    Spent 2 nights here lucky us staff problems prevented them from properly cleaning our room both nights as well live band that brought in at lot of the public made parking at the condo very difficult we did address the front desk with the issue. I could not recommend this resort at this time.

We…read moreopted to go for the adult only retreat as our youngest child (the only one left) had no desire to go and if we weren't taking our kid we certainly didn't want to deal with anyone else's. Going into this trip I didn't know much, other than they had horses and that was what I wanted to do - ride horses. We arrived really early in the morning and was picked up at the airport, which was the size of a postage stamp. It was really easy to find our person, who grabbed our bags and loaded them into the trailer while we sat in the van. Met some others that were on the trip on the way to the lodge. Upon arrival they had a tent setup in the front where they greeted us, gave us a bag with a map of the property and list of that week's activities, told us our rooms weren't ready yet but they would find us when they were. Now - I'm going to note that they said they would find us when our room was ready and I didn't think they really would. We continued to check in to see when the room would be ready, but then later I saw them literally hunting someone down to give her keys - so they will indeed find you. When we checked in the room was a standard lodge room, we had a fridge but our friends didn't, in mentioning this in passing to the staff they brought them a fridge. Talk about service! We spent the next four days riding horses mostly, but also enjoying the company of the other guests and hearing stories from the staff. While we were really heavy on the horse rides we also enjoyed taking a tour of the elk preserve and clay sporting. We got a ride up to the yoga spot for a view (weren't too keen on hiking up there) and spent a good amount of time in the bar with fellow guests chatting up the staff. Everyone was amazing and so accommodating- I had said it was a bucket list trip but the staff at the Averill ranch has me seriously considering returning next year. Thank you for the memories.

We eat in the restaurant. Our waitress was more then dis-pleasing, off putting, rude and un-welcoming. I spent over 110.00$ and our families meal of bar food. Shout out to the cooks, food was good as expected. I left a decent tip. My husband took our minor kiddos out back, while myself my sister-in-law, her fiance tried to go to the bar order green tea shots. I wanted to toss my sister-in-law and have a moment. We were meet w a bar tender who tried to force us away w returning my tip from our meal in the restaurant. I declined and told her that was the waitress tip; she told me too not worry about it. Left the tip on the bar and ignored us for a while. As we were trying to order green tea shots. We finally got to order and the shots weren't the shots the buffalo is known for sad when she survived them to us and I paid; i got shorted my change and my sister-in-law was told "happy birthday, goodbye." Even the customer sitting at the bar eating enjoying their time. Had more kindess! Employee's big L. Cooks must be holding this place up. Won't be back for a while. Not after any rodeo and never again will take family or friend in to celebrate!!

The owners have that of every exquisite detail in taking care of their guests experience during a visit with them. Lawn games, lap blankets, even neighboring horses that drink at the rivers edge each morning and evening for the guests viewing pleasure ;) I recently used their space as my office with a glass of wine and free WiFi, I was so very pleased to have a place for this. Lastly, I must mention they have the loveliest of people who adoringly serve and host you while you're there. This is an easy 5 star to give!

They had a welcoming reception for approximately 75 guests with a catered beer wine menu. Friday was a catered rehearsal dinner. We were told we could not access property until 3:30 Wednesday. Ice truck was showing up at 12:00 so someone being me had to meet them to show Them where to put it. The owner Mike is his name came and meet us and showed where to put the ice. I wanted a feel for the property as I was the caterer. We were there a hour and left. Within minutes of leaving my partner in catering received a phone call from Mikes wife bitching that we accessed the property before 3:30. Husband Mike never mentioned it and was helpful. We used the kitchen for assembly only. All cooking was done on my Blackstone out doors. The brides parents put down a $2,500 deposit. They were informed they were getting docked $500 from over use of the property...lol, not damage, not from lack of not cleaning up etc. Pam had excuse after excuse of why they were keeping $500.00..Overuse of the property was her final answer, the brides family had paid dearly to use...I'm guessing the owners Mike and Pam need to figure shit out.. Greed is my final answer. Sad...will never recommend this venue again... we did recommend it to this family..I feel horrible for doing so...

My disappointment is with Abigail, she will never answer the phone during business hours, she did return my call once, maybe twice, but then she stated she prefers to text. I mentioned I don't like to text and email, I prefer to speak with someone to ask my questions. I call and of course leave a message stating I'd like to ask one more question. If you call me back I won't call again. It seems as a customer I'm more of a bother, after leaving that message of course I don't get a call, I get a text, right after asking please call me, and I won't call again. Thirty minutes later I get a text, which I will leave in a photo at the end, stating this is the best way to communicate with me, even though I asked for a call. So the whole time we're there I never call, because I feel I'm more of a burden then a customer. So when I check out I go to the office three times, to ask a question on checking out, it's open, but nobody there. I walk the property can't find anyone, so I call at 10:14AM, of course no answer, so I leave a note on the desk stating I'm checking out. Again, great place to stay, and if you don't like personable service you will love this place.
