I don't consider this a resort, but it is a great place to stay if you are traveling to Bigfork. It's older, but most of it has been rennovated. The rooms are a combination of hotel rooms and VRBO's. Most of the units are owned and then rented out through the resort. There is a pool, hot tub, tiki bar, docks, water views. Its close to boat rentals, restaurants and bars in down town Bigfork. Walking distance for those that like to walk. I'm a local and I appreciate that the restaurant stays open all year. The grounds are kept up nicely. read more

We stayed at the Marina Cay for a family reunion. It was absolutely amazing! Great views, friendly and accommodating staff, and awesome amenities - I would recommend this resort to everyone. Each condo is uniquely decorated, and ours fit our needs perfectly. Parking was easy to navigate and close to our room. There were a lot of activities on site. The resort is also centrally located to natural landmarks (we loved how easy it was to get to Kerr Dam and Glacier State Park from the resort). Our flight got in after the lobby had closed, but they made sure that we had our room keys and a very helpful map. I can't recommend this location enough! read more

Spent 2 nights here lucky us staff problems prevented them from properly cleaning our room both nights as well live band that brought in at lot of the public made parking at the condo very difficult we did address the front desk with the issue. I could not recommend this resort at this time. read more

If you just read the first sentence of my review, I'll do you a favor: Do not spend your money here. We came after a long day on the lake hoping for a quick bite and a cocktail. We were not told ahead of time that they were out of the fried chicken, which we tried to order, then the pork chop, which they were also out of. First rule of service: tell people immediately when they sit down what you are out of so that they don't get their hearts set on those items. Then after waiting 40 minutes, we inquired as to where our food was at. We were then told that the Cilantro Lime Chicken takes an entire hour to prepare. Again, we were not told this ahead of time. I am not sure what is going on at this place, but they're doomed to fail like all those who came before to this location. read more

We stayed in the blue rooms and we had beautiful views of the bay (large windows even by the jacuzzi tub). Full kitchen and living area and large balcony overlooking the water. So GQ ;). The attached Champs sports bar was great! Super accommodating with the NFL ticket for Sunday football. The staff was awesome and the wings, BLT and pulled pork soup were delicious! read more

Literally Bed bugs. Take your sheets off and look at the mattresses. Upon leaving and "helping" take off the sheets for housekeeping discovered all of the signs, plus bites! The worst hotel experience of my life. We got married today, we have 200 people at our house, and my mom bought us this room over a week ago for us to escape on our wedding night. Advertised with a hot tub.... No hot tub. Garbage left in the room. No shampoo. Light out over the bathroom sink. We complained to the bartender who claimed she was a manager and she says well I'm sorry, what are you drinking.? We ordered our drinks and then she charged us full price. We called the on call number to see if we could get an by relief and she just offered we sneak into the public hot tub, which we tried but there were other ppl all already in it. No ice in the ice machine due to covid. For real will NEVER stay here again or suggest it to anyone. What a memorable experience on our wedding night. read more

Great resort and location!!! Manager very grumpy and not particularly welcoming, maybe it was just too busy for her likes but it was our vacation. The restarting on the property was simply fantastic and we enjoyed eating at it several times!!! read more

We stayed in a water front room. The view was great. The studio is great for 2 people. The Tiki Bar is quaint and a great place to talk to other guests and locals. We love how lush the grounds are. They have flowers everywhere. The manager is great and willing to make your stay as great as possible. read more

I am specifically writing a review for VRBO 365535. We stayed there for 6 nights and I was amazed how wonderful the place was. Much more than I had expected. Warm, very spacious, homey and I loved the personal touches of family photos. It is close to everything in the Flathead Valley. But, if you want to hang at the condo, you are within walking distance to great food and shops. Don't let booking this in the off season stop you. There were many things closed for the season, but all the tourist were gone and we could enjoy ourselves without any hassle. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT at Marina Cay. read more

We went to dinner at the Tiki Bar the other nite. There were 6 of us. We are locals who the new owner Robert is supposed to cater to in order to have more business year around. We have eaten there a number of times last summer and we really loved it, the food, the menu, and the service. There were 6 of us. The service was horrible, it took an hour plus to place our order, and another hour to get served. I want to point out that it was not the waitresses fault. They were totally understaffed. The menu had changed totally and was totally unappealing. The food was totally unacceptable. All in all I would give it zero rating and not go back. We are seniors who were looking for a "resort". We wanted luxury and convenience on a lake with lovely views and activities we could do like rent boats, take tours, etc. When I made the reservation I asked specifically as well, if the wifi was good since I work and go to school on line and needed to access it daily.. I was assured "it was the best". So we get there and : 1. On a piece of the lake but looked like a small river. View was people playing games on the lawn, drinking, noisy and boats landing. 2. Rental costs for a motor boat way too expensive. Mostly private boats there. 3. Tried to book a "tour boat" and there was only one- cots for us: $320 for 4 hours (MINIMUM). 4. room was nice- a bit tight between the kitchen counter and bed (had to walk sideways) and the bed was so high we needed a stool to get in! 5. Called a "resort" had a resort fee!! for what?? No breakfast- oh they said they had "breakfast" i the lobby- stale bagels- that was it! What did we pay the resort fee for? 6. Lounge not open so we couldn't eat there or play pool and the like at night. 7. Tiki outside was nice. all staff were terrific but choices for food and activities slim 8. We came there to relax and be in a resort- we ended up leaving daily to go to Glacier Park, see other parts of the area and eating elsewhere. 9. Pool was ok- small- we had hoped we could swim in the lake- not! 9. and my main issue was the WIFI. it was sporadic- not dependable- and I was up til after 0300 each night trying to get my work done. My husband went to the lobby to ask for help and he was told someone would be there to help. none came. I was so frustrated an upset with this (yes I know it is a resort- shouldn't have to do work, etc.) but I did and i had confirmed the access ahead of time. had i known we would not have come.. When we checked out the nice young woman confirmed that the wifi was not dependable and she wouldn't have told me it was. Was the place pretty- yes? Staff very good. Who should go? people with their own boats. and do not expect a "resort". We spent a lot of money there. And to us it was mostly wasted.. very disappointed.. read more

We visited Bigfork for the first time last November. When we arrived at the resort, we were awed by the beauty of the lake and surrounding areas. The Marina Cay Resort is just a short walking distance from the quaint downtown area. We loved everything about Bigfork and the Marina Cay Resort! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful! We held our Company Retreat in Bigfork in June and is was AWESOME! Half of our team members stayed at Marina Cay... the accommodations were great and the service was outstanding! We also used their meeting space for professional development meetings during the day and the ballroom space for our celebration (including food, and a DJ/lights package). Shout out to Rebekah (the GM) who stayed on top of everything going on and ensured our entire team was taken care of. The whole experience was EPIC! read more
