Food is okay staff is friendly and polite very nice atmosphere. However do not buy drinks the pours are very very small and little alcohol. On a busy night you will spend three times more for cocktails than any other bar in the Wilmington area. Message stick to your basic bar food and dart beer. Remember husk drinks are a 6sec pour or 2 1/4 ozs of liquor. Hope this helps. read more

Here's an idea- if your kitchen is open late nights, train your staff on the menu :) I have an allergy and ordered a menu item with a slight modification to the bread and was told that I was wrong and the bread modification was actually true to the menu. I tried to ensure that it was being done with the bread I requested (I asked for the Italian on sourdough, I've had it done times and times before) but when I received it, it was the bread I am allergic to. I wasted $20 for something I couldn't eat because the staff wasn't informed on what the basic ingredients were. This isn't an issue on the staff in my opinion- it's an issue on the training of these employees. They clearly have a lot on their plate. If you're going to offer a late night menu, it's up to the shift leads to ensure and confirm the right information. And it wasn't done in this case. read more

If you're going to have a beer, it's fine. I would not suggest eating here. The restaurant needs a deep cleaning and better bar food. Everything we got looked as if it had been ordered frozen and microwaved. No one waited on us, we had to order everything at the bar. The restrooms smelled like a bad sewer pipe. read more

Great spot to catch the game and grab a drink! We came here to sit at the bar and it was completely blocked off due to COVID, so we grabbed a spot next to the big screen to catch the PGA championship. There were a couple regulars that we sat next to and they were extremely friendly. The staff was also really cool and had some good jokes. read more

The bartenders are known to scam here!!!! $12 for a Long Island tea. I got two of them... so $24 for 2 small drinks I could have made at home.... and they didn't even get me tipsy. Came in for a drink after a walking tour and before dinner. It's a casual sports bar with a good vibe. There are lots of daily drink specials, classic and rotating taps, and house wines. The food menu has some unusual items for this Northern. Loaded Totchos, Buffiyaki sauce, pickled jalapeños, pickle brine chicken sandwich, all sound delicious! This is a pretty large bar that serves bar food and has an outside and inside area. I did not try any food but I did have a drink and enjoy sitting outside where they had a DJ, outside bar, and several a TV's on the wall. Bar staff was friendly. In the women's restroom, the bottom of the stall doors were so high up you could practically see everything. I thought that was weird. read more

This is a cool ass bar and they opened early on Thanksgiving. Being from out of town, it was very nice to have a place to grab some food for lunch. We had the shrimp tacos and chatted up the bartenders. They were extremely kind and we were grateful to find this place with its doors wide open. read more

Middle of the afternoon on a Monday - it was me and several college girls at the bar. I had a Foothills Hoppyum IPA which was good enough and cheap at $4.00. Second visit I had a Blue Point White IPA also good. Decor is a bit rustic. Several beers on tap with a list of both draft and tap beers on a chalkboard. I will post a pix. Lots of smaller flat-screens near the booths, larger flat-screens at each end of the bar. Very busy and loud on the weekends; mostly a younger crowd. read more

This place is growing on me. It's quickly becoming my let's-go-have-a-drink-go-to. The bar is huge and there's a nice little courtyard in the back. Really cute in the evening. In fact I almost hosted an event here, sadly it did not work out. The booths are quite large. Big enough for a large party. There are two half circle booths also. One near the bar and another towards the back, if you want more privacy. They have bar food available. I heard their grilled cheese is good but I haven't tried it. I plan to get the ultimate Bloody Mary next time. It's a Bloody Mary (which btw is the best in Wilmington. Take my word for it) served with a grilled cheese, tater tots and a chicken wing. I might be off on the fixins a bit but my interest is certainly peaked. Nice beer selection too. PS- they love dogs! read more

I love this bar! It's so easy-going and laid back. I've been here several times after work with a co-workers. Great atmosphere. The bar tenders are really nice and knowledgeable. We normally grab a seat at the bar. I've gotten an appetizer once-and it came out fast and hot! When I went this weekend, my friend and I grabbed a cider and sat in a booth. I forgot that they had pool tables. Our booth had a tv in it, which would be perfect for Panthers' football games. The crowd on a Saturday was made up of locals, people from wedding parties, and tourists. Loved the crowd, and how alive it was on a Saturday afternoon! read more

I'm a 26-year-old woman from Minneapolis. I have a Minnesota ID so I'm used to bouncers/bartenders being skeptical, but I've never had anyone be so rude, condescending, and aggressive as the bartender at The Husk. After I showed him my ID, he laughed in my face, said this is fake, and asked me to leave. When I told him that it was a real ID, he called security to escort me out if the building immediately. My experience here was "eh"... Roomy with nice ambiance, but when I ordered a cider, it came out dark and red. I drank it anyway, figuring why not? My second request for the same cider gave me the same results, so I approached the bartender. The keg had been placed on the wrong tap and they had no other cold ones (I finally found this out after the bartender walked away from me to go chat with a friend). I was offered an alternate, bottled cider, which was great, and did get an apology from the barback who told the bartender the cold kegs were out. Imagine my surprise when I closed out my tab and I was charged for 3 drinks. I literally took one small sip of the SECOND incorrect cider but was apparently charged for it. At this point, I didn't feel like arguing as my friends and I were ready to leave and my card was already charged (they don't run it at the end of the night, but give it back when you open a tab; odd), so I ignored it, but something is a bit off when a bartender pulls a cider draught and doesn't notice the dark red color, kegs are placed on the wrong taps, and customers are overcharged. This probably won't be a bar to which I'll be returning on a regular basis. I've lived in Wilmington many years and have never had this kind of weird service before. Bonus: the ladies' bathroom was consistently out of toilet paper in one stall and had no paper towels. It was early in the evening, so apparently they didn't even check the restrooms? Much better service and knowledgeable bartenders at Blue Post and Satellite. Also, I'd recommend viewing the "hidden" yelp reviews for this establishment; if you're so inclined. read more

My favorite part about watching a Sunday game here is the Blood Mary's. This signature drink is basically the best of comfort food pilled high on top of the perfect cocktail. Yelper's love this business because of the great seating to accommodate large crowds and the cheap drink specials. This place is a favorite for many locals to watch the game because the venue is huge and not as busy on Sunday afternoons. read more

This place is great! We stopped by here because we noticed we could bring our dog inside. The beers are very reasonably priced for the area and there is lots of seating with access to tv's which was nice to watch a game on. The staff was friendly and very nice to our furry friend, they kept bringing him water and giving him attention. I would highly recommend this as a cool place to hang out, have a beer, and watch a game, especially if you have your pet tagging along. read more

It seems like a fun bar, but it gets so busy... it takes 20 minutes to get a drink. Then if you are are at the outside bar, you may be ignored (as I was) after waiting for 20+minutes, and when I say something I am told that "it is first come first serve" ... when I have clearly seen 2 or 3 groups come after me and get a drink. I wish I caught her name, but she was very unprofessional and turned people away.
