Love love love this shop, particularly Natalie!!! I had been wanting an Orion constellation tattoo (my son's name), and a friend and I also wanted Honu tattoos. Natalie does the most amazing delicate line work, did both exactly how I envisioned, and was also so fun to chat with while getting them done. The healing process has been so much easier and more pleasant than past tattoos I've had, which I'm definitely attributing to her style and light hand. Came in wanting to honor my late daughter, Lily. Natalie was very accommodating with the design I wanted. Great tattoo shop, that got 4 of us in 24 hours notice! We were promptly contacted by Ziska through email. She scheduled the two smaller tattoos with Akio, he did a great job. The two larger with Jorge I was seen by Jorge, it was a great experience. He created a seahorse for me, and put it together with not much notice. My first appointment with Ziska was in August of 2021. I fell in love with her style and professionalism and knew immediately I wanted her to design a sleeve for me. Since then I have had 10 sessions and counting on a full color sleeve. I had so many ideas and Ziska was extremely patient and communicative throughout the design process to help me bring those ideas to life. She's a great listener who provides valuable feedback regarding design and color choices, and always works with me when I change my mind about colors, placement, and design. She blends the use of stencils and hand drawn elements to ensure each design perfectly fits my body. The photos I've attached to this review are of my still in progress sleeve, and the matching botanical pieces she did for a friend and I. These matching pieces were hand drawn so that our different body types would still have the perfect placement of the main elements. Overall, I cannot recommend Ziska enough. I found Jorge (@at1m3nt) at Lilium tattoo (@liliumtattoohawaii) through his IG after doing a deep dive on tattoo artists in O′ahu in February of 2024. I was looking for an artist that had done birds in color and on varying skin color-tones. When I saw the Quetzal in his IG feed, I was committed to talking to him about my tattoo idea. When I first came to the Lilium tattoo shop I was greeted by Martin and his energy and friendly disposition was very welcoming. The shop is set up with a chill ambience, comfortable fashionable seating, great scents and music. I connected with Jorge on so many levels during my first brainstorming session. He is very patient and likes to use visuals (his iPad) to help explain his trajectory of my tattoo idea and the placement on my inner forearm. He always checked to see if I was on board with his suggestions. Both of us are very excited about placing a Quetzal on my inner forearm. I decided to do a smaller tattoo before the big one since this is my first ever tattoo experience and I am in my early forties. Jorge was flexible with the scheduling of the tattoo appointment. His bedside manner before, during and after the tattoo session was on point and I felt very reassured and comfortable. The session lasted about 3 and half hours and we took breaks. He explained why he used a specific needle size and was honest about the pain level to be expected-which I totally loved. I especially liked it when he showed me the expiration dates on each ink bottle. I also liked his explaining why he liked certain colors. Ziska is an incredible artist. She was so quick to respond to messages and was extremely reliable. Her work really speaks for itself but I'll still gush about it: we explained what we wanted but still gave her artistic freedom and boy did she deliver! She needed very little guidance with our design, with little explanation of what we wanted, she knew exactly how to design our tattoo. She was really fast and light handed during the entire process. Bonus, she's also a pleasure to be around. I think she's the perfect artist, no matter if it's your 1st tattoo or your 100th! I had a look at her portrait work in her portfolio and it's incredible! I've been following her on Insta and FB for two years now and really couldn't wait to get work done by her. The shop was really nicely decorated and everyone was very nice and professional. These are well established and experienced artists and you immediately feel welcomed when you walk through the door. Their minimum is the cheapest in Honolulu. The entire shop uses Vegan friendly supplies. I'm not Vegan but I've had vegan artists tattoo me before and I've found Vegan ink to stay brighter far longer than non-vegan ink. The owner was there and he was hilarious and fun to be at round as well. I personally feel getting a tattoo isn't just about the tattoo, but the experience as well. What a phenomenal experience! I recently visited my friend on an extended trip in Honolulu and we decided to get tattoos to commemorate our 40th bdays! We spend a couple weeks researching tattoo places in the area before going to visit the Naughty Vegan. From the moment we walked in, we knew this was the place for us. Everyone was super chill and kind. They walked us through the process and answered all of our questions. We each put down a deposit and scheduled our appointments for the day before I left to maximize beach time! My friend had her tattoo done by Bert and Toni did mine. Over the course of the next week, we sent them tons of ideas of the concepts we had in mind. They were both super receptive and communicative throughout the process. We showed to our appts and were blown away by the designs Toni and Bert had waiting for us! These guys are incredible artists! My friend said Bert had a light touch and her tattoo came out amazing! Toni was very personable and could tell I was nervous! He did a great job of distracting me with conversation and checked in with me constantly to make sure I was ok. Since I was heading out the next day, Toni used Saniderm to wrap my tattoo. I took it off after 5 days and it's almost completely healed! Toni's work exceeded my expectations and I'm totally in love with my tattoo and can't stop looking at it! I can't wait to come back next summer and have Toni give me another tattoo!! read more

This place is amazing. One of the things that impressed me is that they were able to take three of us as walk-ins on a Saturday and everyone of us left with exactly what we wanted. Our tattoo artist, Chris, was incredibly talented. He managed to make adjustments to the photos of the tattoos that we want so that they looked perfect. He is also a master of shading. I got a moon that I have wanted for years and it looks better than I ever could have imagined. The best part of this place and the reason they have made three loyal customer -- all of whom have had tattoos done elsewhere-- is the vibe. Everyone in this shop was incredibly friendly and down to earth. We couldn't stop talk about how nice everyone was after... something that doesn't normally happen when leaving a tattoo shop. This place is AMAZING! Located in Chinatown, easy location right off of Nimitz Highway with a parking structure available right next to it! I'm reviewing the Tattoo studio. My artist was Franziska and I cannot give her enough stars! She's amazing and her visions and designs are awesome! If you're looking for great color, she loves to do realism type art. But even if you're not, she's amazing regardless. I told her my ideas and concepts i wanted to include. She understood it, and FREE HANDED the design right on my forearm! I chose her because she was recommended to me by a friend and that she was really good at colors. My lace floral design was completed in 2 sessions. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her if you are wanting color! The details and the shading of colors she used makes it look so real! Would definitely get more work done with her! The studio is clean and has awesome art throughout the whole studio. The other artists and owner are all pretty nice and looks like they all just have a good time joking with one another. Good vibes at that studio! I follow Bri on social media, as she has done two of my friend's tattoos before. I have inquired to her about a back piece and am still waiting on that. I however saw that ahimsa was doing friday the 13th tattoos. Ahimsa used to be the naughty vegan yoga & tattoos, but recently changed their name. They use vegan products and most of the artists are also with the lifestyle. The spread looked legit And i had my eye on the cat ones. The deal was a premade art $50 or $80 sheet and only arms and legs. Im pretty yatted (though you cant tell because they are all concealed by clothes) so this was my first showing tattoo. When i got there, i was greeted by Kim, whomst i fell madly in love with (no homo). Bri and i got to talking a little bit more about the back piece i wanted. Then i chose a $50 tattoo since i was there and it was a pretty epic design. Kim was helping them out and we started talking. She helped me open up and we chatted while bri was prepping for my special tattoo. I chose the back of my left arm on my tricep close to my elbow. I was very scared, but she made me feel comfortable and also counted down til the needle hit my skin. About 30 mins later, i had a baby and it made me a proud daddy. Here is a picture of my baby. My boyfriend and I walked in hoping to make very short notice appointments - mind you, we were on really tight schedules (we had a friend's wedding to attend & were only there for a week). Toni and Chris were SO accommodating. They both came in on their days off because we weren't able to come in any other day with our busy schedules & before heading back to DC. My boyfriend saw Toni, who was awesome to talk to and made the process so easy. A true perfectionist in his craft. I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience at Lilium with Ziska! It was my first tattoo, and I was very nervous. I was looking for a vegan tattoo and found Lilium. I decided to just reach out to chat about what I should expect if I go through with it and about my tattoo idea. Ziska responded immediately even though it was late at night and answered all of my questions! We then scheduled a consultation at the shop. I immediately loved the spa-like ambiance and everything about the space was very welcoming. I was so thankful that Ziska made some recommendations on my proposed idea based on her expertise. She also made sure to show me all the products they use are vegan which I really appreciated! My go to tattoo place because it has some amazing artists. My artist is Xavier and I love his style. He's extremely nice and works well to create something you'll love. I've gotten my forearm tattoo done by him and my mom got 2 tattoos as well. If you care about the ink going in you, they use cruelty free products which is a bonus. I also live out on the west side, but it's worth the drive to me. They take walk ins, which is convenient. I've always made appointments though. Since it is in Chinatown, parking will be a bit difficult, unless you park down the street in the parking lot for about $4 (subject to change based on the owners).
