This was a wonderful weekend getaway for my wife and I. The Zanzibar theme room was great. Jacuzzi in the room, fire pit right out the front door, and a beautiful view of Flathead Lake. The staff was very friendly and personable. Very quiet and friendly neighborhood. Our stay was in earl March, so not high tourist season. This time is too chilly to play in the lake at all, but the plus side of that is the beach is deserted and perfect for a peaceful walk.

Dock at the Raven across the street from The Islander. My friend looking out onto the lake.

Not only have I stayed here many times, but I will keep coming for more. Great little bar on tje lake across the street called The Raven. Snother great restaurant next to the hotel called Bonfire with seasonal menus or rotating I think. The rooms were super clean and comfy, it was close to anything we needed and in such a serene place. What a beautiful place to be and stay!

There is also a fire pit with chairs that sits on a small hill overlooking beautiful Flathead lake.

My disappointment is with Abigail, she will never answer the phone during business hours, she did return my call once, maybe twice, but then she stated she prefers to text. I mentioned I don't like to text and email, I prefer to speak with someone to ask my questions. I call and of course leave a message stating I'd like to ask one more question. If you call me back I won't call again. It seems as a customer I'm more of a bother, after leaving that message of course I don't get a call, I get a text, right after asking please call me, and I won't call again. Thirty minutes later I get a text, which I will leave in a photo at the end, stating this is the best way to communicate with me, even though I asked for a call. So the whole time we're there I never call, because I feel I'm more of a burden then a customer. So when I check out I go to the office three times, to ask a question on checking out, it's open, but nobody there. I walk the property can't find anyone, so I call at 10:14AM, of course no answer, so I leave a note on the desk stating I'm checking out. Again, great place to stay, and if you don't like personable service you will love this place.

This is really Montana at its best with Big Sky's hospitality and a deep sense of hospitality. Our cowboy Jordan checked us in the only remaining executive suite, after my brother in law kindly offer that room to us. The room is super spacious and comfortable with the rustic charm of western comfort! Their Wi-Fi was not working properly and Jordan got it fixed in a minute. Their blanket service is fantastic with super clean and individual plastic cover. Overall this is by far the best "Best Western" I have had the chance to visit. A little bit outdated but everything is top notch! Happy Fourth of July to all Yelpers!

And, what a pleasant surprise that was! I was greeted by the General Manager, Suzanne, who was so very helpful and accommodating, even though she was swamped with so many locals just looking to shower and get warm. That included a wedding party that was booked somewhere else, that unfortunately had also lost power. Twenty-six needed rooms and Suzanne and her crew made the wedding party VERY happy! I can't say enough about every staff member, but special thanks to Shelia and Cindy for the yummy breakfast buffet! Make sure you leave a big tip, because the breakfast is free .

Going into this trip I didn't know much, other than they had horses and that was what I wanted to do - ride horses. We arrived really early in the morning and was picked up at the airport, which was the size of a postage stamp. It was really easy to find our person, who grabbed our bags and loaded them into the trailer while we sat in the van. Met some others that were on the trip on the way to the lodge. Upon arrival they had a tent setup in the front where they greeted us, gave us a bag with a map of the property and list of that week's activities, told us our rooms weren't ready yet but they would find us when they were. Now - I'm going to note that they said they would find us when our room was ready and I didn't think they really would. We continued to check in to see when the room would be ready, but then later I saw them literally hunting someone down to give her keys - so they will indeed find you. When we checked in the room was a standard lodge room, we had a fridge but our friends didn't, in mentioning this in passing to the staff they brought them a fridge. Talk about service! We spent the next four days riding horses mostly, but also enjoying the company of the other guests and hearing stories from the staff. While we were really heavy on the horse rides we also enjoyed taking a tour of the elk preserve and clay sporting. We got a ride up to the yoga spot for a view (weren't too keen on hiking up there) and spent a good amount of time in the bar with fellow guests chatting up the staff. Everyone was amazing and so accommodating- I had said it was a bucket list trip but the staff at the Averill ranch has me seriously considering returning next year. Thank you for the memories.

The winter is often very cloudy and grey so lake views aren't always the best but the indoor jetted tubs are totally worth it. Outside, they have an infinity pool, two hot tubs, a fire pit, and a small putting green. My stay there has always been relaxing, peaceful, and it's delightful to bask in the beauty. Their newly redesigned lodge and game room area is great for families and friends alike. Be sure to stop by Riley's pub for friendly service and tasty bar snacks and meals. Their desserts are amazing!

So he tells us to park in a spot that has no reservations. The room: pubic and other hairs in jacuzzi, old stiff washcloth on the shower, no ligting in kitchenette to see, no lights on outside to see stairs, old phones from 80s, mold and peeling wallpaper in bathroom, old sock in closet, lukewarm hot tubs with scum, ice cold unheated pool. Can't close bedroom door because couch is in the way. Called to confirm before check in we would have a lake view from the room, he said absolutely yes, but you can only see a sliver of lake if you stand by front door, not even from seating, old food stains on tables. Paid over $900 for 3 weekday nights. WARNING: DONT GET SWINDLED. We considered going to econo lodge for more bang for our buck. Didn't complain, with soooo many issues i didn't trust anything they had to say.
