After watching City draw 1-1 with Wolves in a frustrating game which once again proved the need for VAR, I called in Nando's after the game, hungry (with it being an early kick-off and getting little change to eat), and I was expecting good things as generally with the exceptions of very few branches, Nando's is a decent place to get food. I was told I would have to wait 10 minutes for a table, which I kind of expected - one thing which was made clear straight away is this store is really small and perhaps inside it is one of the smallest Nando's I've been in, so it did feel much more cramped than other stores. Even the selection of sauces was smaller in terms of ketchup and pots to put the sauces in, they were spread out and sometimes hard to find - I couldn't even find salt or pepper! The ordering station was also quite small, after a ten minute wait for food I was told that I'd have to wait a further half an hour for my food, and like the wait for my table it took a couple of minutes over - This should have been made clear when I was willing to wait, as I expected to wait and then the food being served quite quick similar to other branches I've been to on an event day that was quite busy, such as near to Leicester's King Power Stadium and London's famous Wembley Stadium. The table seemed a little uncomfortable, my table basically felt not positioned right, it was on the wall as you went into the toilets, not allowing a lot of room. My food quality was quite poor, the chicken did taste a bit chewy, and the chips possibly tasted reheated - the chicken is halal here but I didn't see this stated clearly enough when entering the restaurant or order. This Nando's stores also seems slightly more old-fashioned compared to other stores, from the entrance to the doors you actually go through. Apart from probably one staff member, the rest of the staff here didn't seem too helpful or friendly either which was the shame, going alongside the awful overall feel of this branch and the poor food quality, I sadly feel Nando's on Queen Street in Wolverhampton deserves a single one-star rating.

You get seated and decide what to eat and then you go to the till and pay for it and wait for it to arrive and it doesn't take that long max 15 mins ive ever waited. They offer you nuts (which you have to pay for) while you are waiting for your food. They staff are nice but are mainly foreign and don't talk much English but they do smile. The nearest is in Birmingham and I have been to both the food is very nice. You get to pick how hot you would like the chicken and can add sides. The prices for a meal out I think are reasonable and the music inside is great. Makes you want to get up and have a little dance.

Jivan's is the bomb…read more I spent much of my college years partying in this horrible town and I never once thought to visit this place. Then one of my good friends in my later years promised me this would be a great place for a curry. So initial thoughts is it definitely looks outdated outside and in but surprisingly it is not all that uncomfortable with the old wooden decor. I will admit in around 20 visits here I have only ever order the one dish and that is the minced lamb curry with naan, it is that good! It is a family run restaurant and they are very awesome folk who work here. I have only ever been during the week so not sure what the weekend rush is like.

Great tasting curry and a good portion served in a balti dish. Their chicken tikka sizzler starter dish is great too (£8.00 but can serve 3/4). Take-away also available. Look on the W/ton council website for the environmental health scores on the doors and Jivans scores one of the highest (4 stars) in the town for excellent food standards and kitchen hygiene. Better score than places that charge twice as much! Its only a small place with formica tables, so its not the sort of place for a special meal, there are far more swankier places to visit - but for a quick curry in a hurry after a real ale session, or a curry before the theatre this place can't be beaten. Great food, good portions, great prices - my favourite place.

I had lamb shank which was cooked to perfection and my wife went for the scallops and monkfish which she told me was the best shed had in a long time,we both shared a warm chocolate brownie with a small glass of dessert wine which complimented the richness of the chocolate to perfection! I have to say I was very impressed with the whole experience and will be going back very soon, this time mob handed with friends!

A friend and I ate here Wednesday 1st June 2016 it's a small ish restaurant with around 10 tables for 2/4 on the ground floor, but a surprisingly larger room upstairs where functions such as tribute band nights a private do's are held I was impressed with the food quality. I had scallops raped in proceto, and my colleague had the veg soup. Both were tasty and well cooked the fish was tender and flavoursome the ham was crisp and and balanced well with the scallops, four scallops and a salad dressing My main course was Duck cooked pink with shaved root veg again flavesome and well balanced. When you first walk into this place you think, this is a bit small to be good, but eat your food then judge I was pleased with my food and so was my colleague. I will return and are going to try the tribute night
