Worth every penny! We stayed at Outlook Inn this past weekend in Somers, MT. I do not usually take the time to write reviews, but our experience was so topnotch, I feel compelled to share for the benefit of others. What an incredible spot! The view of Flathead lake from our room was incredible. The Inn, grounds and setting up on a hill overlooking the lake were gorgeous. The room was spotless. The bed and sheets were so comfortable. The hosts Michelle, Todd, Nancy and Tom were so hospitable and friendly. If this was not enough to convince you, the next morning we had a gourmet breakfast cooked and served to us on the outside deck overlooking the lake included in the price of the room. We will return on our next trip to Montana. I will also make sure to refer as many friends and family as I can. Thank you for a great experience worth every penny. read more

My daughter and I stayed at Outlook Inn for 5 nights. It was such a wonderful stay. We started in the Bayview Suite which was amazing. It was spacious, relaxing and had a wonderful view. It wasn't available for our entire stay so we moved to the Sportsman Room for the last two nights. It was smaller but still a wonderful space for us. The hosts made our transiiton to the new room so easy. The breakfasts were all amazing. The hosts were nice and made a note of the things you liked so they could anticipate your needs each day. Also, the sheets are amazing. They are ones that I use at home and I love them. My only wish is that we spent more time at this beautiful place. We ended up getting sucked into all of the beauty at Glacier National Park, Wildhorse Island and Trout Fishing that we didn't end up being at the inn a lot. The only negative was that we only had one night. - Absolutely stunning location. Delicious food. Our room was so cute and comfortable. We sat outside with wine and enjoyed sunset. This is probably my favorite place I have ever stayed. I stayed in the Sportman's Room. The bed was so comfortable, and you could open the curtains to see a beautiful view of Flathead Lake. You definitely want to leave some time in your schedule to spend sitting outside on the patio enjoying the view. The owners of the B&B were wonderful. I arrived late, but I was able to pick up my key and had instructions to get to my room. They also make a great fresh breakfast. The first day I had to leave early, so they prepared a quick but delicious meal for me. The next day I got to sit with the other guests and enjoy croissant French toast, sausage and potatoes. They also had a room with a coffee maker and plenty of brochures to give you ideas of places to visit. The B&B was about an hour from Glacier National Park. It is also about 15 minutes from Kalispell which had plenty of places to eat. read more

We have loved our stay here! We came for the Spartan race and it was a miserable disaster, but our accommodations were fantastic. The rooms are cozy and clean. The breakfast is AMAZING! The scones with homemade huckleberry raspberry jam were my favorite part. Teddy the dog also lives here and comes by after breakfast is over to play and lounge around. From the moment we arrived right up until the warm goodbye at the door, our two-night stay at this amazing B&B was BY FAR the most exquisite way to spend our 20th wedding anniversary! Michelle is an amazing chef and clearly takes pride in sourcing her ingredients locally--and by "locally" I mean her own garden or trees whenever possible! The food was no less than spectacular! We stayed in the 'Honeymoon Room' and loved waking up each morning to the breathtaking view of the lake and the sunrise! The detailed amenities were incredible! From the tv speakers at the headboard so we wouldn't disturb other guests with the volume for my hard-of-hearing husband, to the two shower heads in the shower. Also, the magnifying mirror on the desk/table and a cozy blanket tucked away in the wardrobe for movie watching-- or sunrise watching! Not to mention the plentiful outlets at the bedside tables and the remote control for the unique light fixture/fan above the bed! We felt like we were staying with some super nice friends and were given the master suite as our place to stay! read more

"Welcome Home!" The Outlook Inn is perfect in every way. We had never been to Montana and were in town for a wedding on Flathead Lake. What heaven! We were warmly welcomed by Tom and Nancy who run the property and shown to their brand new Bay View Suite. Incredible view, nestled on the bluff with the pines and butterflies. Accommodations are fantastic - brand new fabulous king bed, dual headed walk-in shower, soaking tub, Keurig and mini-fridge, and swivel love seat in the window. Every single breakfast was more delicious than the next. Tom and Nancy gave us great ideas for things to do in the area and their sweet black pooch, Maggie kept us company in the common areas. The Inn was booked up but you'd never know it - quiet, peaceful, perfect. We can't wait to go back! read more

I stayed here over the weekend of Labor Day with my 2 adult goddaughters. We got the separate bed that was set up in a spare room area. I can't say enough how gorgeous the Lake Room was. It had a mini fridge, microwave, & massive bathroom with separate shower & jet tub. The breakfast was delicious both days. As it is during Covid, there was self check in & out. I came to the area to checkout Blacktail Mountain Ski Area, and am glad I found Outlook Inn as well. This was our first visit to Montana in early October and by far our stay at Outlook Inn made it quite memorable !! The location, accommodations are very comfortable, each room has a stunning view of Flathead lake, with outdoor seating area. The private bathrooms are very upscale and beautiful. We have not stayed in B & B's much while traveling, and our experience at Outlook Inn has changed that forever !!! Michelle and her husband built and designed their home as a B & B. You can see and feel the passion in every detail! The open kitchen concept is awesome, and invites some great morning dialog with Michelle and guests ! She is quite accommodating to dietary requests. Every day Michelle created a custom 5* breakfast that was over the top ! She uses her own crop that is in season, local ingredients, along with their family favorite recipes ! While our goal was to visit Glacier Park most of the trip, many of the trails and park areas were closed due to early snow and or active Bear activity. Michelle having grown up in Montana ( 5th generation) was very helpful in providing recommendations of other local hiking areas ! Her suggestions fully met our needs and allowed us to see some very special areas we would have otherwise not had an opportunity to experience !! Their golden retriever "Sammy" and black cat "Olive" were an added bonus to us, as we are total animal lovers. Sammy and I had a fun time playing ball on the back lawn !! Wife and I stayed there last week, during the smoke issue. I have to say, we completely enjoyed our stay. Michelle and Todd were excellent host, and kept the place neat and clean. We loved every home made breakfast they provided for us. The location was great, the only downside is the roadway down the hill in front of it. You can not see it, but you can hear it during the busy hours. I enjoyed sitting outside and relaxing, the view would normally be great, but again, the smoke. Absolutely amazing bed and breakfast at Flathead Lake. Stay here! Traveled here from Chicago and didn't do much research but decided to stay at Outlook and lucked out. Best bed and breakfast I've stayed at thus far. Located at the north side of Flathead Lake in Somers. Michelle is the owner and is wonderful. She is filled with knowledge on the entire area, activities, and food. If you have any questions, ask her. The majority of the rooms are located on the lower level with walkout doors with a beautiful view of the lake. There is plenty of patio furniture too. The rooms themselves are perfect. The beds are more comfortable than my own at home. The sheets and blankets were high quality. I stayed in the Sportsman Room and had a queen bed, night stand, desk, chair, and wardrobe. And plenty of lights. The bathroom was a nice size and came with towels and some travel toiletries. Also, a hairdryer below the sink. There is a commons room for guests across the hall that featured a ton of information on fun activities in the area. The room also included a table & chairs, microwave, mini fridge, dishes & silverware, and games. For those who want extra privacy there is an exit door on the lower level so you can enter/exit without venturing upstairs. The breakfast was more than I could have expected. She is a wonderful cook and made interesting dishes that left me excited every morning for what she would come up with next. The morning we left, 630am, she left us a "hikers" breakfast for on the go. I felt like I actually lived there. Way better than any hotel I could've stayed at. Michelle was the sweetest woman who offered us her laundry room and offered to drive two of us to the airport. She even had an air compressor in her garage to help fill up our tire. The views of the lake from this B&B are beautiful, rooms are clean and food was good and fresh! The biggest downfalls were the road noise and the noise between the rooms - we could hear our neighbor talking and they could hear theirs snoring. The inn keeper could use to be a little more social/ welcoming. She was quiet which is totally fine, but taking a moment to explain everything upon guest's arrival rather than them having to ask questions (like where is our room) and maybe get settled before paying would be helpful. @growingfourlife read more

Highly recommend to anyone going to this area. Do not stay at the best western Kalispell trust me. Quiet , scenic, close to boat rentals, wild horse island you can jet ski or boat out to. This was our first trip ever to a B & B. We were a bit nervous, cuz you never know what to expect...Wow what a great time we had ! ! Michelle was a great hostess. She made us feel right at home. Stayed here and was quite unimpressed. The view of the lake was nice and the hired help for the summer, Courtney was very kind, however the owners themselves were lacking. During a 4 day stay our room never once had the bed made and even though on the 3rd day all of our towels were left on the floor as instructed so we could receive new ones, we returned that evening to still find wet, now mildewing towels on the floor. The walls were pretty thin and our last 2 nights there we were kept awake due to someone in the room over snoring. Not trying to be picky, it literally sounded like he was in the room with us. Just because someone snores in another room we shouldn't have to use earplugs and play white noise sounds to drown it out. One night when I did manage to fall asleep I awoke to a beetle bug crawling on me. I wasn't sure what it was that night but realized once I saw two more in the bathroom the next morning. Some of the breakfasts were good but there wasn't always enough food. The only real positive experience we had aside from the nice lake view was the owners hired help for the summer, "Courtney". She was very hospitable and seemed to do her best to pick up where the owners lacked. We would not stay here again. read more

Visited Bigfork in March and July of last year and stayed both times at the beautiful Outlook Inn in Somers. I just realized that I have not left my second review so here it goes...you really can believe all the 5 star reviews. Amazing food, amazing views, and amazing hosts! Centrally located to everything you need to get to in the Flathead Valley. What a wonderful home away from home. Going back in February to experience the Outlook Inn during the Winter months. Can't wait to sit by the fire and drink some Yard Sale Amber Ale from Tamarack Brewing Company in nearby Lakeside (did I mention the Outlook Inn is close to everything?). Misleading description. Can park anything bigger then a prius there. And only 3 spaces available. Have to walk 1/2 mile up a hill to get to it if you drive a truck. So free onsite parking is a huge lie. And they are greedy enough they wont let you out of the booking if you cant park there. Seams like false representation of what it really is. Stay clear if you drive a full size car or truck and dont feel like a hike up a steap hill with luggage after a long day. read more
