TLDR: [[HIGHLIGHT]]nice environments, good drinks, okay food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think the hype got to this place. Must get dishes: crispy brussel sprouts, iberico ham and wood grilled wings. If you have social media, you must've heard of this place as THE place to try in North Jersey. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is beautiful, service is great but the food, unfortunately, is not at the caliber that I was expecting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices are on the higher side so you expect to have higher quality food. Its enormous social media presence definitely backfired.... French fries: a bit on the soggier side Wood grilled wings: great Smokey flavor and came in an amazing sauce. Wings were very meaty and juicy. Recommend getting this dish. Ribeye: cooked very well but the sauce did not go well with the meat. Also, some pieces of the steak were inedible due to some silver skin being present. Could've been trimmed a bit better Crispy brussel sprouts: brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy and the pickled red onions were a nice touch. Recommend getting this dish. Salmon crudo: it was an okay dish. Kind of surprised that it didn't come with chips. It was missing the texture. Burrata: generous portions of prosciutto, creamy Burrata. Great combo. Recommend getting this dish Branzino: grilled pretty well but not much to praise here. It seemed very basic and didn't go well with the rest of the menu Octopus carpaccio: veryyyyyy thin octopus that is overwhelmed by the olives. Cereal milk tiramisu: great dessert to end the night Iberico secreto: was a bit taken aback when the server asked how I wanted my pork cooked... regardless, this was THE best dish of the night. Pork was had perfect proportion of meat to fat, sauce was good and the grilled veggies were a nice touch as well. Apple Pie Bombolini: was an okay dessert. Would've been 10000000x better if it was warmed up prior to being served.

I came for bingo brunch and we had a blast. It was a buffet menu, everything was pretty good. I especially liked the French toast. I booked through Resy and they charge you to hold the reservation. FYI - they add an auto 20% gratuity.

Was so excited to try a new restaurant in the neighborhood that presents itself with a higher standard for food and experience. My overall thought is that for a new restaurant, they are off to a great start and they will only get better. I am excited to return in a couple of months to see how they evolve. Service is friendly and professional. Can definitely tell they have some more amateur staff here, but nothing that won't improve over time. I came at 7:30PM on a Saturday night and the place was packed. This restaurant gets VERY loud because of all of the conversation in such a large space, at least on the second floor. The table of 6 next to us were basically yelling to hear each other. Finally, the food: Octopus carpaccio: 4/5 Octopus is perfectly sliced. Good added flavor with dill. But overall primarily only taste the olives. Caviar dogs: 4/5 What we came for! So fun. Worth getting just for the fun of it. White crème fraiche was more subtle than expected. The caviar added a nice salty touch House Rolls: 5/5 Our favorite! So so fluffy and soft and the butter was delicious Iberico Secreto: 4/5 Pork was a little overcooked, but the onions and sauce were so delicious that it masked it. Cheap thrills cocktail: 5/5 The waiters recommendation, and he was right! It was a great tequila cocktail.

Hudson Rose is getting a lot of hype, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, I was kinda disappointed. The interior is very attractive. The service was very good. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. They have some fun cocktails that seem to be popular. I had a non alcoholic version that was delicious. For appetizers, we had the Tuna Crudo and the Octopus Carpaccio. The Octopus is an excellent dish. Beautiful paper thin slices of octopus, with pops of briny capers, this dish is a winner. The Tuna Crudo was honestly ridiculous. Three weird little pieces of tuna, that looked like they came from supermarket sushi, were placed on fried chunks of avocado. Huh?! We ordered the special Tomahawk Steak for Two for our entree with Creamed Spinach and Boardwalk Fries. When the steak was put in front of us, we both thought the same thing - this is kinda small for two people. It just didn't look like $152 worth of meat. It was tender, but the flavor was just ok. The Spinach was good. We were given the duck fat potatoes by mistake, and these were much better than the Boardwalk Fries. For dessert we shared the Fruity Pebbles Tiramisu, and the Birthday Cake. The Tiramisu was dry. There really wasn't any cream in it at all. The Cake was humongous, but overwhelming sweet. The cake was moist, but there was way too much frosting. There are some other interesting sounding dishes that I would be willing to come back and try. It's in my hometown, so I would like them to succeed. But they're not there yet.

We were in Nutley, New Jersey for lunch. The Hudson Rose had high ratings and presents itself as being modeled after the New York City dinning experience. Seeing the dinning options on restaurant row in Nutley and the their Yelp ratings, expectations for any restaurant here would be elevated. The Hudson Rose is a good size resaurant, clean with a Mid-Century look and vibe. A late lunch, we were one of four tables seated. Known for their brunch menu, breakfast selections were plentiful. Here for lunch, we only had four options plus apitizers. I ordered the Kimchi Chicken appitizer and two pieces of the meat were pink to red on the bone, the vinagrete with kimchi powder was bland. The kimchi pickels that came with the chicken apitizer were great. The Chicken Caesar Sando presented well and was fresh tasting but bland, no crunch to the fried chicken and served room tempature. My wife requested It be turned into a wrap. With no flour tortilla's on hand, it could not be done. The Hudson Rose Burger was good, the best part was the bacon I ask to be added. The fries had great flavor but were cold. With the long wait time between the appetizer and our meals being served. Experience suggest our meals sat and cooled before coming to the table. The overall reviews of The Hudson Rose are very good and we just may be the exception.

This spot is the newbie in town . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Walked in , Decor & vibe immediately reminded me of one my favorites in NYC - Fig & Olive .[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Feels like it belongs more in Hoboken , then the tiny town of Nutley . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Spacious main dining section . Large Bar area .[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food . American Flare. We all enjoyed our apps , meals and cocktails . ( pics below ) . A bit pricey for the portion . my server i believe his name was Gustavo ( i hope that's right ) was attentive . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nutley again is a small , family oriented town . Not sure given prices if it will gain traction and foot traffic [[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Although it faces a main street Franklin Ave , the better entrance is in the back . Where there is parking . you cut through nutley diner driveway . . [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a nice date night , girls night out kinda of place [[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. There is a second floor where you can have a bridal , baby shower or Birthday celebration . or small wedding . Yes , i would go back !

Started with a few yummy cocktails that we ended up reordering ... a bit pricey $15 a drink so fyi. Then shared a few apps - grilled artichoke, wedge salad and kimchi fried chicken. All awesome! Then we shared two dinners tortellini pasta dish and the pork dish with three sides, mac and cheese, boardwalk french fries, and creamed spinach. Flavors were good but came out cold. The service was awesome and tried some desserts thanks to their hospitality - raspberry cheesecake, cinnamon bun and cookies and milk. Highly recommend the cinnamon bun! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience great and the chef gave us a complimentary taste of the tomato soup - yum![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a fun new high quality spot in NJ.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cool twists on your basic dishes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool vibe inside and the staff were so nice and attentive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We may or may not have over ordered and the portions are huge. First, the rolls. Warm, soft, delicious. The Caesar salad was perfect, tons of cheese and well dressed. Definitely satisfied the craving. The salmon tartare (one of the days specials) was a little flavorless and I wouldn't order it again. The steak tartare had truffle in it so if you don't like truffle, skip this. It was very rich and a little heavy but we enjoyed it. I love cucumber salad and so we ordered it. Wasn't too into it and wouldn't get again. We loved the kimchi fried chicken. The sauce on top was amazing and the chicken was still crispy and the pickles that came with it were so good. Super filling and we should've stopped her but there's more We got the filet mignon which was a little overdone but tasted great. We got spinach and Mac and cheese as side and the Mac and cheese was good but the spinach was meh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you come here, bring a lot of friends and pace yourself because you'll want to try everything[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The hostess was not friendly at all. No greeting or smile. The restaurant was not busy. She just kept walking around., never asked how our meal was. She said nothing when we left. Our waiter took our order then just stood at our table for 4 minutes putting order in on a handheld machine. It was strange, we actually stared to laugh. We only ordered 4 items. The restaurant was very nicely renovated, comfortable. We shared oysters to start, they were some of the best I've had this year, amazing! Very nice presentation. The French Dips were good served with a horseradish Au Jus. I could not taste any horseradish. Dips served with shoestring fries which I never enjoy, would have preferred regular fries. They need to work on service. I will come back and try dinner. Nice restaurant to bring family, friends or clients.

Went on a Saturday for brunch with girlfriends and overall would recommend! The setting is nice and modern, our server was friendly and attentive. For appetizers I'd recommend the kimchi chicken that come with pickles if you're a pickle lover like me. Entrees we tried and enjoyed were the chicken Cesar sandwich, shrimp and grits and the hanger steak however fries were super salty. For the desert would also recommend the tiramisu if you have someone to share with.

As an absolute degenerate in town. This place is amazing. I had 2 espresso martinis and the caviar hot dogs. The service and the actual food and drink. Absolutely amazing. Espresso martinis PHENOMENAL. I'm not one to buy a $28 caviar hot dog. But I did. But this place proved me wrong. I highly recommend this place if u are willing to pay for the experience. Also take a baddie here if u are on a first date it's almost automatic. She will marry you, and probably divorce you 2 years down the line... still worth it...

My family and I had an amazing experience at the Hudson Rose yesterday. We had a party of 10 for my mother's birthday and they made accommodations for my family member in a wheelchair. Everyone from the hosts to manager and busboys were very accommodating and friendly. Special thanks to our waitress Vanessa, she did an amazing job. They sat us in a private glass room that looked out into the main restaurant so you still felt part of the vibe. Everything we had was delicious from the crafted cocktails to dessert. All the food was amazing, but a few of my favorites included the kimchi fried chicken, hotdogs with caviar, octopus, chicken wings and blackened prime rib. Also shout out for a place having a great peanut butter mouse dessert on the menu. The ambiance was elegant and modern, but warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back soon.

The restaurant when you walk in has a very nice bar area and we were sat in the room just next to it nearby with an electric fireplace wall. It was in the middle of the week and we had a reservation, but it was not crowded at all. However, the server took a very long time to come to take orders to let us know about any specials, and we on a number of occasions had to ask for extra bread or more water. That was highly disappointing. Made the reservation based on Yelp reviews. However, in our experience, we did not have as satisfactory of an experience. members of our party ordered filet mignon, ribeye and short rib, and CB chicken scarpariello, and rigatoni bolognaise. We ordered a number of oysters on the half shell, the buffalo mozzarella, some fried calamari, and Tuna tartare to start and baked clams. Ordered an old fashioned but was too sweet. Pappardelle with large, meaty scallops was the standout. The Steaks were cooked to medium rare and rare as requested. Daughter enjoyed the ravioli. What wasn't as enjoyable and overdone was the rigatoni. The orrechiette with broccoli rabe and sausage was fine but needed healthy sprinkle of cheese for flavor. We brought our own birthday cake from Gencarellis in nearby Bloomfield which was appreciated and ordered some cappuccino and espresso. They already included a 20% gratuity in the bill which was fine for a large party but based on the actual service felt like overtipping.

They do have coffee so that's a plus. And the coffee is made with a French press. Very tasty. They have a good menu. Something for everyone. We started off with the guacamole app and clam chowder. The guacamole is plentiful and tasty. Also the salsa was delish too. My table patrons didn't like the clam chowder. They said it was too salty. For the mains we ordered the roasted chicken, hot chicken sandwich and the Cajun seafood alfredo The Hot chicken was divine and huge. You won't be disappointed with that one. Good amount of spice. The roasted chicken was lemon rosemary jus was delicious as well. I ordered the pasta which was supposed to come with jumbo shrimp and andouille sausage. As soon as I received my dish I asked the waitress where the sausage was, she couldn't answer but went to get her manager. The manager said normally it's under the pasta. Still, no sausage in the pasta. They apologized and made the sausage and added it to the pasta. I wish that was the only issue. The menu states that it's a cajun Alfredo sauce and hate to say but this was just bland. Not flavorful at all. 2 waiters recommended it but I'm not sure why. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5. The portion size was good but again no real taste. Overall this was a nice place. I just need to study the menu and read more reviews about what to order here.

If you get her as your server, it's a start to a pleasant and great meal. Angelina knows what she's talking about! One feedback would be to learn how to better time the serving of the foods. We got our soup and shrimp cocktail as starters but literally 3 minutes later, our entrees were served to the table. Our entrees got cold while we tried to finish our starters. Please look to have the servers better time the serving of entrees AFTER the starters are finished. I had the New England Clam Chowder and the Prime rib. The clam chowder was tasty but lacked clams. They added andouille sausage to the chowder to give it a nice tasty twist but this should not have taken away from the amount of clams expected in a clam chowder. Prime rib was a good thick cut. But served warm and almost at room temperature. Not exactly how I would like my prime rib. Shoe string fries were tasty. My boyfriend ordered the Clam Chowder and Shrimp Cocktail as starters, followed by Cajun Sea Pasta and a bunch of side dishes - southern Coke slaw, black beans and rice and the loaded baked potato. Shrimps in the shrimp cocktail was good sized shrimp topped with old bay seasoning. The pasta was seasoned just right, very tasty and delicious. Cole slaw was crunchy which meant the Cole slaw was freshly made and not sitting in the sauce for too long. Loaded baked potato was of good size and baked to the right softness. Black beans and rice was the only side dish that was a bit too salty but went great when mixed with the baked potato. Overall, we were impressed with Angelina's services, friendliness of the staff and quality of the foods.

He kept asking if we wanted to add specific things to all our orders and even if we said no, he still insisted on it. This even occurred with shots of alcohol. I explicitly said I was driving and didn't want it and still shots were brought out with out us even asking. We thought maybe he was being very nice. Or maybe something was included we didn't know about ( what was added were things like a Caesar salad, Brussel sprouts, and sweet potato fries so it easy to see how we didn't see it was things out of the ordinary included as sides for meals) or we were for some reason getting something comped, but that was not the case. Our bill was ASTRONOMICAL. If we didn't have these items we didn't want added on, it would have been fine but this type of way of doing business makes me never want to go back. We considered fighting the bill, but we did eat the food because at the time we thought it was either included or comped. Please be aware of this if you visit this restaurant, and if you are insisted upon adding things to your order learn from our mistake and ask more questions if it's included or make sure you explicitly say NO.

Its English name comes from a Greek legend: Zeus had an affair with a beautiful woman named Io. When Hera, his wife, discovered his infidelity, she turned Io into a cow and created a horsefly to sting her on the rump. Io jumped clear across the strait. Thus, "bous" = "cow" and "poros" = "crossing place": Bosphorus = "crossing place of the cow." Located off of busy Franklin Avenue in Nutley, my partner, our friends, and I have decided on our dinner at this family-owned-and-run BYOB establishment, which has been open since 1995. A reservation was made for a party of 4 by calling their restaurant. Upon arrival after three years, we were welcomed by Nora, the owner, and made our way to a table by the piano inside, evoking a cozy, thoughtfully designed, upscale vibe with music playing softly. Their menu features Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. For starters, we decided on the Puffed Rill Pastry and Grape Leaves. Our main meal consisted of all lamb dishes (Lamb Shish Kebab, Beyti Kebab, Lamb Chops, and Lamb Sauté). Our food was fresh, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection, accompanied by a beautifully presented dish. Everything was authentically made with love here. Wish we could have stayed for dessert, as they looked amazing, but some of us were in a rush. It's definitely on the higher end cost but worth the taste. Our visit ended with a hug and a piece of candy.
