I can't say anything to accurately describe my visit here to Bridge Street Cottages other than FLAWLESS. My wife and I are from California and were on a Montana road trip celebrating her 30th birthday when we stumbled upon this wonderful gem. We drove and ended up in the quaint town of Bigfork, which we both loved. I walked into the Cottage's office and was met with the brightest smile from any employee I'd come across in a long time. Sally was pleasantly welcoming and made me feel as if I was coming home from college after not seeing my own mom. We talked it up for about 15 minutes before I even asked if there were any rooms available. She told me there were two, one standard cottage with a small kitchenette area and a full cottage with the whole shebang. She even insisted on showing me both units. We walked into the full cottage and was at a loss for words. The place was nicer and bigger than my house. Then off to the smaller one, and just as cool! Here's the run down. Full size cottage seemed to be about 1k square ft of living space. Large living room with a tv and fireplace but why watch TV, back porch where we spent 75% of our time, full kitchen, stove, sink, coffee maker, every utensil, pot and pan you'll need, his and her bathroom sinks, large bathroom and shower, so much to list!! Smaller cottage was about 600 square ft without the full living room and kitchen. I did see the coffee maker, nice bathroom and small love seat. I would have been perfectly happy staying in this room, but your wife only turns 30 once. Back at the office for paper work and I was fortunate enough to meet the owner Walt. Such a nice guy. Can't say I've run into nicer people who treated us like family. My wife and I hope to truly make this place a tradition until I can convince her to move up that way.

Wonderful cottages. We stayed in the Pheasant Cottage. Super cute and right on the river. Up to date amenities (even a washer dryer and full BBQ grill on the deck) so you can stay in if you would like, but it's walking distance of town, so it's very convenient. Going off on the amenities, there is a heater in EVERY room which is really nice when it's freezing. You can heat up the main bathroom plus shower area (two seprate heaters) really quick, so you don't freeze. I know they have AC too, but it was too cold for us to use. The mattress in this cottage is a tempurpedic knock off, so I actually got a good nights sleep after sleeping on spring for the last 4 nights. We're definitely coming back!

Going into this trip I didn't know much, other than they had horses and that was what I wanted to do - ride horses. We arrived really early in the morning and was picked up at the airport, which was the size of a postage stamp. It was really easy to find our person, who grabbed our bags and loaded them into the trailer while we sat in the van. Met some others that were on the trip on the way to the lodge. Upon arrival they had a tent setup in the front where they greeted us, gave us a bag with a map of the property and list of that week's activities, told us our rooms weren't ready yet but they would find us when they were. Now - I'm going to note that they said they would find us when our room was ready and I didn't think they really would. We continued to check in to see when the room would be ready, but then later I saw them literally hunting someone down to give her keys - so they will indeed find you. When we checked in the room was a standard lodge room, we had a fridge but our friends didn't, in mentioning this in passing to the staff they brought them a fridge. Talk about service! We spent the next four days riding horses mostly, but also enjoying the company of the other guests and hearing stories from the staff. While we were really heavy on the horse rides we also enjoyed taking a tour of the elk preserve and clay sporting. We got a ride up to the yoga spot for a view (weren't too keen on hiking up there) and spent a good amount of time in the bar with fellow guests chatting up the staff. Everyone was amazing and so accommodating- I had said it was a bucket list trip but the staff at the Averill ranch has me seriously considering returning next year. Thank you for the memories.

So, we spent a few nights here 1 1/2 years ago and we felt very unwelcome. I had emailed with the owners before making our reservations to make sure they could accommodate our food preferences, and they said they could. We booked the nicest, most expensive room and were looking forward to our stay. Upon arrival, the summer host ( I don't recall his name) really killed our joy. We introduced ourselves, and since my name is not common, I said a little helper tip for him to pronounce it, to which he replied, "I'm not even going to try" and then he just talked to my husband. He then asked if in addition to our food preferences we had "any other crazy requests". Wow, we spent $1400 and within 2 minutes of arrival this guy totally dismissed us. Everything after that was dim. We absolutely would not return, nor would I recommend this place to others.
