonderful!

It's counterbalanced with the bit of (still upscale) "shabby" aspects in the reclaimed wooden pieces, exposed bits of brick in the walls, concrete floor, and wooden barn doors. Moss offers an entire room full of jars, candle holders, decor pieces, and other accent items you can use for your event, so definitely do not sleep on that aspect of their venue, too. We visited Moss Denver in Autumn so the greenery that you'll see on the grounds was not yet alive and blooming, so consider that if you visit during the winter or fall months. I'm sure the blooms of Summer or Spring add a whole other aspect of the natural ambiance! Aside from the moss, greenery, and chandeleirs, etc - Moss is mostly an empty slate. So you can bring your own design and personal touches to your event pretty easily, which is so great in a venue when you don't want a cookie cutter look. So I recommend definitely at least checking out Moss Denver as an option for weddings, corporate events, reunions, or any other event that needs a nice, pretty malleable space that will work for most any event needs.
