The service was great. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. They were helpful in helping build me a sugar free iced coffee. It was so hot outside the ice melted rapidly while I ran errands so it got a bit watered down but I found it enjoyable up to that point. That's in me and not on them. I'm sure I'll be back again.

I understand that busy situations can be stressful, but there's no reason to speak to a customer disrespectfully for bringing up a legitimate concern. POLITICAL DRIVE-THRU BARISTA?!…read more I pulled into this Starbucks drive-thru this morning, 9/16/26, and before I could even get through my order, the barista said to me, "No ICE warrant today?" I was honestly caught completely off guard. There was no joke, no context, and no conversation leading up to it. He said it in a very serious, stern tone, which made the comment even more uncomfortable. I'm a customer simply trying to get my coffee. I shouldn't have to wonder whether I'm walking into a political conversation or being singled out because of someone's personal views. I didn't catch his name at the time, but after reviewing the photos from my Tesla camera, I can see that his name tag says Chuck. What makes the interaction even more uncomfortable is that, immediately afterward, his coworker appears to have overheard the comment and turned around/looked toward him as if reacting to what was said. You can see her in the background of the photos. I'm sharing these photos because they are still images captured from my Tesla's camera, not photos I took inside the store. Whether Chuck intended it as a joke or not, that is not an appropriate way to address a customer, especially when the comment involves a politically charged subject like ICE. The tone and circumstances made the interaction feel extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable. Starbucks should be a place where customers can order a coffee without being unexpectedly dragged into political commentary by an employee. I hope management addresses this and takes customer concerns like this seriously.
