Thank goodness for Yelp! I found this shop when searching for a place to get a small tattoo while here on vacation. It had great reviews and was only a 5 minute walk from my hotel. I dropped in on Monday and found that it was Cash Only so I came back in Tuesday night to put in my deposit. Since my request was small, they were able to fit me into Neil's already tight schedule - first appt of the day on Thursday! Shop was super clean and kept cool, which was a relief from the heat outside. Music played was also my style so I was able to get comfortable. Neil was great at distracting me with small talk and I'm super thankful for that! He did an amazing job (of course!) and I would totally recommend him to anyone looking to get a tattoo in the future! Overall amazing experience! Thanks Neil and Suite Dreamz Tattoo! read more

Second tattoo here and Neil is a bad ass. Shop is clean, a little hidden but definitely worth finding. He sketched out the idea and was open to any input I had but I had full trust in him. He does great work and definitely was affordable for being in Waikīkī and cheaper than a lot of Vegas places where I live. I recommend and will Definitely be back read more

While visiting Waikīkī, I decided that I needed to get a tattoo before I went back to the mainland. My friend decided she wanted to get her first one too. I looked at reviews on Yelp and this place had great results. Was able to schedule an appointment for the day before we left. Sent a couple inspiration photo's, came in for our appointment with some additional details (colors, size, location). Sammi drew us some samples, we decided on size and he got to work. I absolutely love my new tattoo! read more

When in Honolulu, this is the go-to tattoo shop! This is my second time here. This time around I brought my daughter to get her first tattoo. Sam always takes good care of us and ensures consistency and satisfaction. The vibe is casual and comfortable. We will continue to come here for our annual trip to the island. Mahalo, Sam and Suite Dreamz! My only gripe is parking in the lot of the building is tight and pricey. However, there isn't always street parking. read more

Amazing quality and service!!! I reached out to get a quote for a tattoo my nieces wanted in memory of their mother. They were so nice and accommodating to us. Niece 1's tattoo took about 7 hours. She got a half sleeve tribal. Just look at the quality! Niece 2 got a tribal band on her thigh. Both girls felt safe, welcome, and heard. Neil took the time and care to make sure the tribal design represented their Samoan culture, even incorporating the 'Malu' design. Can't wait to come back and get some more!! read more

Mr Clean - awesome job drawing me 3 different versions of what I wanted and line work was fantastic, definitely will be back.

I found Suite Dreamz tattoo via Yelp and IG and so glad I came in. I initially reached out on IG, but made the smart choice to come in a book a tattoo appt since I wanted it on my last day before flying back home. Sammie greeted me and explained everything clearly. I ended up choosing Neil for my tattoo and he introduced himself too after wrapping up a session. I showed him what I was looking for and he gave me an estimate. I put down a deposit to book the appointment. Do note they are CASH ONLY! Day of the appointment I went in the shop and Neil sat down with me on drawing out the tattoo. He freehanded my ankle/foot wrap and incorporated all the ideas I wanted it to represent perfectly! Neil even took the time to explain the symbols and meanings to me, which I really appreciated. I went with a Marquesan/Polynesian look since I didn't want it too bold, and Neil even threw in some Filipino tribal to honor my culture. During the session, they played all the DJ Noiz jams haha I also asked if they knew any shops with Saniderm to buy, and he went ahead and wrapped me up with it after our appointment. Definitely come to Suite Dreamz for your tattoo, you won't regret it! I know I'll be back :-) read more

I got my second tattoo here while visiting in hawaii and it was one of the best experiences ever! My artist was sam and he was amazing very easy to talk to and made sure my tattoo was just how I liked it. 10/10 would go here again. So if you are visiting in hawaii or even live there this is the place to go. The environment was so nice great music and very clean. They have a great size studio as well. No doubt in my mind if I am ever back in the area I would come again. Also I contacted them through their instagram and they were amazing on all the details and setting up an appointment. 3rd time with Neil!!! Every year we visit the island and want to get a tattoo and the past three times we started a new tradition to get a small tattoo with Neil! We didn't come last year because we were with family but this year we scheduled to get one a month in advanced. Paid a $50 deposit for each person. When we arrived, Neil remembered us i think that's so cool because he sees a million people a year I'm sure. He makes sure we love the placement of our tattoos before starting. He makes us feel like regulars; talks about life, family, news, sports, etc. he's such a cool person and we always recommend to come here! Can't wait to see you next year!! read more

Absolutely love this tattoo shop! Neil was the most accommodating tattoo artist I have ever been to. The tribal piece he gave me on my forearm was super sick and it didn't stop there. After he heard my lady and I haven't been to zippy's he not only took us and bought us dinner but gave us a ride back to our hotel! 5 years later I have travelled back to Hawaii and had my tattoo done by Neil again. This time fixing up my original tattoo, and covering up my first armband. (done by other artists) I highly recommend Neil. He went above and beyond my expectations. Especially with the cover up of the arm band. The shop is in a great location in Waikiki. The 8 hour sitting went extremely quickly with great conversations about Hawaii living. Neil was also super accomodating, allowing my wife and two sons to sit in for a few hours. First of all professional. Customer service from first step was attentive, connecting us to what we wanted, no BS, no undue hype - just helpful. Neil made time for us following a long full day session. A couple quick line tattoos we wanted, he designed one quick and made adjustments to fit the area. Husband chose an image from portfolio, Neil modified it a bit for him. Came out so good. His first tattoo experience and it was a snap. After visiting many other shops as we strolled Waikiki, this was the one that felt right. Check their stuff, it looks good, fair price, comfortable process. It's a good vibe in there but not like you're at someone else's party. Real good balance. Will be back! read more

Amazing service at the newest location on hickam Air Force base. Very friendly people once we walked in. The environment was fun and inviting for anyone who was coming In to check out the place. The tattoo itself as a last minute walk in request turned out better than I had expected. My artist @mistercleantat2 was clean with his work and made the whole process fun and super enjoyable. I actually plan to rebook with him in the next month to get a couple more pieces done by him. Before flying home, I wanted some Polynesian tribal flow added to the scorpion I got more than 10 years ago. I asked for something slightly more feminine and not crazy bold... Neil freehanded this and even did it in a gray so it would be as bold in a stark black. I could not be happier with how it turned out! Oh and not only did he fit me in last minute (I reached out via Instagram message after hours my last night on Oahu, but he completed it almost an hour quicker than he'd estimated, so I had plenty of time to go back to the hotel, grab some food and make my flight that evening. read more

Without hesitation, Suite Dreamz Tattoo was a 5 out of 5. I started reviewing and checking out artists 9 months prior to our trip to Hawaii. As a "out of towner" and and new to a large tattoo, I was a bit intimidated by the whole process, but when I reach out to @suitedreamztattoo, they were very quick to respond, and very friendly. They made me feel like family right at that moment. Anytime I had a question I could text them or hit them up on instagram and they were quick to respond back (please respect and understand the time difference if you are communicating from the states). Neal (aka: @mistercleantat2) is the man!! He was the one who did my tattoo and went purely off my inspirations to create an absolute FIRE design. This dude is so skilled in the Poly tattoo art and will absolutely crush any idea you come up with. His freehand skills are out of this world. While I was getting a tattoo, one of his regular clients popped in and asked me why I was here. I was confused at first but the question was rhetorical. His client stated "because he's the best on the island!" You can't go wrong with any of these guys in here...talent across the board. I watched client after client come in and get work done, and they all walked out stoked sporting their new ink. Do yourself a favor and come see @mistercleantat2 and his crew. You'll come in and feel welcomed from the beginning, but feel like Fam at the end. This artwork I received will pave the way, and inspiration for a full sleeve. Mahalo! read more

TLDR; I am extremely satisfied and glad I went to Jack at Suite Dreamz in Honolulu for the first two tattoos of my life. I'm from the Bay Area, California and could have gotten my first tattoos done at the numerous tattoo shops back at home but having had the work done by Jack, I am glad I decided to get it done in Hawaii. --- I've been wanting to get a tattoo on at least one of my arms for many years but have never committed to going. Alas, on this Oahu trip, I decided it was time. I came up with ideas of what I wanted and ended up wanting two for my "first tattoo". I was staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki and wanted to find a place with good reviews within walking distance and a google search came up with a dozen or so places. I contacted Suite Dreamz because of their great reviews and the fact their few negative reviews were not due to the tattoo work itself -- but from people who didn't actually get tattoo work done through them. I shared what I was looking for and when I was hoping to get it done and the man over the phone suggested I come in for a consultation. Finding the place was a bit difficult at first because Google Maps leads you to the front of a hotel and it's a bit unclear if the place is in the hotel or what. Anyhow, once found, I noticed a display on the front window indicating that take cash only. Inside, the place was very well lit, clean and tidy, and quite spacious. I consulted with Jack (Pule) as he was available on the date I wanted to get the tattoos done. Consultation went fairly smoothly -- I shared with him one of the designs I conjured up (two golf clubs crossing to form an 'X' shape, surrounded by a banner with my two kids' names on it) and explained to him the second design (sea turtle surrounded by water pattern arm band). From that and asking about size of the tattoos, he gave me an approximate duration and price quote. With a $50 deposit (goes towards total price at the end), I had my appointment set. Jack also shared with my his instagram page that had a ton of photos of his work. I found a sea turtle design on his IG page that I really liked and had not seen in my numerous searches for sea turtle tattoo ideas on google so I texted him that I'd like to have a similar sea turtle for my tattoo. Jack was very responsive and that really helped reassure me of my choice to go with Jack and Suite Dreamz for my very first tattoo. Fast forward to the day of the appointment, Jack promptly greeted me as I arrived 8 minutes late, went over the two designs he sketched out for the two tattoos I was getting done so I can see the designs as well as sizes. Both designs and sizes were perfect. After signing waiver forms, he transferred the designs to my arms and was very meticulous and aligning the designs on my arms. He had me review the placement in the mirror and the inking began. As with the alignment of the design, Jack was very meticulous with the actual tattoo work itself. The tattoos on both arms came out very clean, clear, and with the perfect level of details and shading. He didn't try to rush through any portion of it and even turned down a walk-in customer who was hoping to get a small tattoo done that night -- respecting the fact he had reserved the multi-hour appointment for my tattoos. Super cool dude and was very friendly throughout the whole process. read more

I got my tattoo done 5 months ago on 8/6/21. After weeks of research reading yelp and google reviews, also checking pictures of the artist work on IG, etc I choose this shop to get my first tattoo while in Honolulu. Neil was the best, I'm so glad I chose him to do my thigh band. I came to the shop on Monday and asked if I could book an appointment with him on Friday. I paid a deposit and was all set. Friday afternoon, I showed him an inspiration pic and told him what I wanted. He gave me his opinion, and let me know exactly what he would do. He made the experience so easy, and he's a bomb ass artist! He was hella cool, made good conversation and that def helped take my mind off the pain. I was expecting I would be in tears, but I barely felt it lol. The shop is clean, good environment, location was a little tricky, but I went to the hotel front desk and they showed me where the shop was on the side of the building (I literally walked past it 5 times). There is an ATM machine in the hotel lobby. He did my tattoo FREEHAND !! Bro is so dope. It took about 4 1/2 hours and cost was $525. Before I left Hawaii, I got so many compliments about my piece in the Airport and at the hotel. Overall great experience, 5 stars would definitely recommend. I plan on going back in a few months to get my tattoo touched up since I sucked at following the aftercare instructions. Lol I wish somebody would have told me how bad these things itch when it starts to heal read more
