Omg! I normally go here but for the first time I had a not so grand experience. I freaking almost swallowed a bee. I'm not sure how it happened or what but I'm sure an employee or something would have seen this bee. As I was drinking at work I thought I was sipping on what felt like corn shells I guess?? On our way back from Austin to San Antonio, we found this coffee spot and were very pleased with our experience and coffee! Flavorful and decently priced! We got mediums that looked more like large! The staff/cashier was very friendly and helpful. This coffee spot is just a drive thru (no type of seating) so it's convenient to grab some coffee for the road! 10/10 and will be returning to try some other items on the menu! read more

We ordered two iced coffees, and My Husband told the girl at the window to please make them extra extra sweet she said OK. By the way, she was not talkative at all, and she had little blue stars, stuck all over her face and did not make very much eye contact and she didn't talk very much & she didn't smile . I ordered the iced medium Carmelo and it literally had no sweetener in it at all. It was very plain. I asked her if she could please add some simple syrup into it to make it sweet. She took it from My Husband, went over to another lady that was making drinks and said something about having to add simple syrup into my drink. She wasn't happy about it. It was obvious by what she was saying and the look on her face. This is very poor customer service. We usually go to on the grind on Walzem Road where we get exemplary service, and I will not be coming back to this on the grind ever again. Please train your employees to be better and do better. read more

3.5, this is more of a "me" thing than the coffee shop. I'm not a huge fan of sweet and it's a lot of sweet options and no drip coffee. But it is a drive thru, and open at 5am so that's really great. I recommend if you're "on the grind" and headed to work. Pun intended. read more

Definitely a hidden GEM! This has to be the best coffee shop. You can taste the freshness! It doesn't taste fermented. Is Dark and strong just like I like my men! I will be back. My current go-to coffee joint! Gotta love supporting a local and successful Texas business! No matter how long the line is, I can get in and out of there in less than 5 minutes every time! The service is always kinder than kind. Every time I leave, I drive away thinking, "Dang, they were nice" haha. My coworkers and I are obsessed with it. I guarantee you, if you walk into my workplace at any given time, one of us has a cup of coffee from On the Grind lol. Their iced coffee just hits the spot. It's consistently delicious. What can I say this little hidden drive thru gem is the best coffee in SA! I promise after you've been here and see what options they have and there great customer service you won't ever go back to that water downed Starbucks coffee again lol I honestly never liked Starbucks anyways and this place opened my mind up to really trying different coffee options until you figure out what you like best. Large americano with steamed heavy whipping cream. I can only assume that there is no right way to make this since it comes out different nearly every time I order. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt and say maybe it was an off day for the barista...but just way too many off days. Makes this 2 hour drive depressing. So my choices for americanos gets smaller and smaller since I stopped going to Starbucks and now OTG. Too bad I don't like dessert coffee because I am sure all the sweeteners masks the flavor of the coffee or maybe mask the quality of the beans. Either way, for those of you that like dessert coffee, I am sure this place is the rigjt spot for you. If a bad cup of expresso or Americano is what you need...look no further as they got that here. On the grind entirely specializes in fun, unique, and inventive coffee drinks. While the lines are often long, they do a good job of sending people out to work through them quickly. The grasshopper is a favorite of mine when I want a sugar kick, but the iced americano always hits the spot. The only draw back is that they don't have any food. It would be nice to have a donut or breakfast bun with my coffee if possible. In short, good coffee, fair prices, and fast service. A far better option than Starbucks. Of the coffee shops in the area, this is a good one for a fast brew, better than Starbucks and Dunkin, but falls short of the top spot. read more

Huge disappointment! we ordered four drinks and five muffin tops. The muffins rips weee frozen and in wrappers! they were soggy and moldy. We for our money back for the muffins and didn't even touch the packages. They refused! it was 50.00! planning on calling corporate to file a complaint. read more

I love supporting local when I can, especially when it things like coffee. OTG small little drive thru with 2 windows always open. Even when the line is long, definitely get in and out faster than going to SB on Pat Booker. The menu is great! All the options available. I love that who ever is on the other side of that window has a smile on their face and actually interact with you as a person. Prices are amazing! Their coffee definitely is the best hands down!! Better than Starbucks! This place is legit! Don't let the small locations fool you, the coffee here packs a punch. Most important of all, the coffee here is delicious. I've had the "Mexican Mocha, Hawaiian, and Big Tex", and I didn't have to add extra sugar, cinnamon or any other type of flavor and each was exquisite. The Mexican Mocha is a spiced cinnamon mocha. The Hawaiian is a chocolate macadamia nut. And the Big Tex has two expresó shots, hazel nut and caramel mocha. read more

This wonderful little drive-through coffee shop chain is a cheaper and quality alternative to the more expensive standard places. On The Grind seems to focus on fancy/sweet coffees and such, including chai tea and milkshakes, but simple black coffees are available. The menu is smallish but still has plenty of options and potential modifications to those options. There are several unique combinations and possible additions, at least in my experience. What I've tried had very good flavor -- definitely equal to or better than options from more established competitors, but cheaper as the prices here are excellent. The staff members are friendly and efficient. FYI, the process is to drive up to one of the two windows (serving different directions), order and pay, wait a minute for the staff to make your drinks, and then you're on your way. read more

Also, my iced coffee was supposed to have caramel and there was just a little bit at the bottom of the cup.
