Elitist better-than-thou clientele negates any interest in this neighborhood bar. Because I live very close to this bar, I have to listen to 20-somethings shouting and cajoling at all hours, and this would be just fine with me if I could partake in the fun. But when I step across the street from my home and order a drink at IQ, it's like I strolled in there reeking of horse poop, wearing bell bottoms and speaking Swahili. I couldn't be made more acutely aware that I'm not young enough, or look rich enough, to be there. Places like this either learn better, or lose their fickle young clientele in the first year. I hope IQ can figure it out. I'm here for the long haul, even if the old Gun Cabinet closes its doors yet again. read more

The Indian Queen is by far the easiest bar to like in Augusta. Ran by an exceptional staff and they pride them self's on putting a great drink in your hand at any cost. Warm and appealing is the feeling I get from the rustic layout of the entire bar and you will feel right at home. Try their new infused liquors (especially the pecan whiskey, made in house) in a premium old fashioned, crazy good. Short drink menu but they are seasonal, and the staff goes out of their way to explain and elaborate or modify any drink to your liking. The building itself is aesthetically pleasing with ample sitting areas, including outdoors and upstairs. It's a chill bar and not a dance club. The onsite parking is limited. It could really benefit from a second bar as it can get really packed. The crowd seems to mostly be military personnel and college students. read more

Kind of a hidden gem I found through Yelp. I typically just drink beer but this place makes their drinks with fresh fruit. Inside has a beautiful bar and friendly staff. Tried a Moscow Mule and some other Raspberry Rum drink. So good it make you want to go home and try to make another, when you fail, you will go back for more. read more

It is such a chill place to be, especially in the weekdays. The bartenders are welcoming and I always have a fun time there.

Love this place. Probably the only classy bar in Augusta. It gets very crowed on the weekends, but that's because its such a great place to hangout. They need to add some darker beers, like a Sam Smith Taddy Porter or something besides just IPAs. Otherwise still a great place. read more

Place is very cool in a nice part of town. Looks like a cabin on the inside with a fireplace on one side of the space. Comfortable seating outside with tvs on both the inside and outside that are great for sports events. The reason it doesn't get the fifth star is the beer selection and signature cocktail menu is limited considering this place is strictly a bar with no kitchen for food to eat while you are there. Signature cocktails are going to run you about 10 bucks a pop. read more

I visited the Indian Queen the other day to grab a few drinks. To my surprise, the place was packed, but mainly for the Georgia vs. Auburn game. The ambiance is that of a upscale cabin in the woods. It's cozy with couches inside and outside. The outside area has heaters in case you want to sit outside and enjoy your drinks. They has some drink specials on the wall. Most of them featured whiskey. I tried a drink with maple syrup. The name escapes me, but I enjoyed it. They also have an upstairs area, which I didn't visit. The staff told me that there is more furniture, but no TVs. This is a place I'd like to visit again with more friends and absent of screaming sports fans. I don't really follow it, so.... The only drawback that I can see is the parking. There's a small gravel lot and a few spaces directly in front. So, get there early for good parking. read more

One of my favorite places in town! They don't serve food, which is totally fine, because their drinks are delicious enough to compensate. Ask for some Chex Mix if you're hungry though! And every now and then they have a food truck in the parking lot, but don't bank on it. They make cocktails fresh, which is really unique for a bar in Augusta. The bartenders are really friendly and accommodating. Clean bathrooms, an excellent porch with comfortable seating, indoor balcony, and a fireplace for cold winter nights. I think they have a daily Happy Hour until 7PM--$1 off everything. Definitely recommended! read more

The INDIAN QUEEN is actually my neighborhood bar, so we love to walk there and enjoy a couple of drinks after work. I compare it to Partridge Inn, but much better. The atmosphere is awesome, if you like the log cabin thing (which I do), and the drinks are great because they use lots of fresh ingredients (fresh cranberries, mint,and they make their own sour mix!) The crowd was not as mixed as I would prefer (I am a veteran and I like a melting pot of people) but the service is great and even though I was the only black women with an afro in the whole place I didn't feel strange our out of place!!Definitely give them a try if you are looking to have a great drink with some cool people! read more

Great Neighborhood Bar. Walking distance from the summerville area. Great Bartenders. Look forward to making this a post work happy hour or a post dinner night cap stop. The summer drink specials here are some of my favorites in Augusta. I forget the name but there was one drink that really rocked my world, made up of sweet berries and jalapeño slivers! Holy cow remembering it is making me salivate! Ha! During the off hours the bartenders are especially accommodating and will make up drinks on the fly. I like this bar enough to sport their gear locally and when I travel. There are great times to visit this establishment, happy hour Mon-Thurs to experience the laid back ambiance and/or Friday-Saturday nights where the crowd and conversation are electric and larger than life! Once you find which crowd tickles your fancy it will be hard to stay away from the Indian Queen. read more

A good bar conveniently located within walking distance from my house. I like the relaxed atmosphere that is much different than bars downtown. Its located in the old gun cabinet and gives a great log cabin feel. You can rent out a cabinet and save your own liquor for a monthly fee which is pretty neat. I like : its not smoky inside, good parking and a crums truck outside on the weekends. I dont like that they dont have anything on tap and some of the bartenders have been pretty rude a few times. Parking is awful, drinks are overpriced, no pool tables or darts, no dancing. The only good things about this place are the actual drinks and service. They do a good job. However, no one should charge that much for drinks and there is legit no parking. All you get to do is drink and sit on the couch and make conversation. Nothing to really play or have fun with. And the worst part is the crowd that goes there. The typical augusta dousche bags. Backwards visors looking like they just got off the links with cigars on hand and the most expensive drink they could find trying to impress the best bible bashing Georgia girl. This bar is a pretty cool place to hang out on weekdays, especially thursday. On the weekends it is crazy busy, I'm not opposed to big crowds, but I'm not a huge fan, probably because I don't wear V necks and gel my hair. read more

I've returned to Indian Queen a couple of times since my last review. While the pricey drinks haven't changed, I think I initially undervalued the the atmosphere. It really is THE reason to come to IQ, not the drinks. The weather was nice today and sitting outside on the huge porch was so relaxing. I also noticed a nice TV in the bar that'd be great for watching games in smaller groups. The bar needs to work on their beer and liquor selection. read more

Definitely not your downtown augusta type bar.....so far the classiest bar I've been too. Dress code for the most part is dressy, so if you feel like dressing up a bit this is the place....which kinda confused me at first cause I usually don't dress up to go to just a bar.....drinks were cheap and strong. My red bull vodka was 4.50. Music was not my cup of tea, idk if this is every weekend, I went on a Friday and they played Etta James type mixed with country so no dancing. Can get very crowed, parking sucks. Overall good to just hang out and meet new people. read more

Fun Place. They have really good whiskey drinks and a couple of craft specialties. Atmosphere is pretty good. You can tell it's the trendy spot for the 21-30 crew. I love the outdoor seating and change up of specialty drinks. The crowd was split between locals and GRU students so it was interesting to see their interactions. The Indian Queen is by far our favorite place in Augusta to go to get a good drink and relax. We have been during the afternoon to watch Georgia games, during lower key week day nights, and we have also been on some evenings when it is completely packed. Every single time we have been welcomed by smiling faces, an inviting atmosphere, and amazing drinks. The bar is located in a log cabin and looks awesome. We love relaxing on the outside patio or inside on one of the comfortable couches. Do yourself a favor and check it out! read more

One of the few places that's not downtown that has drinks and is open late. Prices on drinks range from decent to way too much of a markup. The inside of the venue seems pretty nice, but can't be appreciated too much when it's packed with people. Just don't go with incredibly high expectations and you'll be fine here. read more

There is no direct path to the door so you have to make a long walk up a ramp. The interior is warm and rustic. The background music is appropriate for the venue and is at an appropriate level as not needing to have to talk above it to be heard. They have a decent selection of higher end liquors, a decent selection of wines, and their beer selection... well there is no better way of saying it than their beer selection sucks. No draft and very limited bottle selection with the prices on the beer being high. I tried 3 of the 4 mixed drink specials and they tasted fine. All their mixed drinks use fresh herbs(though my mint leaf in my mojito had a bad spot in it), fruits, and fruit juices but a bar that considers themselves a high end cocktail bar, charging $8 for a rather small cocktail using low end wells like bartons vodka and another low end rum really isn't acceptable. We were there around 9 pm and I understand having to prep fruit juices but does it need to be done at the bar. The errrr errrrrrrrrrr errrrrrrrrrrr of the machine as the worker smashes a lime into it ruins the atmosphere. The metal stools at the bar have no padding and were uncomfortable. The bar itself is very nice looking but unclean. When the bartender set my drink in front of me on a napkin, I could not remove the napkin from the bar. The crowd that the bar attracks is the khaki short polo shirt crowd. The bar has potential but I take away a star because the bar was as sticky as any dive bar I have been to, I take away a star for the uncomfortable chairs, long entry and poor parking, and I take away a star for the use of low end liquor in a $8 cocktails read more

Went here for drinks after dinner at another restaurant. The bar used to be a gun store (which I happen to have bought a handgun from several years ago). And it still feels the same, all woodsy log cabin with thick beams and dark features. It was a Wednesday night and very sparsely attended. So my fellow imbibers and I got quick service. Our bartender was bright and helpful. However, right away there were oddities as we asked about available cocktails. She said they had no fresh fruit except lime slices. No flavored vodkas. No liqueurs. There was a chalkboard with four signature drinks for $8 a piece, and it even listed the drink ingredients. I immediately thought it was cool they advertised how these drinks were made but then they don't have the standard ingredients most bars carry to make other drinks? As more patrons arrived, more bar-help showed up. One very rambunctious bartender tried to make small talk by calling out my friend on his face, which had reddened due to the heat, drinking, or whatever. It felt like when an intellectually awkward jock tries to join in on a political discussion. Just stop. The men's bathroom had only one dim bulb. Gave it a sultry, intimate feel...which I never want to experience in a men's bathroom. read more

If it was possible to give no stars, I would. First of all, I'm not even from here, I'm from South Florida. I was recommended this place by a couple friends and had already kind of seen the night life of Augusta on broad street. Well me and two of my close friends from the area decide to make a trip to this bar. Upon walking up to the bouncer, he asks for our IDs'. Seen it coming and we all pulled our ids out, my two buddies were first to be carded and then I was. The bouncer looks my Florida license up and down (that I've had for almost 2 and a half years) and tells me it's fake. I laugh and proceed to tell him I have other identification, like a debit card or social security and etc in my wallet. He then tells me, it's fake and that he can't give it back. I ask him to grab another manager and have another set of eyes look at my ID. They scan it on their machine and it comes back exactly what my information is and still tells me it's "fishy". I got the cops involved in the situation, didn't help at all, seemed to be buddies with the staff of the bar and by the time everything was settled, I didn't even want to be there or give them the chance to even earn my business. Completely humiliated me, and made themselves look very unprofessional. I will never set foot in this place nor will I probably ever visit this side of town again. Completely disappointed in this entire situation. In other words FUCK THE INDIAN QUEEN!!! read more

CREDIT CARD FRAUD multiple times when I wasn't in Augusta. They stole my number and I'm not from there and used it a YEAR LATER. Also horrible service, the owner definitely didn't graduate from college and they literally don't even know how to make a vodka soda. If you go here (which is literally the worst decision of your life) use cash because these people are sleaze bags (mostly talking about the owner). read more
