Rook piercing and transverse lobe. Will be changing the bar soon. Absolutely love my piercings.

I absolutely had a great time with my friends getting piercings done. It was really great experience and the prices were great. Lisa is an amazing piercer. She is really knowledgeable and sweet. It was really relaxing and chill when going there. I got my rook and transverse earlobe on the left side. This is now the only place I will go for piercings. Amazing price, and wonderful piercer. Super excited to get more down the line.

got a conch and another helix done today and it was a good experience! Lisa was very friendly and the piercing process was fairly quick and easy. for me, the pain for the helix was 4/10 and the conch, 6/10. the jewelry is so cute and the prices are affordable (yay lol), will definitely come back.

Got my anti eyebrow and septum done. When i tell you it was so fast!!!! Oh my gosh..! Everyone there had a great vibe and i felt so welcomed!! Definitely will be returning. The healing process was so easy with the provided instructions 10/10!

My daughter has gotten a couple piercings with Lisa and she is amazing. This last trip in was for my daughter and I getting our first tattoo. Gavin took the the time to make sure we were happy with design and comfortable. The tattoos came out amazing and we had such a pleasant experience. Every person that was working there were so chill and thoughtful. Definitely recommend this place and any artist there because they all are great.

I did this for myself. I was hesitant at first but I just go for big or go home. I went to see Lisa to get my piercing. I was at first so nervous and anxious about the procedure being done. I have never had this type of piercing before. Lisa was very thorough and strongly expressed how the after care is really important and is a must. After a week in and it looks so good. Swelling and bleeding stopped after 3 days and I'm cleaning it with saline 2x a day. The procedure was fast, took only 5 minutes and the rest was just talking , prepping only total of 10- 15 min and I was done. I think the pain at first was just me being nervous, then at the second nipple was just as smooth. Please visit Lisa if you want your nipples pierced! I felt sexy the minute I seen my girls in the mirror. I felt so good about my self and couldn't wait to start showing my girls off! I know I shocked my husband going through this, but I know deep down he enjoys it. Thank you Lisa soo much! Thanks for holding my hand along the way, you are AWESOME!

I came to the Ink Pit after reading a bunch of the reviews, and I'm glad that I did. My tattoo artist was Ray and he was super patient with me and event took the time to redraw my tattoo. After looking at the area I initially wanted the tattoo, and listening to my daily activities, he suggested not starting the tattoo on my arm and going under my clavicle due to me working out every day. I ended up positioning the tattoo on my chest area, still close to my clavicle but not directly under it, and defining not on my arm near the pit. I will definitely come back to see Ray for my back tattoo!

Added the flat and conch to my right ear.

Lisa is amazing!!! She is friendly and works quickly but efficiently. This is not my first time going to her and it definitely won't be my last time!!! I added the flat and conch to my right ear. She will let you know if you have the anatomy for the specified piercing you want to get.

Pricing of Piercings done by Lisa (3/2021) Appointments only. Call the shop to make them.

A couple days ago I ventured here to get a nose piercing from Lisa. I've had multiple piercings done by her in the past and they've all been fine. Lisa is very professional and super skilled at what she does! I like her technique. A lot of precision! The pricing on piercings is also very affordable! Piercings are done through appointments only, no walk-ins due to the pandemic. Making an appointment was super easy. Just call the shop and tell them you'd like to make an appointment. I was able to score an appointment for the day after I called. I was also asked for the my name, phone number and the type of piercing I wanted. And to call the shop when I got there and they'd let me in. I was running late to my appointment and I had called to inform them. Lisa answered and I asked if there were any other available appointments for the day. She told me there was one about an hour after the appointment I had originally scheduled for. I took it. I had gotten there waaaaay too early so I decided to order some food from the Kapalama Shopping Center a few blocks away. Then walked over when it got closer to the time of my appointment. Still early, I called the shop and Lisa answered. I let her know I was still early but she told me she could take me. Once inside at the counter she asked for my picture ID and made a copy of it on the form. Then she gave me a pen and the form to look over. I initialed acknowledging I read and understood each part. This was a consent form that outlined any potential risk, liabilities and more. She asked me which side I wanted the piercing done. I told her I wasn't sure. She gave me some good advice on deciding and reassured me that she could mark it and if I didn't like it she could change the placement. Once done with the form, I followed her into the piercing room. I saw the clean piercing needle still in the package. She poured some ink into a container to do the marking with. She cleaned off the area with a q-tip and Betadine. She asked me if I was set on stud jewelry only or thinking about hoops as well later on. This was really considerate! Placement would be important in order to be able to put in a hoop later on. I'm glad she asked this. I told her I'd want to put in a hoop later on. Then she marked it and I approved the location. Then came the moment of truth. I decided to close my eyes because I didn't want to see it happen, lol. Imma scaredy cat, shhhh. She pierced my nose super fast and put in the U-shaped nose jewelry immediately. Such skill and precision! The pain lasted probably a few seconds. My eyes reflexively watered instantly, just as they did when I had my septum piercing done here. And it was done. Super fast piercing. I asked what type of gauge it was and she told me 20. I took a selfie right after and if you zoom in, you can see the blood. Mines bled quite a lot. The blood did get on my mask, so if yalls have a fabric mask you might wanna consider this if you're getting a nose piercing. The nose is pretty vascular I learned. She also gave me an information and aftercare instruction sheet. Very useful. Make sure you read and follow that for the best results! I also like the LITHA method I learned from a body modification forum. It stands for "Leave It The Hell Alone", lol XD Today is day 5 and my piercing is doing good. Been doing some salt and water cleanings on it errday. She told me in about a month I could switch the jewelry out. ____________ I remember when I used to attend Honolulu Community College right across the street from the shop. That had to have been eons ago... 2009 until 2014. Hole-y mole-y! At the time my friends and I were all into piercings. One of my classmates had a brand new piercing and I asked them where they had it done, they told me about this shop. My friends and I decided to check it out. Over a period of like 2 years, I got multiple piercings from Lisa. I think it started with a tragus piercing and a 2nd helix/ cartilage piercing, both in the my ear. She put in 16 gauge stainless steel jewelry, a simple labret in the tragus and a captive bead ring in the helix. I had already had one cartilage piercing in that ear that I wanted the 2nd one to align with. I explained this to Lisa and she was very careful in planning the alignment. I have to say the hardest ear piercing I've had was the tragus. Mines swelled up a lot and stayed irritated for very long. I had to baby it a lot with sea salt + water mixture rinses. It took well over a year for this baby to finally heal. I also got a lower lip piercing, a tongue piercing and a septum piercing. The lower lip and septum were both 16 gauge. The tongue was 14 gauge. The septum piercing is the one I still have to this day. I had lost the staple jewelry in it I had it pierced with and contacted Lisa to see if I could buy another one. She was very helpful and I was able to go to the shop to get another one the same day. I got these piercings done around 2014, I included pictures.

For appointments, i called the # and left a message and she called back a day or two. Plenty of parking in the front of the store. She accepts card. Due to covid, you have to wait outside the store, call the # posted and she'll let you in. I guess only 1 customer at a time. Her expertise is proven already. She didn't use an ear piercer gun. I just had a cartilage ear pierce done at Claire's 2 weeks ago and didn't feel anything. But today, with my new cartilage piercings, I surrendered and put lidocaine ointment on the surrounding skin (away from the site) and took Tylenol. It hurts.. and I'm normally good with pain. The tragus surprisingly isn't sore at all.

    So happy!

"I'm wearing short sleeves, I don't want to expose my tattoos."…read more-Jerry Seinfeld Well now I DO wanna wear short sleeves to let my new honu peek out a bit! Been wanting to get a honu ink'd to remind me of where I came from... where home really is. Everytime I go back, I run out of time or just didn't want to give up the beach day. This time the whole fam was IN... when I explained my design concept, both my wife and daughter wanted their own version, still honu themed. da Scene: Determined to get this done done during the 16 day visit back home on Oahu, I did my research early and narrowed it down to 3 spots initially. After some dm's, email exchanges and finally some voice calls, it was Lai @ Tattoo Hawaii who I connected with most, so we scheduled an in-person consult and then our sessions, with 2 days left on our trip - only lost 1 beach day (it was a perfect one too). da Service: Every contact before our session was courteous and replied to promptly. I did have to be insistent on Lai doing our work, even if it meant spanning multiple days. His work on social media and Yelp! most connected with me. At our consult he explained how he would approach my design concept and adapt it to my wife and daughter. Lai was confident he could get us all done in one afternoon/evening session. The shop is tucked away on the 2nd floor of a little building on the corner of Kapiolani and Piikoi... parking is a challenge, so arrive early to wait out a spot. The shop is comfortable and can accommodate 3-4 artists working, with friends looking on in support. da Work: Kai was up 1st as hers would be the least complicated. She went with 3 petroglyph style honu, each about 3.5" diameter, ink'd fairly heavy - vertically on her upper arm, pretty classic design. She has several tattoos already and was surprised that Lai didn't work with a stencil... he simply free-handed the design with several pens, directly on your body. He's a very cool, confident cat, laid back and within minutes has you chatting it up like you went to high school together. I went next as my wife wanted to see how mine's worked out to help solidify her concept. Lai drew a honu/dragon/shark tooth design on my upper arm and I said "go for it". 2.5 hours later I was stunned at the fine details he added to the shark's teeth encircling the honu shell, as well as tribal accents in the honu, while incorporating the dragon profile. It really was satisfying to see my concept executed closely, while adding style and depth, bringing it to life. Carla was last up and really wanted to stick close to what I had done... just smaller and wanted the dragon to "pop" more. As you can see, Lai nailed it... however subtle, the dragon does appear more prominent on her piece. da Wrap: Really happy all-around, already thinking about how to add to it, maybe add color, grow it further down my arm, how to add to the story. It's a very personal thing and I really suggest you take your time to research and find the right artist. I'm confident that you'll find the right one at Tattoo Hawaii. We were there most of the day and saw several folks and artists' work, there was actually one guy there the whole time getting a large whole body piece worked on with a manual tattoo tool, that's an investment! HUGE shout out to Lai for making our sessions so enjoyable and comfortable... When he found out it was my and my wife's 1st work, he said he was honored to be 1st... such a humble guy, great disposition. We'll see you soon brother!

I ultimately chose this shop because the artists here are so talented. It was actually quite hard to narrow it down and choose which artist I wanted to do my ink - they're all crazy talented. But then I fell in love with a design I saw and I selected Brian and sent him an email to begin correspondence. When I arrived in Oahu I went by and we discussed what I wanted and I made and appointment and put down a deposit. My appointment was for Friday 2/9 at noon. Brian had drawn up the design for me that included the elements I asked for and it was even more beautiful than anything I had pictured. He managed to incorporate the ocean sunset design I loved, altered it to include flowers instead of leaves and he worked in the Polynesian element I wanted. He massively exceeded my expectations. The appointment was great. Brian is a skilled tattoo artist, he is very personable and I enjoyed talking with him as he used his 6-7 colors of black and grey to create my tattoo. I am very pleased with the result. Everything he used was new/disposable and he was meticulous in his care of keeping everything as clean and sterile as possible. I highly recommend this shop and Brian.

I didn't have the needle to put the piercing back in and since it was still relatively new, I knew the chances of it closing were high, especially since the same thing of my hair yanking the piercing out in the shower had just happened to me the month prior. It was half-closed in less than twelve hours! I had originally wanted to stop off at another spot but their piercer wasn't in. What? So I opened Yelp and found this place a short distance away. We decided to return for another tattoo this trip. My daughter got a beautiful red flower (we knew red ink tends to fade faster), and I got a beach scene with palm trees. Both tattoos came out lovely, truly 5-star-worthy work. The reason for my 3-star review isn't about the artwork but the experience afterward. While my daughter was in the lobby, the staff were admiring her tattoo, which was nice to hear, but then the conversation turned to comments about how the red ink wouldn't last and other remarks that weren't so positive. We completely understand the nature of red ink and appreciate honesty, but it's not great to overhear that kind of discussion right after getting a tattoo. For many people, including us, tattoos often hold sentimental meaning, they represent moments, memories, and people close to our hearts, even if we don't always share that story out loud. So, a little extra sensitivity goes a long way. Overall, the artistry and quality of the work are top-notch, but I'd just recommend being mindful of conversations when clients are still around to hear them.
