I was super excited to bring my girls here as they are Sonic fans. The promo advertisements on the windows and doors were great. The ambiance screamed Sonic. The young lady at the register was very nice. Gave suggestions and answered all our questions. The snow cones looked delicious, but it was just way too much sugar for us. We thought it was just a topping, but there were layers of the candy all throughout the snow cone. Even with that it didn't help the flavor. The majority of the time it tasted just like crushed ice. I mean if they put the flavored syrup in it; it was no where to be found. Came in with some co-works for a cool afternoon treat. We loved all the flavors and options available. You have smoothie, shaved ice, lemonade, and and combination of options available. The menu selection is great and you can always customize. They even have ice cream available. The cream that is customarily included in the smoothie is non dairy but the whipped cream added on top is dairy based- for all my vegan/lactose intolerant folks. I ordered the bahama colada which has an island feel as it serves you this pineapple and coconut flavor. You get to select an additional fruit and I selected banana. It was such a great treat! The smoothie consistency was evenly mixed and very flavorful. I even went back on the weekend for another! It's that great. They have indoor and outdoor patio seating for when you want to enjoy the weather. They have a drive thru for the quick swing ins. the parking lot is small and often a gets crowded with cars and the drive thru line so be patient. read more

The person taking our order sounded upset over the speaker, so I was going to leave a tip (like we normally do) in hopes that it would make her night a tad better. There was no hello, no proper greeting just rudely blurted out my total, took the money and shut the window. While handing us the order, she didn't even tell me what was what. Wow... so yummy. Not sure how I missed this place before as I love frozen treats. Their ice has to be the best I've ever come across. It's soft and merry when you eat it, but holds together good on the drive. My son got the funky monkey smoothie and he was really happy with how the flavors went together. I say I am a newbie eating shaved ice, but I have been eating New Orleans snoballs since I was 6. And everyone knows those snoballs are really like snow--heavenly powdered light puffs of airy goodness. Now I do appreciate that place in New Braunfels with the organic, hand crafted syrups, but the texture of the shaved ice here at Bahama Bucks is just like those wonderful NOLA snoballs: heavenly. There are about a jillion flavors here, and you can add ice cream, condensed milk, chamoy, Lucas powder, or any thing you can dream of. I got the 16oz for $3.49, and they put like a 4 inch cone on top of that with an umbrella. They went a little light in the syrup dept, though, and the wedding cake I tried did not taste as good as that other place. I may try one of their extreme sour flavors next. They also have smoothies and frappe type coffee drinks. Its the texture of that snow though that will bring me back. The drive though was super fast, and they were very nice. read more
